**This review is based on the Makeup Reservation only, not the rest of the store **…read more Background context: I had a birthday event at 6pm. So I arranged this appointment to fit my schedule to be able to get to the event on time. I had reservations at a restaurant at 6pm and this makeup appointment was supposed to be done by 4:15pm leaving plenty of time to make it to my event. I booked a makeup reservation with MARYAM F. On 10/03/26 at 3:30pm for "Everyday makeup application" that was a 45min appointment. I made this reservation one week prior (09/26/26) I arrived at 320pm and checked into the back salon area where Maryam was doing someone's hair. She told me "I just need to blow dry her hair and I'll be done" (THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR LATER) I waited and by 4:15pm I saw Maryam finished blow drying the girls hair. She then brought out a curly iron and plugged it in. I stood up and let her know that I would be canceling the appointment because I had an event at 6pm and I booked the appointment for 330pm and it's already 15min past my appointment and I cannot wait for her to curl that girls hair. (Side Note: This girl had beautiful extremely long hair that past down her backside) . Maryam then walked over to another worker (who was working on someone) and asked her if she could do my makeup. The other worker shook her head no. I went up to speak to the manager and let her know that I made it a point to be on time for the appointment and I understood that things run late, yet Maryam should have been transparent with me when I arrived and let me know that she still needed to finish, drying her hair and styling it and given me the correct estimated time of her finishing. Instead, Maryam had me sit there for 15 minutes and waste my time. I could have gone home and done my own make up and started planning ahead. Yet, she decided to not be honest. Which completely threw off the rest of my tight schedule. The manager just said she was sorry and she would let the GM know. And that someone would contact me about this issue. Today is 10/08/26, and I have not received any email or call from them. My tip to Ulta is to tell your staff to be honest with a customers. Honesty and integrity goes a long way. I will never be booking at Ulta again, nor would I suggest that anyone else does. Go somewhere else where staff honors and respects people's appointments and time. Like Sephora.

I spoke to a floor man who had to tell her twice we were waiting. She knew we were waiting. Not even as a courtesy did she attempt to say hello, and sorry for being late. We would have understood. At 3:30 she had the nerve after making eye contact and knowing we were waiting to say "are you here for an eyebrow appt?" I told her we had an appt at 3pm and all she said was "it will be a couple more minutes". I then proceeded to say "I wish I would have known that sooner". She just walked away and didn't say sorry once. She was so rude and behavior of that nature is so disgusting. I don't know how she has a job doing what she does. Awful, awful! She should be ashamed. Finally, 2 minutes turned into 3:45pm. A total of 45 minutes later and no empathy or apology for us waiting. We left and told the manager we were leaving and how disappointed we were. We also said we would be yelping our experience. About 10 minutes after leaving the floor man who greeted us at the door asked if we wanted to come back later. Really?! We declined and said we would not be returning. Get it together!

The first month, the people behind the counter were very helpful and caring, but ever since they moved to automating everything with touch screens at Target, the experience has become very unfriendly and rushed. I feel like they tell me I'm doing it wrong every time. Not only that, but the hours are limited, the lines are long, and the staff would rather do anything but help you. Tonight I discovered my doctor had sent my prescription to a far-flung pharmacy. The people behind the counter told me to go there to get it changed rather than offering to change it at Target (because they didn't want to do more work before closing time?). I told them I would rather wait 15 minutes at Target than drive across town, wait in another line, and then come back to Target, but I shouldn't have had to tell them that. There was a woman behind the counter whose job it seemed to be to expedite things, but actually she was just rude and unhelpful and cutting people off to move things along. You know what doesn't make things faster? Doing them twice. The young man who had told me to go to the other store saw how flustered I was after I told him how rude and unhelpful they were all being. After that, he helped me get my prescription changed and get checked out and was quite nice. The overall experience there is stressful and hectic, and even more so if you are tired and in pain. Not only that, but this was after waiting for a medication for an unspecified amount of time because they didn't have it and couldn't tell me when they could get it. I really miss the team at the Bernardo CVS. They were friendly, caring, and helpful. But for now, Target it is. The only reason I gave a second star was for the gentleman who decided to be kind. This place is awful. Every month I think to myself, I really need to move my Rx to someplace else…read more But there is a really awesome Pho restaurant next door so I come back month after month. My chief complaints include: (1) Never once in a year have all of my prescriptions actually been ready at the same time. I have tried everything including auto refills. It's actually impressive that they still can't get it together. (2) There are two lines - drop off and pick up. God forbid you have a question about something that wasn't filled properly. You actually have to leave the drop off window and get back in line for the pick up window. On one especially confusing occasion when one of my Rx wasn't filled, I had to get back in line although I was the only customer. (3) Even when they get their act together and call your doctor for a refill, they don't let you know that your Rx has actually been filled. I once went back after they called and left a message that my doctor authorized a refill. When I got to the store, they didn't actually fill my Rx. I am giving this joint two stars based on the fact that the Pho next door is amazing and that they haven't actually killed me.

Picture if you will: two self checkouts, one broken and the other being used. The customer standing…read moreat the "working" self checkout was having problems with her purchase, but the cashier (brusque Indian woman in her 50s) rudely kept telling her repeatedly to "follow the instructions," although the customer was clearly confused. The cashier never helped her. I waited six minutes in line patiently (one person ahead of me) while she slowly rang up an elderly lady, which is just fine with me, because not every store can be staffed to help all customers at all times. This is a hard job, and I understand that these employees have to deal with rude customers all day. I finally handed my item to the cashier with a smile. The cashier's first action was to berate me for not using the self-checkout. When I started to explain that I got in line because one self-checkout was broken and the other was being used, she interrupted and dismissed me with a wave of her hand, berating me (again) for bringing her a pair of sunglasses (the only pair that fit me!) which had a barcode that wasn't working in her scanner. All this time, she's criticizing a young kid who's working behind her. She refused to help me, refused to let me explain why I couldn't simply bring up a different item which might have a different price. I don't work at CVS. I don't know what to look for. She just began fighting me on it, like it was the most natural thing in the world for her. I threw up my hands and walked out of the store without a purchase. Read some other reviews on this app. There's at least one talking about the same person, the same behavior. I don't care how long I have to wait in line. Like I said, I have compassion for stores that are understaffed and under-trained. I also have endless patience for this kind of thing usually. If anything, I'm the person wanting to make someone's day better if they're having a bad one. But this cashier was needlessly antagonistic, not just to me but to every customer and employee around me, creating an atmosphere and experience so unpleasant that now I'm logging on to f***ing YELP to write you a novel about this CVS location and warn you off it.
