When I got in I was well taken care of. Drinks offered and my servicer helped me figure out the best manicure for my best friend's wedding in Hawaii. I got dip with tip ($50) and added cuticle care ($10) and a gel polish change on my toes ($28) with cuticle care ($10). I asked for a flower design that I saw online. I can in at 4:50pm first time coming to this place inside has a nice setup. Got my nails done by David they don't do gel just dip nail polish so my mind was saying just trust the process. David was probably in a rush cause he filed my nail to much and graced my skin some blood did come from the fast filling. When it was done I was left with a lot of polish all of my fingers very messy. I won't come back to this place they over price and rushy. The host was very nice... just wish I could have left with 65 dollar nails but left with looks like 30 very sad. Nails came out shorter then I wanted. And then not even a week they chipped... I really want to thank everyone for such a quick, efficient, and flawless job on my gel mani and pedi. I was anxiously trying to find a nice salon as I was invited into a wedding here in Chattanooga. I was lost trying to find the entry way into the salon but the young lady that answered the phone and helped me get checked in was so very sweet. She even recommended a very pretty blue due to me being stuck between two colors! Don't even get me started on the complimentary drinks and snacks. I unfortunately did not get the names of the gentleman and young lady that did my hands and feet but they were so FAST and overall AMAZING. I was in and out in under and hour before my event this evening just a few minutes around the way from them. Staff was respectable of me not speaking much but was very hands on to make sure I was comfortable over all. I will for sure be back to see you all when I visit into town again. I wish I could give them less than one star...a Totally negative early morning (9:35am) experience on 11/11/24-I will NEVER return or recommend NAILWORKS even if they were the only salon open and my gel nails were hanging on by a piece of polish. I should have known before I signed in because the energy was off...but I signed in, picked my color without being prompted-there was no greeting, no one saying "sign in" or "be right with you"...it was like I was invisible as the staff were doing their thing, but I waited and waited for my turn and some words of confirmation that they would get to me shortly-finally I asked if I needed to have an appt even though it's on the door "walk ins welcome" I was told a pleasant "no" by the one nail tech. She asked me to to pick color (which I had already) and to sit anywhere I'd like and someone would be out...steaming, I walked over to a chair and waited another few minutes- still no one came out, after that I got up and left. I did not cause a scene because I knew the ones who obviously had appts were waiting on me to act a donkey....even though donkey behavior was totally warranted, I was not going to give them nor NailWorks' unprofessional and rude staff that satisfaction...I was not going to allow this to mess up my off day that is filled with self care...it did mess up my energy for about 15 minutes...until I went down the street to another salon and my presence and money was good there. I do not recommend!! We called and made an appointment for 6pm and they didn't even get started till 6:30. Then I got seated with David who proceeded to do a horrible job on my nails, he was super aggressive, cut my cuticles in multiple places and scratched my hand with the buffer block. He did everything in such a hurry and half way! I asked for shorter, rounded nails and got long pointed nails-- he got super annoyed when I asked to shape them more. Their "menu" said it was $45 for a full acrylic set and when I got up to pay they said it was $60!!!! Not worth it to have my cuticles torn up and wait so long with an appointment. My mom and I went to Nailworks for the first time recently. We each got a regular mani/pedi. The nail tech who did mine was Nana, and she did a great job. When they finished they didn't say other than 15 minutes past the time that we finished whether we needed to be cautious about air-dry time. Literally, minutes later my manicure was dented from picking up various things in my purse. Ok, this could have been partially my fault, but also it would have been helpful for them to have us sit under the fans or something to speed up drying time. Fast forward a couple of hours later, I go exercise. Later in the day, I notice that the polish on both of my big toes has melded to my socks! I have never had this happen before. So weird. So I go in the next day for them to fix just the nails that had issues. The receptionist is understanding of the situation and says they will take care of it. When I sit down with the tech, the lady starts in on a regular manicure. I tell her multiple times that I just need the two nails with issues to be fixed. She proceeds with the pedicure and I don't know what to do. So after that, we move to the mani station and THEN she only does the nails that were messed up. So she did understand me? I am seated at a drying station and she leaves a note with the amount for the pedicure. I am frustrated and confused by now. When I go up to pay, I explain what just happened (not that it wasn't obvious to those around who could see!) and she is apologetic. She gets the manager. The manager proceeds to tell me that it was my fault for not better communicating to the tech that I did not want the pedicure and says she will give me a 15% discount for the trouble. WHAT?! BUT GUYS, I just paid for a pedicure the day before! And now I was being told that it was my fault the woman didn't speak good English and couldn't understand. I had a great experience here, followed by a not-so-great one. If you go and have a good experience, that's awesome. Just don't expect them to make it right if something doesn't go as planned. read more

A week ago, I visited Nail Works on Main St. in Chattanooga, TN. My nails chipped the next day plus I wasn't satisfied with my pedicure. I wrote a Google review and the owner replied saying that they wanted to make things right. I called and spoke to the receptionist and she told me my new services would be free or she would call me back, but if I didn't hear from her the owner approved my free services. At the time I told her I needed a fill, nail design and pedicure she said thanks for letting her know and she set the appointment. I came back to Nail Works and thought it was weird that they set up my appointment with Justin the original nail tech that did a poor job on my nails. It was uncomfortable because I complained about his and his girlfriend's Katelyn's service. I went with it though thinking Nail Works wanted to give Justin a chance to redeem himself. Come to find out the owner never told Justin he had to redo my nails so he was expecting payment. He ended up following me to my car, calling me a "broke black bitch" and harassing me on my phone! I had to call the police because Justin and his girlfriend shared that they both had criminal backgrounds, and Justin was a gang member, but originally I thought how wonderful that they're both changed for the better. I blame this mostly on the poor management of Hannah. She set us both up by not telling him he needed to redo my nails for free. Guess what my nails again are chipped after a day. The worst experience ever at Nail Works on Main St. I hope Justin has been fired, he's not qualified and I doubt they did a background check. Save yourself and go somewhere else! read more

The shaping of my fill was amazing both times. They double checked my length and went in depth to make sure all nails matched! The second photo is an acrylic fill with regular polish. It cost me 45$. Would have been less but having multiple colors added 15$ which was kinda steep to me. U also had to wait 30 minutes even though I got there right at my appointment time. I will be coming back tho!! I haven't had a professional manicure in a couple of years. Why? I'm lazy and I don't like how the polish doesn't stay on very long, and I really don't have a lot of extra time. I've been wanting to treat myself though so I decided to go get a manicure. I decided to get a gel manicure for the first time. Now I know I'm totally late to the gel manicure train, but woot woot, I'm all aboard now. I thought it would take a long time to get them done, but nope, it was under an hour. I love how my nails look and even a few days later, they look like I just got them done. Trinity, a young girl and the niece of the owner, was super sweet. Her English isn't great but she communicated as well as she could and kept trying to get me to relax saying that she was there to take care of me. Seriously, I really enjoyed this experience and I will continue to make the time to treat myself. I feel much more girly with my beautiful nails. read more
