I unfortunately did not read the reviews about this place before going and everyone here that said…read morethey felt scammed I totally understand you !!! I wanted to get one time tan , I though I would end up relaxing in a spa and would be "easy", I had to get a membership because I first got there and without any welcoming and " here it's our services" I received a tablet and a request to put all my info. After that I was manipulated into believing that , the membership wouldn't be too bad, after that I signed a contract , wasted 2 hours listening to crap about these products and why I would have to buy them! I was expecting to spend like maximum $100 to get tan( I really wanted to get tan that day) ! I ended up leaving with products that I wasn't sure about just because I was told I would need them, and spending $323 dollars !!!! After realizing how bad was my experience that literally lasted minutes .... Not even close in comparison with the time I wasted listening to the whole sell scam.I was convinced that it was a huge mistake putting my initials in that contract ! I tried to contact the owner and just literally give the products that were closed back , cancel my membership and just get my money back or at least more than half since I just literally went once, she did not accepted, I actually felt threatened because while as a consumer I was literally trying to return after hours buying and she said " I have the camera footage "and "basically you are lying this didn't happen" was when I understood that this is actually a scam and I end up with this lost and very frustrated!

Expect to get styled with Big Sexy Hair and other pharmacy-level styling product. And they won't even ask you first, so that's fun. I came to Banana Tree because a previous salon was using quick color on my hair and it had slowly gone black. (I'm naturally fair skinned and have dark brown hair). I got paired with Sandy, who immediately told me my hair was definitely too dark and should only be worn by "Asian people." I was a little shocked by the culturally insensitive comment, but she's older and swore she could help me. I just wanted a rich brunette, not black. First mistake. Cue two rounds of highlights. And, while they looked nice, the highlights themselves were turning quite gold verging on blond--way lighter than I wanted or asked for. So, on my third appointment, I shared that my hair was getting way too gold and that I wanted my hair to be a rich brunette (The initial ask, actually). Sandy reacted really poorly to this, telling me that no matter what she did there was always going to be gold in my hair. She even took me outside to test several options to my hair. But it wasn't in a kind way, it felt more to prove herself right and to embarrass me in front of the rest of the salon. Ultimately, she said my natural color was the one that I came in with. (I was a little whiplashed by this considering I remembered her very culturally insensitive remark). She gave me two option: 1. She could do my roots darker then blend the color to the rest of my hair. But, she emphasized, there was going to be gold which is what I didn't want. The other option was to dye all of my hair the darker color. Have you ever had someone give you two options but they're not really options at all? That's what happened here. I was so overwhelmed by everything she was telling me and embarrassed because she was making such a scene that I agreed to just get rid of the gold. I really wish I had walked away instead. But I stupidly didn't. Sandy then put me under the heater much longer than I've ever spent there in the previous times at the salon. The result? My hair is jet black. And somehow the areas where I had highlights seem even darker--I'm told because the pigment had been removed and repacked with darker color. It's awful. I've never not tipped someone before. But I was so totally overwhelmed that I called the salon to remove the 20% tip I still gave her. The owner asked what had happened and that's when I burst out into tears. She told me to try putting baking soda in my hair to get it out and offered to help fix what had happened and talk to Sandy. Well, I tried to the baking soda and nothing happened. Then, I got a text from the owner saying Sandy had given me options but I had chosen what had happened to my hair. Ultimately, I got mean girled and bullied by a stylist who left my hair in a worse state than when I came to this salon. And I came to them for help! Stay away. It lies about being organic, pushes their cheaply branded products on you and the stylists gaslight you instead of helping solve relatively easy requests. I literally left that salon thinking I was going to have to shave my head or just continue keeping my hair black. After all, Sandy had highlighted my hair like crazy (which has made it unhealthy). And, I'm currently at another salon praying that they can fix what she so cruelly did to my hair.

Then I finally get to spray and they have the oldest spray booths in the history of man. Literally the first edition verses spa and two out of the three do not spray foe the full pass. Two different beds and three tries later I finally got my full front sprayed and nothing on my back and was just tired of being here. I will make the drive to Cleveland or Gunbarrel road where they actually care to update their equipment when it messes up.

I applied a week before she did and told her I applied so then she applied as well, a couple of days ago to be exact. I called and spoke to the manager and she said they were staffed and would look at the application. They called my friend (a female) today about coming in for a interview. My friend has less availability than what I could work but still got a call. I call to speak with an area manager and they try to let me speak to the store manager and I advised my issue was with her and so I hung up!! She actually called my home number back!! Then proceeds to get nasty with me when I call her out about it. She says well your friend had the hours I needed (even though she had less availability than mysef during weedays ans same on weekends, and I was like I had the same hours plus more, but she left it at that and did not make any sense. Who calls back to pick a fight or antagonize the situation?? Apparently the managers do. Regardless I will be cancelling my yearly tanning membership and tanning elsewhere. I have been tanning at this location for a while and have NEVER seen a guy working there but the other locations I have!! . If you are a guy and have applied at this location and never received a call back or any feedbackplease reach out to me directly at matthewmiller0279@gmail.com I have contacted an employment attorney who is looking into discrimination allegations and would like your information as well.

As far as spray tanning goes, healthy glow is a GEM. I love…read moretheir products and my tan was really natural looking and lasted, I couldn't be more thrilled! The rooms are much more professional than other salons I've been to that offer spray tanning services and I was so pleasantly surprised. I love that they use the stick on shoes so you don't get that nasty bottom of the foot tan from left over residue - all products are professional, clean, and I was really satisfied with all the amenities. Prices are fair for services and products and they offer student discounts They use infinity sun sunless tanning products and it smells SO good! My tan didn't come off in chunks like usual -- great surprise. Stayed on for about a week, maybe longer before it even began to fade before it even began to come off! When it did, the tan Came off easily and Didn't dry out my skin The tone of the spray was great with my skin tone and I was really happy with the results - it looked really natural. Everyone has highly recommended Sophia and now I totally understand why- this is my new go to for sunless tanning in Chattanooga!
