Birmingham is always a…read morelittle slow to catch on with new services and techniques and I have been doing diligent research since about January. Kim was honestly the only website that I came across that seemed authentic and genuine (plus she was super transparent in everything, which I really valued and set her apart. No hoops or calls or emails to find out all the details and pricing or reviews or information). I could easily tell that this was something she cared deeply for and was putting all of herself into. Once we chatted, I knew that this was the person I could trust to do my brows-- the one thing I have complained about for the past two years. Being me, I came in with a ton of different questions about how everything was going to go down. Kim is kind, warm, and enthusiastic. She makes you feel immediately at ease. Once we got started, she let me check, change, and check again before we ever even got to the microblading process. We are both perfectionist and she took her time to make sure I knew exactly what they were going to look like (and let me tweak thing when I change my mind). The time passed in a flash and we had a great time throughout the process. Kim answered every question I had, let me look at alllll the tools and products (plus ask more questions), and just generally made me feel so comfortable and informed about every step of the process. I knew exactly what was happening during every second of the process. Most importantly, I came out of our time together being so excited about the work she did. I love my brows now and I am so impressed with how they turned out. I came in not really know what to expect but I was truly blown away by the results. Even after my touchup appointment, I got a little sad that I wont be coming back again for a little while. I'm thankful that I put off my decision for so long because it gave me time to find someone who is a champion for their clients and makes them feel heard and cared for throughout the entire process. Her passion and dedication for this artistry is apparent. Kim feels like an old friend the minute you meet her. If you've been trying to find a microblader who isnt just going to get you in and out, but rather gives such a comforting and customized experience-- Kim's your gal.

As a tip for visitors, the hours listed here may need to be updated. (You will want to call in advance for an appt--this is not a walk-in situation, currently.) I will also say, I had been severely over-threaded in my teenage years and had been growing my brows out (only getting them cleaned up) for almost 2 years to allow regrowth. I don't know that my story was heard fully during my visit or that the brow shape given to me with a high arch fits me. They look really good but I'm not currently in love with them. Nikki suggested finding someone near me to follow the shape as they grow back in.

So I was late back to work - not a huge deal because my schedule is flexible but adding thirty minutes to the end of my day wasn't appreciated. But okay. Shit happens. The pedicure was good. No pushing me for upgrades, no pressure. I appreciate that. The manicure - good god. He cut every single one of my fingers. Every. Single. One. And LAUGHED about it repeatedly. Literally was like "did it again!" I'm not sure why I even stayed, lol. I couldn't believe it. I finally pulled my hand away and looked at him and he laughed and said "last time I promise". Yeah. It was the last finger you had. Anyway the paint was so bumpy on my fingers. Now my cuticles are all scabbed. What a waste of time and money. I tipped because I felt bad and the pedicure was good, but I wish I hadn't. I won't be back and I don't recommend this place. Hopefully I don't get an infection.
