I've been here a few time and normally I get a full set and pedicure. My pedicure was great however, my full set was horrible. I asked for a round shape but that was not what I received. If I could give them a zero I would they did a horrible job not once but twice !!! So my first experience I was a walk in the man in the front did them and he did the worst job ever I have been getting my nails done for 25 years and my nails have never looked so bad!! I have short nails not a problem has never been a problem but for some reason the guy tries to tell me that the reason why my nail looks like it's lifting line it's going to to pop off my thumb looks like it's missing half the nail I'm so mad took them off after a week I should of went back and had them fix it but I'm not like that but this time I called and made a appointment and my luck I got the same guy so I gave him a chance well this time 100 times worst then the first time I'm a bartender so my hands need to look pretty and I have a huge wedding and now my nails look so ugly on top of it not even 2 hours my thump nail popped of like no way so I am going back in the morning and I am going to demand them to redo my nails all over and I am really pushing my time so I need to get ready early and have them redo my nails and then leave from there to work not my plan!!!! Steven is a great nail tech sadly he's no longer working at nail studio. They over book appointments and don't care about appointments all they care is about the money and they expect for you not to get upset. Once it's okay, but they do it all the time. On top of that they lied to me. They told me Steven did not want to continue seeing me because my nails took so long to do ( so unbelievable). Very unsanitary. They do not sanitize nor clean their tools. They immediately use them from one client to the next. Yuck! Unlike other nail salons where they will open new tools that were sanitized, this place just immediately use the same tool across all clients. Very bad work, nails uneven, gel polish uneven and with bubbles. Nail technicians were rude and looks at you in a bad way if you do not accept their recommendation for extra stuff. They have Cash Only which I find odd since most places takes credit cards/applepay. I do not recommend this place. Prices are different for everyone! My sister, niece and I had an appointment at 4pm, we didn't get out until almost 7. It would be I understandable if it was busy, but it wasn't. Walk-in people came and they would attend to them before they even came to us. They charged $50 for my 4 yr old niece, mani and pedi! How big can a 4 yr old nails be? Hers aren't even a centimeter long. The guy the did my nails did not do the best job. He asked for the picture of what I wanted and that was all. Left for about 10 minutes and the returned. He chose the size for me and always had to pull every single one of my fingers ever time. Not a single word was said after that. No manicure and not a job well don't. I was charged $55 for the black tip nails. My sister was charged $42 for the purple nails and $50 for her pedicure. How are hers $42 and mine $55 when we got the same treatment but she got gems too. They also said they couldn't do a butterfly on my sisters nails. How do they charge the person next to us $20 for her pedi, turn around and charge my sister $50. They did a better job on hers other then the fact that some were crooked. Since I only got a "mani", and they were done with my niece, almost with my sister, we asked the for the total. They said $55 for me and $50 for my niece and sister. We handled them money and then proceeded to add that we still owe them $42 for my sisters nails. I believe it was because we didn't want to leave a tip. We got poor customer service. What did they expect. read more

I have also never been a nail salon where all the staff spoke English amongst themselves, usually you are left wondering what they are laughing about in their language, not here, the customers were all treated like #1, awesome service, awesome nails for an affordable price! I used to really love coming here with my girls, however, the last few visits have been below par. I went a few more times recently and each time was the same unsatisfactory experience. I made an appointment three times ago with Kevin, and waited for 15minutes. The second to the last time, I made an appointment with Kevin and waited 30 minutes, then left. I went elsewhere. The last and final time I made an appointment with Kevin via text, he confirmed the time. When I arrived he sat me with someone else. When I advised that my appointment was with him he moved me over then had the poor girl he was working on move to another person to finish her nails. He then told me next time to make an appointment and I reminded him that I actually did. I initially told him I wanted a certain design and he proceeded to just paint my nails without the design. At that point I didn't care and just wanted to leave. They overbook, and are extremely rushed most of the time. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Made an appt for full set and pedicure on my lunch break. Once I arrived on time, Kevin sat me down to do the full set but then others arrived so he rushed and did a horrible job. I went back to get them fixed and he blamed the job on me and KICKED ME OUT !! I asked for oval shaped and they looked like claws. I wanted a LITTLE thick and he made them so chunky and crooked. They literally looked like they were coming off of my nails as you can see in photos. Once he finished my nails I waited still another 10-15 minutes to start on my toes. I was 25 minutes late to work already so I ran out of there once I was done. I went back the next day to get my nails fixed and to get them filed down. Kevin told me to "not be picky" about my nails that they are pretty. NO THEY WERE NOT. I asked if there was anyway he can fix them, Kept telling me over and over that this is my fault not his!! since I wanted them thick and now thinner. He got frustrated then He took off the polish saying he is going to take them off -me thinking he was fixing them -and then he dips them in acetone and clips them off!! He gives me my money back and tells me TO LEAVE, HE DOESNT WANT TO DO MY NAILS AND TO NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. He whispered this to me at first so I said excuse me? And says it again a little louder and throws me my money back. I waisted a full hour waiting for this guy to come fix my nails for him to just be rude and clip them off at the end. I went to Oceans blue after and got them fixed. They have never heard of anything like this happening either. This is the only place I will go to get my nails done as they always do an awesome job and it is such a relaxed atmosphere to be in. Kevin and Mimi are awesome as well as the rest of the staff who are nice as can be. Really convenient location and they are always accommodating whether I have an appointment or just walk in. Never had anything less than a great experience and I always get a ton of compliments on my nails. They will continue to be my go to place in Moorpark. I haven't been here in awhile but I'm so glad that I got a gel manicure and spa pedicure (now that I'm weeks away from giving birth and can no longer reach my feet)! Haha! Everyone here is so nice and they all do such great work. I don't know exactly what scrub they used on my feet and legs but it was heavenly! I showed the nice lady a nail design I found on Pinterest and they were able to copy it exactly (which I said I didn't care if it was exactly the same or not because I'm just not picky but it's perfect)! It was a great afternoon of much needed pampering. Let me start off by saying that this place has been here for a very long time and their main clientele are their regulars which due to the demographics are ladies over 45. Their techniques and skills fulfill their regular customers' needs. I walked in after a very long time and I wanted ombre nails with the white powder. They seated me rather quickly for being a walk in. They were busy but well staffed to meet demand and the owners make you feel very welcomed and often included in conversations they're having. The gentleman that helped me proceeded to give me a full set. I noticed he wasn't adding the white powder so I asked him if he was doing the ombré and he said yes yes. Through the course of the application I asked about 2 more times because I noticed he was finalizing the process and already shaping with only clear acrylic on the whole nail. I finally asked him to tell me what he planned on doing and he said that that he was going to paint it on and seemed annoyed I was questioning his skills.. kinda funny actually. I finally spoke up and told him that's not what I asked for, however not being sure if the ombré technique differs from city to city I made sure I was friendly. He then said he could air spray it on, at that point I just told him to do a gel single color. The owner quickly chimes in and said that if I wanted ombré I would get ombré, they sat me down with another lady who would start over. I insisted that it was ok and that I could wait till next time to get the ombré. However he persisted that I should be happy and that they would do what I asked for. They're attentive to their customers and on building relationships ... the downside is that if you want longer, blingy nails with more "in" styles you will have to be patient and it seems that is not something they do frequently read more

I've been here several times, and when I had an issue with one dip, they redid it a week later to fix it for free which was awesome! However, over a span of four months, I paid $26, then $28, then $34, for a gel manicure worth no extras. my friend and i went here to get our eyebrows done. we both had never been here and we will not be returning. this tiny back room in the salon contained a doorway to hell. all seemed well until i laid down and looked at the ceiling. to my horror there were HUNDREDS of disgusting flies roaming the ceiling, wall, and light fixture. I have given them several tries, since it is right by my house. But yesterday was the last time! I asked for a gel pedicure, and a gel manicure. They already charge $33 for their deluxe pedicure, which varies in quality from tech to tech. They then charge $17 EXTRA for gel polish on your toes!! I sadly did not see the price board ahead of time, but In my opinion, That is ridiculously overpriced! So a $50 pedicure should be amazing, but I got home and my heels were still rough, they did not smooth out the free edge from the gel on my toes, so they are ragged and rough. I decided to change my gel mani for a regular mani to give my nails a rest, because they remove gel with an electric file and a scraper, so your nails are damaged and paper thin by the time they are done. The regular mani I got was terrible! The polish was not applied smoothly or methodically, so one day later it's chipping and lumpy in spots. And if that wasn't enough, their whole system with payment is TERRIBLE!!!! If you are charging me $80 all said and done to have my nails done, PLEASE DO NOT CHARGE ME A 3.5% SERVICE FEE FOR USING MY CREDIT CARD, AND THEN TELL ME TO TIP IN CASH!!! THAT IS THE WORST BUSINESS PRACTICE EVER!!! That is the cost of doing business, and the Business needs to absorb those costs! The days of the $10 Mani Pedi are over, so act like a grown up business who charges grown up prices!! read more

I have long natural nails (they look like acrylics) and she takes perfect care of them with an acrylic and gel overlay to protect them from breaking! After trying another place in town and having not so friendly service and a not so great job done on my nails, I decided to try Nails Studio. The first time I went in I had Mimi do my fill. She was very pleasant and eager to do a good job and make sure I come back. The second time her husband Kevin did my fill and he is wonderful and did a great job as well. My daughter and I have been back for pedicures and I was very happy with the job that was done on them. Kenny gave me a super pedicure today. He was meticulous and I'm very happy. They're sterilizing their tools (so important) and the salon is clean and very cozy pedi chairs. Never going back here again. I got the lavender pedicure and gel manicure. I asked the lady to cut my nails shorter- not an odd request considering I was at a nail salon. She also didn't cut my cuticle at all. When she started the gel application- again I reminded her to cut shorter. She chose to file instead. 3 days later I had to cut my nails myself. It's been a week and my toe polish has chipped off completely and my nails are a train wreck. Gel usually lasts me 2 weeks- it's been less than 1 and I'm going to get my nails done somewhere else today. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like to waste money. read more
