It's hard to find a good nail place today that is reasonably priced and provides good service. I feel like they just think we have tons of money to pay for fake nails every 3weeks. Well I was very happy with my visit at Nail Studio. Kevin did a great job on my hands and Tom with my toes. They were fast, efficient and polite and provided great a result. They are usually pretty busy so the vide is that. This is the only place in Moorpark that doesn't OVER charge and where my nails don't start breaking after a week which is why I come back here. Kevin let me pay with my credit card which I appreciated. I just don't carry cash ‍ It says "cash only" however. I think it's a good service if they give you a choice. I left a tip on the credit card but sorry if it wasn't a lot, nails are just too expensive these days to ALSO be a big tipper! Eager to try this place considering the reviews- well, not a great experience. The greeting when we walked in was not friendly. Now, I'm not expecting a red carpet, but at least a little friendliness. Waited a bit to be sat down, even with an appt. I asked my nail tech, Tony, not to cut the sides of my big toes. I've struggled with ingrown nails and am really conscientious after having to have toe surgery. He completely disregarded what I said and clipped the sides of my big toes anyway when I wasn't paying attention! Unacceptable! Not only this, but he did my pedicure like he was auditioning for a nascar pit crew. It was the fastest and most rushed I've ever felt. I called on a Saturday afternoon and was told to come on in. I was welcomed when I walked in and given a chair right away. It was crowded but still had a relaxing vibe. There was 70s music videos playing on the big TV (at a nice low volume). Tammy did my deluxe pedi ($45) which included callus removal, hot stones, massage and regular polish. She wasn't overly chatty while I played on my phone and closed my eyes for a bit and relaxed. She was very friendly though and I liked her energy. My toes look amazing. She did such a great job. Went in today to get them done again and he rushed the entire time, cut the hell out of my skin around my nails and completely destroyed my nail beds. Like what the hell is that shape??? I left the nail salon very disappointed. I asked for acrylic nails with medium sized length and the result was short nails. I was better off just doing a gel Manicure. The length of the acrylic nail was the same as my own nail. The guy over filed and didn't do the length I wanted. After I told him it was short, he kept filing However, he did do a good job with the color. My pedicure was very good but pricey. I spent $95 on short acrylic nails and a deluxe pedicure. When a male employee began my bio-gel manicure for the manicurist I had requested, he nicked several of my nail beds with his drill, and as a result, my nail beds and the skin under my nail tips were raw, and became infected. Even though my manicurist was very careful and thorough, cleaning her equipment as she worked on my nails, the manicure that followed and the subsequent manicure 10 days later resulted in a staph infection in one nail and extremely raw, infected nail beds and skin around all my nails. I am strongly concerned that this business does not use effective disinfection methods on all of their nail equipment that they use on a stream of clients getting manicures. read more

I tried. I went twice and had a poor experience both times. The first time was a color change. I waited twice as long as asked for my nails to dry. The tech even checked to see if they were dry. As soon as I got in my car, they polish started to wave and slide off. I went back to give them another chance. I had a gel mani, and a regular pedi. Went in for an appointment at 11. I have a new baby so it is not very often I can leave to get my nails done. Got there at 11, was sat at a station and told to pick a color. I was moved three more times to different stations and waited over 30 minutes to get anyone to start my nails even though I had an appointment. The owner, I presume he was because he was the one answering all calls and taking all payment was very nice. However, my nails turned out terribly. One of them seems as if I was filed half off and the acrylic is so thick. I didn't even want to complain about them because I had already been there so long I honestly just wanted to leave. I was asked to wash my hands once he was done and I come back to my purse being moved and put on the table once you walk in, and someone new was already in my chair. The whole staff is wonderful and they all are very good at what they do. IF I chip a nail (RARELY HAPPENS) or I mess up my toes getting in the car, they fix it no problem! Steven is a great nail tech sadly he's no longer working at nail studio. They over book appointments and don't care about appointments all they care is about the money and they expect for you not to get upset. Once it's okay, but they do it all the time.
