I love that the staff are always available. I am not sure why I can have this place to myself sometimes. I prefer a relaxing pedicure experience and that's what you get, it's quiet and comfortable. read more

The people here are very friendly and do a decent job. The problem is that their hours say they open at 9am and I've made appointments at 9:30am a few times only to be waiting until they show up around 10am. This is ridiculous and completely unacceptable. It's thrown off my schedule once too often. Not going back! read more

Where do I start? The customer service is ALWAYS 10/10. The care and detail to service is unmatched. So many places now just rush through service, but not here. I've been coming here for a year and have never had a bad experience. I've brought my son and daughter and both absolutely love it here as well. The prices are so fair as well. Tina is my personal favorite but you can't go wrong with anyone here. I had my nails done here for my wedding and Justin even sent me with the bottle in case any damage happened during my travels. I didn't even ask, how thoughtful! Feels like family here. I would and definitely do recommend to all my friends. JUSTIN, you do amazing! read more

I walked in based on the reviews, for a manicure. Woman was aggressive with removing cuticles and removed too much skin. I have 5 red marks on different fingers because of her, and some of them hurt. She used an old towel and turned it over. I didn't see any evidence they sterilize their tools. No cosmetology licenses were posted where they were visible. When I asked for a certain color, she said they didn't have that one and tried to convince me to use an old gloppy product. I don't think this woman should be doing nails! read more

This is officially my new favorite nail salon! They took their time, listened to exactly what I wanted, and they were amazing. My nails look beautiful and have lasted so well. read more

VIP Nail Spa - so pretty - Nail Salons Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

This is my first time trying VIP Nail Salon. Justin was very welcoming, and accommodating. In a world full of chaos, Justin and his family make sure that they deliver the best service. They took care of me, my daughter and my mom, stayed late, and perfected every design we requested. We may have many great nail salons in Newbury Park, but I believe we lack hospitality, Justin and his family make sure that you are comfortable and get everything you requested. It's definitely going to be my go to spot. Give it a shot you will not regret it read more

Used to like them. Loved the renovation. Then last time right before vacation I got a full set done and they were terrible. She burnt every finger because there was gel spilling. Gel was left under my nails in huge globs. The edge was unfinished. When looking up close it looked like my 10 year old had done them. Unacceptable. Plus she left my natural nail too long and you could see it under the nail. And on day 3 of vacation they all started popping off because water got underneath. I called and sent pictures. I asked for a free set when I got back and he ignored me. Not ok. Not going back.w read more

I absolutely love VIP Nails in Newbury Park. The salon is always friendly, clean, and caring, and you can feel that it's truly family‑owned the moment you walk in. It never feels like an appointment -- it feels like visiting family. I've been getting my nails done for over 30 years, and VIP Nails is by far my favorite salon of all time. Justin goes above and beyond for his customers, every single visit. The entire team is warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure you leave happy. If you want a place that's consistent, welcoming, and takes real pride in their work, VIP Nails is the one. I can't recommend them enough. read more

MY FAVORITE NAIL PLACE!!! I cannot get over how good my nails look every time I leave. One of the few solans I've seen in a long time that care DEEPLY about the quality of the services they provide. Both of my last sets I received lasted me well over a month and the acrylic is just as sturdy as the day they applied it. Shout out to Justin for my amazing set! read more

I arrived as a walk-in for my first visit at VIP Nail Spa and there's a touch screen for checking in that includes entering your phone number. I was looking to get a gel manicure done while on my lunch break in Newbury Park so this place was closeby and was pretty busy at the time I went in. The nail tech Tina did my nails and she did a great job on cleaning up my cuticles and making my gel nails last a solid 2 weeks. Usually when I get a gel manicure done, it only lasts a week but having them done here showed it lasted much longer. I liked that she painted the glitter over the purple for my ring finger because it came out nicely as a purple set instead of just a clear glitter only on the ring finger. There's a cash discount if you pay only in cash so be prepared with that. I recently got a text reminder that it's been 2 weeks since my last nail appt, which was a friendly reminder and it really did last the whole 2 weeks. Thanks again, VIP Nail Spa and Tina! :) read more

I have been going to VIP nails for many years now, since it's close to my work. However, it's the wonderful staff and beautiful work they do on my nails every time which keeps me coming back. They provide appointments and walk-ins, and are always as accommodating as possible. Cards are accepted, but cash payments get you discounts. Plus there's a cash appreciation card where five stamps gets you $5 off your next visit. Justin and his crew are always a pleasure to speak with and the remodeling they've done to the salon is gorgeous. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone looking for quality nails and friendly service. read more

I used to go to VIP Nails all the time and I loved it! It's been awhile since my last visit but I went in for a pedicure a few days ago. I got a basic pedi with a sugar scrub and I thought it was great. But, once I went out into the sunshine, I could see that she did a terrible job painting my toe nails. Not only did it look like she should have done another coat (because it didn't cover well) but the polish was all over the nail beds and even on the skin of my toes. I don't know if I'll go back. read more

VIP Nails can be found in a busy shopping center next to many businesses including restaurants and a few banks. So, I am here to let you know that YOU need to come to this nail salon to get your nails done by Kelly! I have followed her since she moved over to this location. The place is spacious, clean and quiet. I am always greeted by everyone and I am attended quickly appointment or not. Kelly does such a wonderful job and can do almost every design I have asked her too. She knows what she is doing and pays close attention to your nails. Update: December 15 2023 Kelly still doing beautiful nails!! Got all red with a white bow. read more

I very rarely leave reviews but the last time I went here the new person they have used the nail drill and made my nails so thin that they hurt. I mentioned it and she told me "they must be sensitive" but it's been over two weeks and it has become a pretty big issue. My nails are paper thin and keep splitting and tearing because of how thin she made them and they still hurt. I can't even get my nails done again until these fully grow out and you can see a visible dip in my nail where the new nail is growing in. I really used to like it here but this is something people need to be made aware of... and they need to do a better job of training their new staff so that no one else has to experience this. :/ read more

the new renos and chairs are great, I went with 2 other family members who were pretty happy. I would just beware the granny still doing nails who should probably be retired....she took forever on my nails, had to do quite a bit of correction, and it just didn't look good afterwards, nail cut shape and lack of precision. I think all is good with the other technicians tho. read more

I can't recommend VIP Nails in Newbury Park enough--especially Justin, the owner and my go-to nail technician! He's incredibly skilled, professional, and always makes sure my nails look flawless every time. The salon just went through a remodel and it looks absolutely stunning--modern, clean, and super relaxing. It's clear that Justin puts so much care into both his work and the overall atmosphere. We LOVE the new VIP Nail Spa. My nails have never looked so good or been healthier. There are a wide range of nail services such as mani/pedi, acrylic, dip, biogel, and more. The prices may have increased (like everything else these days), but they are well worth it. My child insisted that I also mention the kid's mani/pedi is painless. read more

I had high expectations for this salon based on the reviews. Unfortunately my experience wasn't so great. I hadn't realized the color I chose for my gel x set was very transparent and the nail tech hadn't said anything. When using the electric file on my nails, she ended up cutting all my fingers... hadn't noticed how bad it was until I got home. Every finger was bleeding, not horribly but shouldn't happen at all. My skin also got glued to every nail and there's excess glue build up underneath each nail which is uncomfortable. And every nail is missing polish on the sides since she didn't cover the whole nail in polish and also filed my nails after applying the color and top coat. I did speak up about the color missing on the sides because it really just looked awful. Thankfully another nail tech came over and attempted to fix it. I did ask him if the color was too transparent which could be part of the problem but he said no and that it was fine. After examining my nails in the car once we had left, I did see that there was an obvious lack of paint all around my nail. I should also mention they did give a $5 discount but overall these nails are not worth $65... they look very cheap and rushed. I also completely understand that they may have been trying to get home quicker but than shouldn't have scheduled the appointment. I don't think we will be returning after this experience and hopefully this gives others some insight on what to expect during your visit. UPDATE: It's now been over 24 hours since my nail appointment and my fingers are still bleeding! They've also been consistently painful after leaving the salon. I'm praying it doesn't get infected!!! I highly recommend proceeding with caution during an appointment here. read more
