Absolutely wonderful experience with Brandy and Gabby! I called in on a Saturday morning and was able to book Gel Mani/Pedi appointments for me and my daughter midday. I really want to love this place. It's so still so cute inside! I haven't been here since the original owners sold. I think it is on its 2-3 ownership. 1. If you are getting a mani/pedi at the same time, the seating is still not the most comfortable 2. Lighting is really bad! Needless to say even my light pink polish doesn't look its best. Mani tech was working with no light above her to polish properly. For the pedi tech it was even worse! An Easy upgrade to make it a better work setting- you guys need task lighting asap! 3. Girls were nice, and not chatty..which I appreciate 4. Music was on point, mellow! 5. I just had my nails, toes, and eyebrows done here and every single person I interacted with was amazing and did such a great job. My toes and brows look amazing, and my nails look the BEST they have ever looked. I got the Apres nails with the French manicure upgrade, and they are so classy and feel so natural on my real nails. I've gotten a couple of facials by Keila and I'll continue making the trip to Newbury Park for her amazing treatments. She's incredibly knowledgeable about different skin concerns and does an amazing job at customizing each facial to suit your unique needs. Came here and needed a pedi. The staff was incredibly nice and easy to talk to. I can't say I'm happy with my pedicure though. It took way too long and upon further inspection it looks AWFUL close up. I'm mean really awful. Close to 60 dollars for this pedicure is pretty outrageous. I won't go back. Usually when I get my toes done there's three layers of polish - base, polish and top coat. Here's there is only two and it already looks like it's peeling off after one hour. I was surprised that an upscale nail salon opened up in this area. When you walk in, the interior of the place is absolutely stunning and so clean. The ladies at the front are extremely sweet and accommodate to your needs. They offer you coffee, tea, water, or even champagne! They DO NOT have acrylics but rather use hard gel (which I don't really see a big difference between the two, but whatever). I got a hard gel set with rhinestones. Whitney was fantastic and we had a really great conversation too! The total for everything came out to about $80. The place IS pricey for a manicure, but I promise the money is worth the experience and quality of work. However, the service is inferior to most of the no-frills Vietnamese-owned nail salons in town. The salon is understaffed and the lights were barely on for my 10 a.m. appointment. Payment: Credit cards are not accepted, you must transfer money via Venmo to the owner's personal account, which doesn't seem totally on the up-and-up. I really wanted to like this place. It's unfortunate that this didn't quite live up to my expectations. I recently moved to Moorpark and thought I'd see if I can find a nail salon that's closer to me that provides the same quality of service as my go-to salons in the San Fernando Valley. So, I first tried requesting an appointment through Yelp after their business was the first to pop up and had good reviews. I received a message back very quickly about my inquiry. In fact, the communication overall was very good! They were able to take me in that same day for a 4:00 appointment. Unfortunately, my car wouldn't start and they were not able to take me that day anymore. I ended up scheduling for the next day a different service than originally intended because the so-called "dip powder" girl went out of town that day, or the day before and was told she wouldn't be back until the following Tuesday (I tried scheduling on a Wednesday the week before). I was a bit hesitant on trying something new, but I thought let's do it since my nails were becoming a mess. I ended up getting structured gel overlay with gel on top of my natural nails and a gel pedicure. The pedicure wasn't too bad. But I've received a better gel pedicure near where I used to live (San Fernando Valley) for $35, way cheaper than Polish'd. My manicure though was not very good. The nail tech didn't even ask about how I would like my nail length AND shape. I can understand forgetting to ask about one, but BOTH? Not cool. I guess she just assumed I wanted them the same length as when I came in, which I didn't. Also, how could she not see that my middle finger nail on my right hand was way shorter than my other ones? That nail slightly broke due to me moving a bunch of boxes, etc. last week from the move, so it was obviously way shorter than the rest of my nails. Now, the nails on my entire right hand look uneven (see photos). The left hand isn't too bad. My nails are just very long (I usually want them a bit shorter, since I use my hands a lot and train martial arts). I've also seen better polish application at my other nail salon that I would usually go to. Here, I paid a total of $85, plus tip for the service. I feel that the price I paid was not really worth what I received. I received way better at my other salons in the valley and they were also a lot cheaper, so driving 30+ miles to get my nails done every few weeks seems more worth it now. I also wanted to mention that the nail tech I had, Maria, had a bit of an attitude. I thought maybe it was an off day, so I pretty much ignored it and tried to be courteous. Also, there was not one other customer in the salon when I walked in to when I walked out. And even then there weren't any customers. I thought that was a bit odd in the middle of the afternoon. Also, please let customers know when they walk in/prior to service, of the payment methods you're accepting at the moment. I was told AFTER my service only Venmo and cash are accepted. So, it was a bit upsetting I couldn't use the card I planned on using and had to use Venmo (which I don't use very often). Thank you, Polish'd, for trying and accommodating me. Something I was happy with was the color. It was my first time trying a white color. I just wish I loved my nails overall and not just the color. Communication was decent, but actual service (except for the gel pedi) wasn't great. I'm afraid I will not be returning. If anything, I would like to have my manicure removed and I will go to my other nail salon in the valley for a new set I'll be completely satisfied and happy with. read more
