I thought I would take the opportunity to get a pedicure while I was there. I walked in & asked if they had time for a pedicure, the employee looked me up and down before telling me they wouldn't have anyone available until 4pm I understand if you're booked & if the sign had said appointments only, I wouldn't have went in. What bothered me was the way I was looked over & the dismissive way I was spoken to. It felt rude & made me feel unwelcome. I normally look very put together, but it was Sunday morning and I was running around trying to get things done. I'm not quite sure what the hype is of this place. I had an appointment for a Russian pedicure that was set for an hour. I have in the past had Russian pedicures and they really do magic on your feet. Well this place, not so much. I went in with high hopes and not great at all. First and foremost arrived, was offered water, still waiting for it. Their recliners are dirty, squeaky and uncomfortable. All that made this pedicure "Russian" was that my feet were drilled dry. That's it. Kristina cut my nails, didn't remove any ingrown or cuticles and was polishing my toes by minute 25. If you take a peek on their website, the service is for an hour. I left with crooked toes and not much done at all aside from dry drilling on my heels, cutting and polish. For $100 this was insanity. read more

I soooo wanted to love this place. I had been looking for a Russian pedicure salon for a long time. When I finally found this place I was so excited to book my appointment. When the nail technician started working on my pedicure I was very curious on her technique. After 35 minutes she states she was done. I was shocked because I was told when I booked the appointment that the service would take an hour. The nail technician didn't clean under my nails, didn't clip the slides of my nails, no massage, and tried to file my nails even after she had applied the polish. I was disappointed. I arrive for my appointment and the nail tech tried to upsell me to an upgraded service. She was practically bullying me saying that I needed it. I refused multiple times and she just didn't stop. I was so uncomfortable I nearly walked out except for then I would have been charged as a no show. So finally the nail tech stops the bullying sales tactics and begins to pout. She refused to look at me or talk to me during the entire service. She did a very mediocre job.And did not use cuticle oil at the end. I will never go back to this place again. This was my fourth or fifth time there and the first time I had such a bad experience. But I will never go back after this. Theres plenty of other nail places in town. Honestly do not bother coming here. i am so sad as i am posting this, but i gave it 2 shots before judging . I Went first time and got the best Russian manicure, i was so happy and amazed, Made my expectations high , second time it was bad by all standards, nails were bleeding and didn't last for even a week , stayed for over 2 hours for very poor service, got infection. i reached out to the manager on instagram, showed all the proofs. and all i got is apology, not anything else to make it up . I was NOT so mad honestly, i thought it was one time mistake , the master maybe new or whatever . i will just book with someone else next time! Here it Comes the next time , i do them x gel for 135$ and they did not last 4 days ! I reached out and i came me back for a fix, and the fix didn't last a week i wear! Idk whats wrong they don't apply enough and they dont let it dry enough. The vibe is silent not too friendly, which is fine cuz i dont like to do chats. quality is 0 . I feel a bit confused about my experience here. It was my first Russian manicure, and while Tanya was very precise and had great attention to detail (as many of of the reviews here have said) and the polish itself looks great, I had SO many nicks and cuts along my cuticles. Nearly every finger had at least a small nick which stung and I had to apply some liquid bandage to them for 2-3 days. Is this normal?? On just the left hand, you can see the cuts were bad on the side of the index finger and bottom of the ring finger. But there's actually another one on the side of the ring finger as well as a minor one at the bottom of the middle. On the right, you can clearly see the cut on the index finger and I had already applied some liquid bandage to the thumb Anyway, while I appreciate the preciseness and attention to detail and staff was nice, I am honestly scared to go back. read more

Update 03Oct: I've been going to LSNails for over a year now and yes they are expensive... But... 1) these nails will last 3 to 4 weeks... Before coming here I never had a mani last 2 weeks... The gel would peel, pop off like a fake nail and my cuticles were a mess! 2) They do amazing designs! 3) if you do a single color nail design and it lasts 3 to r weeks it's really the same cost of a regular mani. 4) they do NOT soak your nails in water or acetone. My nails are thin and brittle and used to break as soon as they grew out just a little bit. No more, my nails are long and healthy and my cuticles look fabulous. read more

They are the best! They take their time working on your nails and you never feel like they are rushing through. They explain everything that they are doing and are incredible at nail art! I went to a lot of nail salons around Ventura county to try to find my favorite one and LS nails is it! I had a set of acrylics when i came in for the first time and they removed them and it was the most comfortable acrylic removal i ever had. My nails naturally curve down and they fixed that. I was visiting family in Thousand Oaks, CA, and scheduled a mani/pedi appointment. Upon arriving, it was communicated that in addition to the gel manicure fee, a $10 fee would be added to remove my polish/gel, plus a $10 fee for a nail extension, and an additional $30 " same-time fee" if I chose to have a manicure with a pedicure. I decided to only have a manicure and I'm quite disappointed to share that in less than a week my nails chipped and in 11 days, both thumbs completely lost their entire polish as seen in the attached photo. I was hoping that the manicure would be worth the cost and it would last the four weeks I had read about. Save your money... it is not worth the hype! My nail artist moved and I've been going to mediocre salons with $65 - $70 price ranges and these technicians were not artists and could not add designs of any kind. Russian manicurists are trained in specialized care and really use a gentle touch when shaping nails and spending ample time on cuticle care. I bite my cuticles for years and it's a habit I'm trying to break. Lili helped me see how important it is to maintain healthy nail beds. Truly the best manicure I have ever had in my life. Here is the thing, I am very picky and generally have difficulty speaking up when I am getting my nails done. So, I leave the nail salon unhappy and lived with it until it's time to go back. Keep in mind - I am type A and notice every tiny detail. Both times I have gotten my nails done here, it has been the best experience. My nails have come out perfect by both techs. I am not proud to admit this, but my last set lasted 5-6 weeks without lifting or chipping!!!!! (I had covid lol). The people who have left negative reviews complain about time/money. 1 week out. The pain is so bad. I went in for a mani/pedi and paid $210 + $40 tip. I was sore but didn't think it was this bad. It was very red and by the second day got worse and was bleeding. Day 3 I went to urgent care and they said the nail tech went in so deep you can see deep layers of tissue. I'm worried my nail will fall off and possible permanent damage. The mani looks really good and she did a great job but I'm definitely dissatisfied and disappointed that I paid so much and ended up with this and antibiotics. EDIT: The owner reached out and was very professional and sympathetic. She gave me a full refund. It may have just been an off day or a new tech.
