I arrive for my appointment and the nail tech tried to upsell me to an upgraded service. She was practically bullying me saying that I needed it. I refused multiple times and she just didn't stop. I was so uncomfortable I nearly walked out except for then I would have been charged as a no show. So finally the nail tech stops the bullying sales tactics and begins to pout. She refused to look at me or talk to me during the entire service. She did a very mediocre job.And did not use cuticle oil at the end. I will never go back to this place again. I feel a bit confused about my experience here. It was my first Russian manicure, and while Tanya was very precise and had great attention to detail (as many of of the reviews here have said) and the polish itself looks great, I had SO many nicks and cuts along my cuticles. Nearly every finger had at least a small nick which stung and I had to apply some liquid bandage to them for 2-3 days. Is this normal?? On just the left hand, you can see the cuts were bad on the side of the index finger and bottom of the ring finger. But there's actually another one on the side of the ring finger as well as a minor one at the bottom of the middle. I was visiting family in Thousand Oaks, CA, and scheduled a mani/pedi appointment. Upon arriving, it was communicated that in addition to the gel manicure fee, a $10 fee would be added to remove my polish/gel, plus a $10 fee for a nail extension, and an additional $30 " same-time fee" if I chose to have a manicure with a pedicure. I decided to only have a manicure and I'm quite disappointed to share that in less than a week my nails chipped and in 11 days, both thumbs completely lost their entire polish as seen in the attached photo. I was hoping that the manicure would be worth the cost and it would last the four weeks I had read about. Save your money... it is not worth the hype! The gel would peel, pop off like a fake nail and my cuticles were a mess! 2) They do amazing designs! 3) if you do a single color nail design and it lasts 3 to r weeks it's really the same cost of a regular mani. 4) they do NOT soak your nails in water or acetone. 1 week out. The pain is so bad. I went in for a mani/pedi and paid $210 + $40 tip. I was sore but didn't think it was this bad. It was very red and by the second day got worse and was bleeding. Day 3 I went to urgent care and they said the nail tech went in so deep you can see deep layers of tissue. I'm worried my nail will fall off and possible permanent damage.
