I really wanted to like this place and was hoping it could be my new go-to, but I'm honestly really disappointed. I asked for a regular gel manicure, but the technician used a structured gel base and told their receptionist it was a Bio gel and wanted to charge extra for it (she never asked me if I wanted to upgrade my service), even though the products she used were not Bio Sculpture. They claimed it was a "misunderstanding". The technician also tried to use a different color than the one I picked. The manicure itself was really messy. There was gel all over my cuticles and skin, cuticles were not trimmed properly and the application was uneven and just not what I expected from a professional manicure. I have been getting bio gel and gel x manicures for many years. For the past 6 months I learned to do it myself at home to save money and have enjoyed it. I am going on a trip tomorrow and decided I wanted to pay to get them professionally done for the occasion to treat myself. This was a very good reminder of why I do them myself now... The nail tech was nice and worked quickly... too quickly. They didn't trim my cuticles or the skin around my nails. I asked for an ombré nail design, which is shown on their menu and provided a picture of the exact colors I wanted. Another nail tech came and took my phone to pick colors out and just started painting them on some of my nails before the original tech had even put gel on them. It was very odd... the second tech was rushing the first and was honestly doing a sloppy job. The color ended up being super off.. it was a Christmas tree green instead of a blue- teal color. I don't blame her for that, the bottle looked like a different color than the paint. They were also streaky and completely see-through. She asked if I liked them and I told her those things, and she told me the reference picture was see through too (which it was not-I added the reference) but she still redid them which I appreciated. I picked the new color myself, which matched the reference pic more and also wasn't see-through which was way better. The airbrush was having issues, which I could tell was super frustrating to them which sucks. But they just seemed to not really know how to do it very well. They finished and rushed me out quickly without cleaning any of the gel of my skin. With airbrush they usually wipe the paint off the skin before curing it so this doesn't happen. Now it's been a real pain to try to get off. They also did not clean up the sides of my nails, which were all jagged. I had to do a full nail clean up when I got home. Thankfully I have all the stuff at home to do that. The only reason for 3-stars is that the gel x nails are properly applied and should last. Overall I was not impressed. As a new client who is paying good money (and extra for a nail design) I expect some level of care. Also now knowing how to do a proper gel manicure, it's so obvious when they cut corners and rush (no nail/cuticle prep or clean up, only one layer of paint). And maybe don't offer a service (ombré) if you aren't confident in it or don't have properly working equipment. I wanted to do something nice for myself but ended up having more of a headache in the end, and had to pay my hard earned money for that headache. read more

While the work they do here is really good and my nails always looked great and lasted, I did contract toe nail fungus on my feet. I've never had toenail fungus before and it's a terrible thing to get rid of and causes your nails to turn brown and peel and split. I've had to visit the doctor and pay for fairly expensive treatment and my toe nails are just starting to return to normal. The doctor tells me it will take 6 months or so for them to completely grow out and the scars and discoloration to grow out with the nail. I'm so disappointed and not happy I've got months of recovering my toenails and doctor bills, and prescriptions. I can't recommend this place because of this. If not for the fungus I'd say go here, but no. read more

It's bright and new, with soft classical music playing. Everything is new and clean. There are 10 White comfie massage chairs. I'll be a repeat customer. So I've been coming here since march and it's an ok place. They are decently priced considering the area and the fact that I'm a Pepperdine student. What I CANT STAND is the fact that they will charge you for bs. These were my nails that they tried charging me and extra $5 for being "too long". I'm no nail expert but come on you're trying to take advantage of me since I'm a college kid, shame on you. Granted after arguing they took the $5 off but cmon you've got to be kidding me. Also ignore the uneven length that's my doing because I was not about to pay $5 per new nail. They also charged me $5 for peeled off polish and I'm doing BIO GEL. She said that it was because 3 of them are off so she was being nice. I get that if it was gelx and your putting a new nail on, however, the bio gel procedure is the same REGARDLESS as to whether or not a nail is peeled. They still shave off the base to all and and after add it back on. So the idea of charging me for something you were already going to do is again insane. Biggest mistake of coming here for my pedicure. The nail tech cut me so bad, I was bleeding right away and throughout the entire time I was there. She kind of pretended like nothing happened. At the end, she applied some Chinese oil in a green bottle that smelled like tiger balm. I don't know how she thought that would help. She apologized. I still paid and tipped her. I asked her if the tools used were professionally cleaned and disinfected, she said yes of course, I sprayed alcohol on it. Omg i don't know if I should get mad or laugh at this point. She sprayed alcohol on what?? The tools or my feet? After coming home, my toe was in pain and swelled up for days. I was in pain putting my foot in my shoes. I called the next day and spoke to a lady who claimed she was the manager, she asked that I return to the nail shop so they can put some "medicine on it" which was a complete joke to me. I asked to speak to the owner, at first the lady claimed she was but I didn't believe her. She offered to have the owner give me a call. I eventually talked to the "owner" and he was more concerned about the possibility of being sued. He kept telling me how he appreciated the fact that I let him know about the situation. I was 7 months pregnant, my concerns of getting an infection worried me the most. Wanted to share this experience so other people are aware. They did refund the cost of the pedi but the $45 is nothing compared to the worry and pain. read more

I made an appointment for bio gel, however my nails were too short so gelx was suggested. I'm not a fan of long nails and I wanted to keep a more natural look and almond shape. My nail tech, Jack worked on my nails, and they were too long, so I kept asking for him to go shorter because I really wanted them to be natural. However, he mentioned that if I were to go any shorter that the nail design or the nail just wouldn't look right. So I went against my better judgment and kept them at a little longer than I would normally like. I also chose this nail salon because on their website, they look like they did really nice nail art, and I had a really nice detailed nail art design in mind. However, when I got to the lady that was going to do my nail design she started saying that it was too detailed, and it would take too long, so I felt rushed and choosing something that I really did not want. Additionally, the cost was $85, the nails are lifting and I just had my appointment this past Sunday. I won't be going back and don't recommend them. read more
