I've been here about 5 times and 4/5 I've left with bloody cuticles. All different nail techs but all have the same aggressive technique. I don't understand why they would train their staff this way but filing the cuticle with the machine although faster is just damaging peoples hands. Last time I went I asked her to not use the machine, she was visibly annoyed and cut me anyway. I gave this place plenty of chances but every time I leave with a rushed job and unhappy. I can't help but wonder if I don't get the same treatment because I'm not Armenian. Almost all the staff is Armenian and majority of clientele as well.. those clients seemed happy so not sure. Overall 1.5 stars. Highly disappointed with my choice of coming here as part of my vacation/bday/relaxation plans. Not worth the money I spent at all. Although this place has a verified license via Yelp, my experience was far from the "professional" experience I had expected. Had it not been for the fact that they tried to do a manicure and pedicure at the same time, I definitely would have given a 1 star. For a detailed breakdown of why I would recommend you go elsewhere, see below. Let's start with the manicure (0 stars if possible). I can tell this person did not know what they were doing. My cuticles were pushed back BEFORE it was softened in water. OUCH! After they were pushed back, there was a lot of grinding and cutting of the cuticles. When the tech was done, she finally had me soak it in water as she worked on the other hand. WAIT WHAT?! Yep, you heard me right, she soaked my hand after pushing and trimming my cuticles. After the other hand was done, she came back to do more cuticle trimming. At the end, she ensured my nails were dried with alcohol and that was when I noticed this immense sting on one of my fingers. You guessed it correct folks, skin was cut too deep. Now onto the shaping, it was so inconsistent between the fingers. Sure I was asked if the initial shape was good, but by the time she was fully done, you can easily see how uneven the trim length is between fingers and how uneven it is when I'm just looking at each individual finger. I do a better job at home by myself and I have no license or training. As for the polish apply, I opted for gel as I have a tendency to chip my nail much easier with regular polish. The application was quite sloppy. Although they dipped a small brush in acetone, I found parts of the nail where the polish was applied to the edges between my finger and nail, causing this odd look where now I can't fix it without potentially causing that gel to be prone to cracks. After this was all done, my hands were drowned in cuticle oil. Yes I mean drowned. My hands and fingers were slaughtered in the oil and I was told the service was done. So of course, I went to go wash my hands. I am not touching anything else with these oily hands. To top off this experience, my right arm was always crossed over to the left side, it was quite uncomfortable to keep in that position for practically an hour. I really wish the technician just moved between the left and right side instead. Pedicure with masks (2 stars). The pedicure begins with someone who I felt knew what they were doing-ish. I enjoyed the mask and wrapping my legs and all that. But when it came down to the massage. That's when it went downhill. My feet and legs were rubbed. 0 effort or strength was put it. I'm really not tryna be mean here BUT it's the same effort as if she were washing my feet and legs so. It's definitely a rub. The cuticle trimming was ok but the callus removal was painful. I found some red spots on my skin after the session where it was about to bleed. Hard to capture via photo as they were so small. But at times, I had the instinctive need to pull back my foot due to the pain of the harsh scrubbing. Unfortunately, I can not tell you about how well the nail polish was applied. So here's another reason why I think y'all should avoid this place. As my NON-GEL toenails were drying while the nail technician finished up. My nail technician removed the toe dividers as I pointed out I was unable to leave. She then drenched my toes in cuticle oil and rubbed the toenails. So of course, the regular nail polish just rubbed off. As she realized the disaster she made, she grabs my original toe technician for a fix. Unfortunately, as she was with a customer, she just tried to add more polish to the toes. As you can imagine, it took forever to dry and slowly slid off to the sides of my toenails. Literally 5 hours later, the polish was still tacky. Some of my toes barely have the appropriate amount of polish, while others just feel rough due to the botched job. I would have expected for a full polish removal and redo but no one cared to do so. Overall, a terrible experience and not worth the money. Please go elsewhere!!! read more

My experience over all was just alright. I work in a profession where I am on my feet all day. Getting a pedicure is the highlight of my work week. I decided to try this nail salon because I am in the area. It had amazing reviews when I first looked but I noticed most of the photos were for manicures. Customer service wise- 3 stars. The girls were super nice and welcoming. But a lot of them seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. My service itself was 1 star. I paid for a deluxe pedicure. I'm coming back after many months and updating my review because my last experience was horrible and would not want anyone to go through that. I'm realizing that now cause I go to another salon that does gel x and does it properly and actually HOLDS, does not chip, and looks good on my nails. I'm probably making it a bigger deal than it is, but it's a reminder I can't stop thinking of the time that even after how much I paid, my nails kept coming off big bummer cause it happened on my 2.5 weeks trip that I had limited access to nail salons or any resources to help. Also, I noticed after the fact that the nail shape does not fit my nails at all? The lady didn't even ask if the length was good or not, and that's why I settled for ridiculously long nails. This is a basic question every nail tech should ask. And she didn't shave down the sides as much as she should have. Got a normal mani pedi with polish on my toes and buff on the hands. The woman who did my hands did not ask about length or listen when I asked to go shorter - when she buffed my nailed she rubbed the skin on my fingers raw as well so my fingers were shredded afterwards but of course did not show until a few hours later when the oil wore off ( and it hurt ) Pedicure was average - cleanup was nice but there was no puma stone / callous removal , just the toe paint and the coats weren't very consistent but you couldn't tell from standing point of view so I was still able to wear my sandals to my event read more

I normally like coming to this place because they're quick and do a significantly good job, but most of the time I leave with my fingers cut and bleeding. They file your skin more than the actual nail! I even got a cuticle infection from them one time and had to go to urgent care to help it. I did love coming here because they do rubber base gel but I'm just going to have to find a new location because I shouldn't be leaving in pain :/ also reading all the bad reviews, as a business owner I think you should take accountability and apologize and try to find a resolution but instead they just blame it on the customer and give attitude back. I have been this nail salon for 3 times. Every times I do same things ( acrylic and gel) but EVERY TIMES different prices. During this 3 months from July to September they increase their prices every month. When you check online the price of this month is $50 but when you go there they said because you cut your nail and shape square you have to pay $60 I have never seen any things like this . Nails Paradise is the only nail salon I trust to get my nails done, particularly after the COVID19 pandemic! From the very beginning, they have been very sanitary & clean, but this is especially true post-COVID. There are dividers in between every pedicure chair, a full clear divider at the manicure station, and everything is constantly sanitized before & after a customer is seated. As for the quality of their work, I have never had an issue. Gege does my nails & it always, always comes out even better than I hoped for! I can show her a picture & she immediately knows what colors to pick out, what adjustments should be made based on nail length, skin tone etc., & executes it flawlessly. My pedicure is usually done by whoever is available at the time & it's always very well done. This is especially true if you are prone to ingrown nails as I unfortunately am, because they do a great job of getting them out every time! BEWARE!!! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I'm only giving two stars because the pedicure itself was not bad. Pedicure was ok. Im extremely disappointed at the manipulative misrepresentation of the service I ordered. I've been looking all over L.A. for a great spot that offers spa pedicures with hot stone massages... I was excited when I found this place online, thinking I'd finally found my place! Once I got to the salon I also saw that they do blow outs... I get blowouts weekly, so it would be so great to come here and just have a nice pampering session every week that included nail services, hair services and even facials! I was told when I walked in to pick out a gel color because gel was included in the package that I booked, so I did so (even though I usually just do regular lacquer on my toes.) The service provider did a decent job, applying a leg mask, scrub and callus remover, followed by gel color and then a paraffin wax. Once the wax was removed, my feet were wiped down and some lotion was applied and then I was told my service was complete. When I asked about hot stone massage, I was told it's no longer included. Another provider mentioned that it had something to do with Covid, however I've had many hot stone massages at reflexology massage businesses since Covid, most recently just a week ago. Once I went to the counter to pay, I was asked for $70 rather than the $60 that was quoted on both the website and the confirmation emails that were sent to me. When I inquired I was told that I was charged extra for the gel color (that I never asked for and was told to choose because it was included.) When I asked why it was so much more given that I didn't even receive the hot stone massage (and I explained this was disappointing considering it was the selling point that brought me to the salon in the first place) she said the hot stone massage was replaced with the gel color... yes, even after she told me she charged me an extra $10 for the gel color that I was never interested in in the first place. At the end of the day, I'm disappointed in what I got for nearly $100 including the tip. She also gypsyed me into believing I'd done my math wrong to obtain an extra $10. read more

The WORST manicure I have gotten in my entire life. Hey business owner: I DID NOT REQUEST A POLISH CHANGE. That is a blatant lie. Ask your receptionist who gave me the appointment for the manicure. 1. The nail technician looked like she hated her job, hated me, and wanted to go home. She asked me, "do you want to trim your cuticles, you don't have any". I felt bad that she looked exhausted and said sure, no cuticles. Really? Like Really????????? I was exhausted myself coming home from treating cancer patients, so I didn't want to cause a conflict. I felt bad to tell someone to their face that they are swindling me and doing a crappy job. 3. Very unprofessional customer service. Like bro I just informed you that your nail technician swindled me and you don't even refund my money back. Ridiculous. Just a money hungry, apathetic, unprofessional, puppy mill kinda place. 4. The environment was not covid friendly. There was no evidence of sterilization with barbicide, didn't use clean equipment and the area was not disfected. Overall it looked disheveled and dirty. 5. The polish and clear coat was dated. She was literally putting goop on my nails. AND she had the audacity to blame ME. Instead of apologizing for having bad quality and old polish she said, "you had to pick such a horrible nail polish". I tried to give this place a chance even though when I booked an appointment online through class pass it didn't show up on their end. When the receptionist told me it was fine I had misunderstood that they would honor my booking through class pass since that was already paid for. At the end they didn't honor it and she wasn't very nice about me trying to explain to her how I had booked this through class pass:l. At the end I was charged a full $35 for the pedicure despite already paying for it through class pass. That misunderstanding isn't completely their fault but it was mostly the attitude towards it that didn't sit well with me. The one star review wasn't just for the booking confusion it the overall experience with the pedicure. They def rush you and the whole time I just felt super uneasy sitting there while they very seemingly want their customers in and out. Once my pedicure was done they didn't offer sandals but I had my own Birkenstock's which my lady put on me but then my picky toe was ruined and although she saw she didn't say anything. At that point even though I knew the toe was ruined I didn't ask for it to get fixed even though normally I do because the overall ambience was just too intense for me and at that point along with the double paying for this pedicure I didn't have the energy to argue. Finally after trying so many nail salons, I found this place and I love it, it's great that you can book the appointment online and choose your specialist. I always go with Liana and Ana, they both do great and clean job, they really put time and always make sure it's the shape and thickness I want. For the toes, they check if I have any discomfort or pain. I get rubber base gel manicure and regular pedicure and they last till my next appointment (3 weeks).
