Instead, she…read moreintroduced herself by saying she owned a nearby nail shop and began promoting a discount for her business. It felt awkward because I found it strange that the salon manager would allow someone to advertise a competing business inside an establishment that provides the same service. Also, during my appointment, Suzy was often on her phone or talking loudly with her and other technicians which made the experience less relaxing. She also charged a little things that added it up the bill that I felt unnecessary although the result came out nice but it was overpriced. I may be coming back to try a different tech since location is convenient to me.

Brian was my nail technician. He offered me a complimentary drink so I chose champagne. But I couldn't even drink it because my hands were being worked on or had to soak them in water. I chose a gel french manicure and when he showed me I wanted a more broader French tip. I wasn't asked for my base coat color. He told me the base is pink. It was a little too pink for my liking but again I wasn't asked. He did my nails pretty quickly. I was done before 12:40 pm. I have gotten my nails done many times in other salons, there was something off with this salon. Maybe its the language barrier, usually I like to talk to my technician while I get my nails done. It came time to pay and it was $45 even after the 10% if I paid in cash and $50 if I paid by card so of course I paid in cash. I don't think I would go back here, it felt very factory oriented and not personal.

The generally positive reviews about cleanliness and quality led me here. Seems like every nail…read moresalon has a scathing review in/around the area, but I was desperate for a pedicure and this place accepts walk-ins. The nail salon looks pristine. Everything looks brand new and the interior is decorated with glass chandeliers plus tile and beautiful decorative elements. Thankfully another reviewer shared how check-in works. There's a little sign, but the tablet doesn't say "check in." There's a list of all the clients on the screen and I selected "new" where I was then asked to type in basic personal contact information. Someone seated at a nail station asked me what I wanted, and I said pedicure. Then, being used to the idiosyncrasies of nail salons without any front desk staff, I just went to look at polish (great selection) and waited. The wait wasn't long (this was about 3:30pm on a Friday). Everything was going fine until the tech pulled out a tattered, well-worn menu with pedicure options that was completely different than their online menu. I asked for a basic pedicure but that didn't seem to exist. -1 star for misrepresenting services offered. I wouldn't have even walked in the door for a basic pedicure at $37. The pedicure was OK - barely touched cuticles or cleaned under nail. The massage portion lasted about 7 mins but was concentrated on the legs not feet. I'm not sure if/how tools are sanitized between clients. The tech got them from a drawer at her station and returned them there. Polish application was great. Basic standard pedicure. Nothing knocking my socks off enticing me to return though, especially at that price point. No wine (or any refreshment offered) as a previous review mentioned. Good to know: they want cash tips. Someone checking out before me didn't have cash, so they did a separate charge just for tip.

There was only a lady drying her nails at that time. Small parking lot infront of store, with other eateries on the same little strip. Pedicure station is seperated by clear shower curtains and a window infront of the nail tech. Only 2 nail chairs are avail for usage, for social distancing. Small store so the sink was really close to the pedicure station and the eyewax products and wax were in the closet, ontop of the large store heater............. There was a smell of heavy food so that threw me off for a bit. Masks are required. Techs appeared to wash their hands often. A tip line is not avail. on the debit reciept so tell them ahead of swiping if you want to add a tip or make sure you have change on hand. I will make an appt and come back! I actually lost a whole pinky nail while going to them my real nail not the acrylic. She kept attaching a new nail to the nub left on my pinky so I stopped going. I took a break then went back for 1 set. I started going to someone else and while my new nail tech was trying to soak off the remaining nails I had I was told mma monomer was used instead of ema now after looking up the difference I know now why I lost a whole pinky nail while going there. My new tech couldn't even remove the last 2 nails I had on I've had them on since march and I just got done getting the last 2 off which was extremely painful. Do not go here mma is illegal for a reason and now I'm left with damaged weak nails I can't even explain how painful it was to get these nails off.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves transparency. I visited My One Nail…read moreSpa for a (scheduled) full acrylic set and pedicure. After the acrylic set was started, I immediately noticed the application was incorrect. Because the salon was close to closing, I was encouraged to just continue with the service anyway. I declined the pedicure and questioned the quality of the acrylic application. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, I was initially gaslighted and told everything was fine. Once the technician realized I understood how the service should actually be performed, the situation suddenly shifted. I was offered a large discount and asked not to contact management because he said he would "get in trouble." That moment made me extremely uncomfortable. As an African American woman, situations like this can feel particularly unsettling because we are often dismissed or made to feel like we are being "difficult" for simply asking for the service we paid for to be done correctly. At that point, I just wanted to make it home safely and avoid unnecessary conflict. Even though I was uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my service, I still paid and tipped in order to de-escalate the situation and leave peacefully. It has now been roughly three weeks, and the acrylic set still has not properly cured, which raises serious concerns about the quality of the products or application used. I hope this review encourages management to improve both the quality of their services and the way customer concerns are handled. Everyone deserves to feel respected, safe, and confident in the services they receive.
