My wife went there to get a pedicure done when she was 8 months pregnant. My wife texted her when she got to the salon, per her request. She then demanded that my wife wait outside in high 80s degree heat. When she finally let my wife in, more than 15 minutes late for her scheduled appointment, she got mad and frustrated at my wife because my wife had asked to be let in from the heat due to her being pregnant. Wife left and was very upset and became sick due to the heat outside and the lack of AC in the building (or maybe it being turned down). She later left this reply to my wife (she's lying, she was more than 15 minutes late). She is simply a disturbing individual and does not deserve to profit from being so cruel to someone in such a debilitating position. read more

Well I couldn't find it. We drove by it a couple times and then finally saw a small sign. So I didn't get a chance to go in so I don't know how they were I'm sure hopefully they are a good nail salon but I couldn't testify to that. read more

Extremely overpriced. I was charged 85$ for a basic pedicure and a gel color change not even a manicure, didn't last a week. And my nails are short. Is that normal? Was I over charged? read more

Anyone who has "their girl/guy" for a specific beauty treatment or service knows how difficult it is to try to find someone to replace them. For ten whole years I had been going to Claudia at Image & Style in Doral. Not only did she do absolutely amazing things to my hands but she and her family became friends. Needless to say I was freaking out trying to figure out what to do when I moved here to College Park. I have acrylic nails, have had them all this time because I used to do Triathlons and due to the chlorine, sea water, and general beating up my nails, no matter how much I took care of them would split straight down the center and peel off. This can be quite painful really. So Claudia suggested this option and they held up through the races and after I stopped I kept them. Still active, this is a great option so I don't have to worry about them. I had noticed Nails On The Edge, it is the closest place to my house so I walked in, asked the owner Valerie for pricing and availability and said I would call for an appointment. I went in yesterday a tad nervous. Nails are an art, you ether have the talent or you don't. Period. I truly was hoping she could do them like Claudia did. Honestly I must say I am so thrilled, they are wonderful. Valerie has been doing this for 25 years, and truly has the talent to do them right. She has loyal customers, and I now will be one of them. She is very sweet, professional and who doesn't love local businesses? She suggested a few farmers markets, knows all of the business owners and when I told her I was looking for a job she told me about a place next door that might be looking for someone. I am truly happy to have found Nails On The Edge. I will always miss Claudia (for the last two months she would tell me how sad she was that I was leaving and make me cry), but am thrilled I have found a new nail friend. read more

Without doubt the best place to get your nails done in or around Orlando :) 5 starts yelp guarantee. I wanted to wait few days after getting my nails done so I could rate the endurance as well. This was a wonderful experience, the place is located in a main busy street yet there is plenty parking on the back; the location is small and cute and private so you feel comfortable enough to have a great conversation with Valerie and enjoy the company of Maggie. I am impressed by the quality of the products; a week later my nails are still perfect with normal nail polish no gel or anything else. read more

Val is amazing! And her shop is the cutest. She's definitely my new fav hidden little gem in College Park. Gotta check her out! The level of care, time and attention that she gives makes it oh so worth it. Definitely worth every penny! And I learned some new things about nails and nail care that you could never get from a conventional nail salon. So happy I found her. Thanks Val! read more

Valerie is AMAZING and her work is meticulous and beautiful! It's easy to see that she takes pride in what she does and doesn't just view you as one of many. Like she so eloquently said while we were chatting (she's great to talk to!), she really is focused on building a business instead of just running one. Her pricing is beyond fair and comparable to what you'd pay at any other salon (better in fact!), but the quality far surpasses what you'll find elsewhere. I should know since I used to go to a popular place right down the street. She even has repetitive pricing for repeat customers, which I'll certainly be! I called Valerie after work during the week and she was kind enough to fit me in right away (in 10 minutes actually!) even though she was already out and about running errands. I got a gel manicure...not any gel manicure, the BEST gel manicure I've ever had. She is precise and her lines are so clean that you'll quickly realize how poorly you've been having your nails done. She is a wizard who made my tiny nail beds and misshapen cuticles look awesome. More importantly, she didn't make me feel embarrassed about them (you know what I'm talking about if you've ever had a nail tech point out to you how horrible your nails are!). She is extremely knowledgable and gave me tips about how to make my manicure last without pushing any products on me. As for the salon itself, it's tiny but clean and cozy! I don't have a single complaint and I loved the entire experience! What can I say? Nails on the Edge is the best place for manicures that I've ever been to and I can't wait to return! Thank you so much, Valerie! read more

I found this cute, tiny nail salon on Yelp! The owner does all of the work in this quaint, comforting space in College Park. Valerie, the owner, is a real lovely person with a big heart and love for all things nails. She stays up to date on the latest products and doesn't use anything on her clients she wouldn't use on herself (she tests it out before using with clients which is key to understanding her business and ensuring high quality products for her clients). Because she is the only nail artist on site it is best to make an appointment. You can call same day and take whatever's available or schedule it weeks out. She keeps good hours, often open until 8pm. The services aren't cheap but you get what you pay for! She takes her time and gives you proper care. She gave me the best pedicure I've ever had because she really looked at my feet and touched them to see where I needed attention - not many places do that! Most importantly, she keeps her place clean! You won't be experiencing tools or tubs that aren't freshly cleaned for your use. read more

Valerie is nothing short of AMAZING!! She's a perfectionist like me, so my nails are always beautiful and perfect when I leave! It's so relaxing here, like your own private spa!! The products she uses are fabulous and she even does waxing too! If you're looking for a new place to get pampered, this is the spot. I've been coming here for over a year and won't go anywhere else!! read more

I would give Valerie (Nails on the Edge) 20 stars if I could!! She fixed the acrylic nails I had done at some random nail salon - they were a HOT mess!! I've been following Valerie all over Orlando for the past 10 years, and when I learned that she was finally opening her own space, I was thrilled. Nails on the Edge is such a great spot to have a manicure & pedicure. It's private, so you don't have to worry about hair stylists all around you or being stuck in a little back room of a spa. Val takes immaculate care of her clients' nails. She recommends treatments and applications that work for YOUR lifestyle and not just what she feels like doing at that moment. Her pedicures are some of the most relaxing ever and she's a blast to chat with during the procedures. Seriously, don't waste your time or money going anywhere else. You get what you pay for at Nails on the Edge. Top-notch service in every capacity. read more

Nails On The Edge - So pretty...Luv it!!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Found this little gem while shopping near by. I was pleasantly surprised by the intimate, specialized and cozy feel of the nail salon. The salon has one manicure table and one pedicure chair. The owner treats you like a true queen by servicing one client at a time. I have really bad feet as I run a lot and have to wear boots for work. I came out of there with super soft feet, and pretty toe nails. Highly recommend! read more

My experience with Valerie at Nails on the Edge was stellar. This was my first visit but I will most definitely be back again. I got lucky and was able to reserve a same day appointment. Her place is intimate and you get a one on one experience here. Valerie really knows her stuff and explains the process as she works. She even gave me items to soak off my gel in case I wasn't able to make it back to soak it off there, how great!! My nails look amazing. I'll be sending anyone looking for a great nail experience here. Thanks so much! read more

Really great experience. I was blown away because she is so knowledgeable about nails and care for your feet and hands. She was also very sweet, and did an excellent job on my hands and feet. I will be a regular. She even helped advise on a product that would help my toes-I have some damage from wearing heels. It's definitely worth trying her at least once. It's personal attention and healthy nail care. The guy who wrote the bad review because she mainly accepts cash is ridiculous. Merchant fees are pretty bad, especially if you're a small business. Just bring cash. read more

Valerie was great. She fixed the horrible job of acrylics I had put on yesterday at a random cheap salon. Instead of making me soak my nails in acetone for a long time, she took her time to drill the acrylics down. She is very knowledgable in nail techniques, and decided because my natural nails are normally so thin already, and the previous terrible nail tech used a drill on them (instead of just buffing to take away the shine), she kept a thin layer of acrylic on my nails and did a beautiful gel top coat. I can't wait for these to grow out and come off so I can become a regular and have my nails done by her on a normal basis! read more

The owner Valerie seems very burnt out . She was rude , unfriendly and rushed my hour service into 40 minutes not to mention i had to wait 15 minutes for my scheduled appointment . Came to find out when she would talk to me I was her last appointment and it was obvious she couldnt wait to get out of there . I honestly felt disrespected the whole time and couldnt beleive she is in business . I have been getting my nails done for 20 years and by far this was the worst nail service ever . I usually go to the same nail tech and was open to finding a new place since i recently moved to the area . But I will NEVER go back there nor recommend her . If you want good service , and a friendly atmosphere where your business is appreciated go to nails by mercede . I had to find them by trial and error . This is the first bad review ive ever done , but honestly this was so bad i had to vent . In response to your reply , I most certainly do NOT have you confused or mistaken and you definitely were not pleasant. Im not sure your even aware how you come across and maybe some self anaylisis would be helpful to you and your business . I do not have any hard feelings towards you , however the experience you gave me left a terrible impression . read more

Whenever I'm in the area, I look forward to a pedicure with Valerie. Her pedicures are the best ever. First she is very concerned about cleanliness. That's a big concern for me too. Her care for my feet, legs and toes are terrific. I would go just to have her massage my feet and legs. And the pedicure last a long time. Nails on the Edge is THAT GOOD. GO. Valerie is a gel manicure genius!!! I am so sad it took me 4 years of living in Orlando to find her, but I can now look no further. I have paid extra in the past to receive gel polish on my nails in hopes that it will at least last a week after my manicure and it always chips only days after the manicure. I am 9 days into my first gel manicure from Valerie and I do not have single chip or scratch on my nails! They literally look the way they did when I walked out of the salon last week. I learned that the application is key and other tips on how to make my nails last...and she was right on the money about everything. I have traveled and slammed these nails around over the past week and I could not be happier. Even my grow out is very minimal at this point. She really cares about the health of your nails and taking care of them properly. I would highly recommend going here for a high quality gel manicure that lasts. This is her own place and she is the only one in there..so I would recommend making an appointment even though she does take walk-ins. There is additional parking behind the building if you cannot find a spot on Edgewater. read more

I have been searching for a nail salon for a long time since my last nail tech moved out if state. I tried several "pedi-mills" and did not like the experience. I was a bit nervous trying another new place, but as soon as I walked in the door I knew I had found the place for me. Very CLEAN. Very personable and an enjoyable. I stepped through the door as a potential customer, I walked out a client who highly recommends Nails on the edge with owner/operator Valerie. Ok! So I was looking for a place to get a 'walk in' pedicure in the area I was in AT THE TIME! My last experience looking for a pedicure location on YELP taught me to take the reviews to heart. I saw that Nails on the Edge had only 2 reviews but they were stellar! So I took a chance, and she was able to fit me in. I have to tell you that it was one of THE best pedicures I ever had! I needed one badly! It was worth EVERY penny (or dollar)! She took time to handle my issues! She was a joy to converse with! I don't live in an area that makes this place convenient, but I plan to work my schedule around being able to have her do my pedicures from here on out! read more

This is my first time to write a review on Yelp. I am motivated to take the time to tell my neighbors about Nails on the Edge because after years of getting pedicures, I walked into Valerie Dittman's shop one day this past summer, and when I walked out, I said to myself, "So this is what a pedicure is supposed to be like!" After my first visit, I determined this would be my shop! I had been having some issues with my toenails. After only a few visits with Valerie those issues have disappeared. I used to cut my nails before I would go in for a pedicure to try to avoid some of the pain I experienced when my nails were clipped during a pedicure. I don't have to do that now. I also no longer have issues with ingrown toenails that I occasionally had in the past now that I am visiting Nails on the Edge regularly. About a week before I need an appointment, I text Valerie with some days and times that I am free. She promptly texts me back with a suggested date and time for an appointment. I confirm the appointment by text. She sends me a reminder text the day before my appointment. I arrive on time, and she gets me out on time. After one visit Valerie had me ready to return. After 5 visits, I am a loyal customer so pleased with her service that I am was excited to take the time to tell others in College Park about Nails on the Edge. read more

I called Valerie for a pedicure and a gel fingernail polish change. She was able to book me the same day. I walked in and it is a very private salon. One worker, one pedi chair, one place for nails. Very quiet and personal. When wrapping my nails, I was looking at gel colors and explained my reasoning behind a specific color I wanted to get. Unfortunately she didn't have it, or anything really like it, in gel. So we started on my toes.. I did the 30 min pedi. I believe this was 30/35 bucks. It was no frills but down to the point and just what I needed. She put a color on my toes that I really liked and we ended up using that on my fingernails instead of gel since I wanted the color. Valerie was easy to talk to and very experienced. I enjoyed my hour long mani pedi with her. I would definitely go back! My only critique is, again, with it being such a small salon, she doesn't have as many color options as the walls and walls of polish you'd typically find. read more

I'm procrastinating on my work for another 5 minutes :) just had a manicure and mini pedicure here and they were great! I've never actually been to a salon that's just a one lady show, but I think I actually prefer it now that I have. Val did a great job and she actually knows a lot about nail health in general which is not always at the front of my mind when getting my nails done (usually polish color is). I know she takes walk ins... But since it is a small setup I recommend making an appointment. It's a cozy and cute place too. Support small business owners! read more

Great service and atmosphere and my nails look amazing two weeks later! I'll definitely be back!

Really wonderful experience beginning to end and excellent quality mani/pedi. Wish I lived in Orlando so I could keep coming back.

Cannot say enough good things about this salon and Valerie. The number one thing is how clean her establishment is. Valerie is the consummate professional. I have been going to Valerie for 25+ years for all my services. Pedicures, acrylics, gels, manicures...I have never once been disappointed. There are lots of nail salons in the area, but Valerie at Nails on the Edge is the only place that I would ever trust to take care of my nails.
