I'm shocked I haven't written this review. I've been seeing Ashley for about ten years now. It all started in a tiny janitor closet out of a hair salon (honestly... they didn't know the talent they had...) to having her own space with HER SUPER TALENTED HUSBAND WHO ALSO DOES NAILS. need character nails? want the dopest new techniques? they do that. Want to join a client community filled with the BEST, most supportive, inclusive people? This is IT. Honestly, the space and atmosphere that Ashley and Eddie have created is ON POINT. I have been going to Ashley and Eddy for almost two years now! I am always so grateful for the community they have at their salon. I don't always do crazy nail art - I actually prefer minimal nails but Ashley has always been super inclusive to all of my ideas. Every time I go out I get complimented on my nails. They always last the 4 weeks until my next appointment without fail. I appreciate how thoughtful Ashley and Eddy are with their clients - they are super communicative. They always take their time with their clients to make sure they are happy. I have never once felt rushed out of the salon. I highly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a nail experience that is cozy and flawless. I truly believe you get what you pay for! read more

I first visited Nail Alchemy October of 2018. I decided to book with Brooke after finding her on Instagram and seeing one of her Halloween nail designs went viral. I always enjoyed Brooke and her talent, however she had since left this salon. I decided to book with the owner Ashley while I waited to see where Brooke went next so I could follow her. This was a mistake. Let me say, this review is for my services with Ashley. My natural nails had grown long and beautiful (thanks biotin!) However one nail had broke while I was helping hubby with yard work. I showed Ashley an Instagram post with inspiration for what I wanted. I had requested a plum color via the photo I showed her with a watercolor like design on my accent nails. Instead I got red nails with my accent nails just covered with a bunch of color that didn't look at all like watercolor. Not to mention most of my nails were crooked. My broken nail was covered with a clear fake nail that was not shaped to match the rest of my natural nails and just painted over. The nail itself was a little too snug and it was pretty uncomfortable. After applying the red polish to the fake nail you could still see through it so Ashley globbed on a nude gel polish under the nail ... Didn't use a top coat to seal it and didn't clean up the mess it made on my finger tip. For a modern progressive salon, I was disappointed that this was her strategy. Ashley's price on their website said $70 for a gel mani with simple art and $15 for gel soak off. My total was $45 at the end of the services which made no sense to me. Did she give me a discount because she knew she did a terrible job? For someone who has done nails for 14 years I was surprised by the end result. The whole time Ashley was talking to her husband who was sitting next to her about what they needed to order, and how he got a sandwich order wrong, and how her family member was supposed to come in to get her nails done so he should call her. She was SO distracted. That's probably why my nails didn't come out right. I paid and left. As soon as I got home I soaked the gel off and took that ridiculous fake nail off. I just checked their website and Ashley isn't even listed as a tech anymore, so I have no idea what is going on. The nails on her Instagram are all beautiful, but I didn't get that same treatment. ASHLEY IS AMAZING! I'm not someone who has ever repeatedly gotten my nails done, but once I met Ashley that changed. Not only is she an insanely talented artist, but she works so hard to ensure her customers are always happy and well taken care of. Watching her draw by free-hand the likes of Oprah, Daria, and Jane and other designs is such a treat. With Orlando City's season about to start, I was inspired to get artificial nails (for the first time) with soccer-inspired art. It was the first time Ashley has done anything like that and they turned out so good! When I went back in a few weeks, I decided to get Orlando Pride-themed nails. I've been going for several months now and every time I'm impressed by her skills. My friend Ann R. started going on my recommendation and she was paired with Brooke. I have been following Nail Alchemy and their amazing nail artists for a few months and I decided to book a mani and pedi before my vacation. I was curious to which art tier I should book so I texted the salon. (They don't do DMs or messaging) I was then instructed which tier to book and I booked my services with no problem. Then the day of (Thursday), actually AN HOUR before my scheduled appointment, I received a text message saying they needed to reschedule my appointment as they were short staffed and come to find out, the tech I had booked with was no longer going to be working there. So, they offered to reschedule for Saturday but I work overnights and weekends and this would not work. And I leave for vacation on Monday. I do understand that things come up but I feel like they knew more in advance than the 1 hour notice I got. I live on the attractions side of Orlando and was already on my way to Winter Park. As much as I want to rebook when I get back, I am just really turned off by the whole experience and I haven't even walked through the door. read more

Had my nails done by Ashley today and one word...AMAZING TALENT (actually two words). She did my full set acrylic and not only are my nails shaped PERFECTLY, it was a painless process. No cuts or nicks and they feel and look amazing. A friend introduced me to this place a while ago. They have grown quite a bit since then. This salon is so wonderful and welcoming. They are true artists. My most recent visit was with Jasmine. I am so pleased with my Apres nails. They really care about the health of your nails and it shows. They have such attention to detail and I didn't feel like just a number in a lineup here. Highly recommend especially if you want any detailed artwork. They give you pricing upfront which I really appreciate. read more

I RARELY post my thoughts, good or bad, about the businesses I frequent. I'm working to change that with this very post. I have been a customer at Nail Alchemy for several years now. Before that, I met Ashley (one of the owners) before she opened her own place at another salon. I connected with her honesty, positivity and professionalism right away. A few years ago, I heard that she had opened a salon and I sought her out. My nails were busted! I was disgusted and looking for someone that would be as invested in the health of my nails as they were in them looking amazing. I found Nail Alchemy and I haven't looked back. I always leave my appointments energized, uplifted and cuter than when I walked in! I love the atmosphere that the wife (Ashley) and husband (Eddie) co-owners promote. I thought it couldn't get better. Enter The Floating Pedicure! Imagine lying on your back, with a bolster under knees to support your lower back. Imagine a warmed and weighted face mask with lavender placed over eyes. Soft music playing around you. Then you choose what essential oil combination you want to smell as you receive your pedicure. This pedicure also involves hot towels, scrubs and leg/foot massage - oh my! And did I mention the shoulder massage? After all of that, your toes are cute to boot!! No customer service at all. I was referred by a friend who raved about her nails. My first appointment was with Ashley (the owner). I showed up and Rebecca did my nails instead. I paid a lot for dip and pedicure as their prices are higher than your average salon and my nails were terrible. They started peeling and the dip was so uneven. I went back to give them another try. I scheduled an appointment with Ashley again. I received a text from Eddie 40 minutes before my appointment saying that I couldn't get a dip today and offered me other services. I told him that was OK and I would talk to Ashley when I got there. I was then informed that I wouldn't be seeing Ashley and they put me with another technician. I let Eddie know after my appointment that the nail technician was great but I wanted to speak with Ashley regarding my past experiences. He told me sure I could speak to her and asked me for a convenient time. I gave him a time and never heard back. I then texted the following day and advise him that I would be taking my business elsewhere. He then refused to allow me to talk to Ashley and said he I could talk to him instead. During my contact with Eddie, he also advised me that Ashley was going through a lot and it appeared to me that he was attempting to make me feel bad for complaining. This is a business with clients.
