This place came to the rescue when my friend and I couldn't get appointments anywhere else the weekend of Chinese New Years. We were the only Asians in this place, which explained why haha but we were thankful they have openings. The set up of this place for manicures, isn't very ideal if you go with a gf. The stations aren't close for you to chat with the person you came with and the ones that are close, one person would be speaking to the back of another. So if you want to come solo, this works for you, otherwise it's just kind of awkward. The pedicure stations are right next to each other. As this was our first visit, we were surprised at how long this place had been in business. I think the workers said around 20 years ?... something like that. When you enter, they want to get all your contact info and for you to sign up for their rewards program. As someone who finds it hard to find a good nail salon, I was apprehensive about it as I was skeptical that I'd return. But they offer rewards or promo codes via text which can be a nice touch. They convinced my friend and I to get dip manicures. She got a french manicure, while I just had a solid color. Mine took longer which we weren't expecting but you know, different technicians work at different paces. I was very surprised that my friend's dip manicure didn't last longer than a week. She broke two nails and then she was able to peel off the rest. I literally thought she was messing with me. I didn't believe her because my manicure was still going strong. When they started to grow out though, they were not attached at the back and I could see how she peeled them off so easily. She didn't want to call the salon a week after it happened, even though I advised her to. So I'm not sure if they would've done something for her or not. But needless to say, we won't be returning. read more

Yvonne expertly applied cuticle cream and pushed down my cuticles, then hand buffed any rough spots in my nails WITHOUT A DRILL. I had SNS dip applied to my nails and then had them shaped to my liking. This is now my FAVORITE nail salon. It's truly a boutique environment, did not have a normal "nail salon" smell. Yvonne was super careful my entire manicure and I got an SNS dip that has vitamins in it which will help fortify my natural nails. She was so professional and not only that but spoke to me the entire time- never to any other nail techs in a language I couldn't understand. Extremely professional the entire time. Best nail salon I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few before I found my "home" at Nails on the Boulevard. This first thing you notice when you walk in the door is the pretty (but not overly frou-frou guys) and the inviting atmosphere. The salon is meticulously clean. They spot clean as they go which is nice to keep dust from piling up. They autoclave their metal instruments and sanitize the non metal with alcohol. As someone who has gotten a bad infection from another salon, this is very important to me. Yvonne, the owner, is very knowledgeable about nails. She is constantly going to classes to enhance her knowledge and know the new things that are coming out. She is always training the other nail techs. If you love to laugh and have a fun time, this is definitely the salon for you. Yvonne is a hoot!! They have a LOT of colors to choose from and I do mean a lot so come a bit early. Their services are not "cheap" but please remember, you do get what you pay for. If you want cheap, you're at the wrong place but if you want gorgeous nails and the security of knowing that your tech knows exactly what they are doing, the instruments they are using on you are sanitary and even some giggles, this is definitely the salon to go to. read more

This was my first time visiting Nails on the Boulevard and I had a great experience. The salon is small, but well organized and very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They take appointments, which you can make online or by phone. Super convenient and I prefer this to the walk-in method. Beth did a fabulous job with my gel manicure! She was extremely detail oriented and made sure the polish was *perfectly* applied. They have a house-made hand and foot scrub that is amazing! Made my hands so perfectly smooth & soft. I purchased a small container of the scrub for 6.99. A little will go a long way! The only downside is the location is a little too far from my home to be convenient for me. I am a shopper for excellence service and highly recommend NOTB for many reasons - rates are competitive. They don't need gimmicks to win your service. - this is an an old fashioned experience. Every time you go you feel as if you are surrounded by your best friends sharing stories and advice. - no nicks, cuts, burns here. I have been to the sweatshops around town and you are lucky to get an average mani/pedi with a small refreshment but it doesn't make up for the nicks cuts and burns. I went here for SNS dip nails twice. On my first visit, as I was looking through the jumble of color samples on rings at the front of the salon, one of the technicians walked up and grabbed one from me, telling me "That doesn't go there" when I attempted to put it back on the wrong hook. They've got these things so jumbled that it's impossible to know what goes where, and it's not my responsibility to figure that out. Yvonne did my nails that day, and she did a very nice job, but talked a great deal with customers in other chairs about expensive Christmas gifts, and there was just an overall vibe of "yeah, I've got money and I spend it" which was off-putting. I went back again three weeks later for SNS nails, and had the same experience with the "this doesn't go there" as I was looking through colors, this time from the owner Yvonne. Gah. Get a better system, but stop chastising your clients. This time my tech was Vanessa. She did a nice job on my nails, but looked at her watch repeatedly during the entire process. Not just two or three times, but dozens of times, making me feel like I was somehow inconveniencing her. When she finished with my manicure, she plopped the scrub into my palm and told me to go wash my hands in the bathroom at the back of the shop. As I made my way there, someone at a table spoke to me so I stopped to respond, cupping the scrub in my hands. Yvonne barked at me, "Don't scrub out here!!!" (I wasn't GOING to - sheesh! Really need to stop speaking to customers like they're morons!) I had an appointment scheduled recently and called several hours in advance when an unavoidable conflict arose, asking to reschedule. Yvonne was able to book another appointment for me later in the week, but the first thing she asked me was if I'd "canceled last minute like this before", telling me that if she couldn't fill my appointment she'd charge me a $40 "cancellation fee." She later walked this down to $25. She seemed more concerned with dinging me for a "cancellation" (hello? I didn't cancel, I rescheduled!) than anything else, and although I accepted the rescheduled appointment she made, I later thought better of it and canceled it and my next standing appointment online. I won't go back here again. Yes, the "cancellation policy" is posted, but it's BS and not at all customer friendly. I am certainly not paying this salon an additional "fee" if I must change the time of my appointment. They think highly of themselves here, obviously, but with nail salons on (almost literally) every corner in DFW, there are countless better choices where the attitude goes down sweeter and the nails turn out every bit as nice. I had initially thought "American-owned" made this place attractive. It doesn't. I had the best SNS experience ever (nails are perfect) at another Hurst salon ... $30 and not one person scolded me for a darn thing. Imagine that! read more

I was really tired of spending a chunk of money on nails and pedi and leaving the salon feeling like I'd been put through the conveyer belt on high speed. Because of great reviews I decided to try Nails on the Boulevard. From the first phone call I could tell this place was different. I made an appt for Saturday afternoon for dipped nails and a sugar scrub pedi. I was greeted warmly and Marcela started working on my nails. I'm used to having my nails wrapped in foil to remove the old dip but they use a steamer instead. It takes less time and I liked not having chemicals soaking into my nails- and running down my hand. After she removed the powder, she noticed that my natural nails were rough. She asked if the previous salon sanded directly on them. I didn't know there was another way. Instead, she applied the dip and then sanded it smooth. It looks great! And my hands felt wonderful especially after the shop's wonderful scrub. Then Lee proceeded to do the most wonderful pedicure I've had in years. The callous remover left my nasty heels smooth. They felt so good and Marcela even found the polish for my toes that matched my nails. This shop is so clean and peaceful. If you want a really relaxing experience, this is the place. But it's not a quick in and out visit so give yourself time to enjoy it. read more

I went here twice, maybe 3 times. Cute shop, cute employees, quality products. However... if you are going for a mani/pedi it takes aaallll day. I got acrylic nails filled that took over 2 hours!!!! My weekends are not long enough as it is! I get the whole silence your phone thing, and love not having kids run around, but the last time I went the lady next to me held court the whole 2+ hours, talking about everything in her life, loudly and long. I went to get a little quality time with my daughter, but we couldn't heard each other at all over this character. I suffered several nicks and cuts over the course of the visits, and the nails just didn't hold up. My advice is don't bother. read more

Ok, so I found this place on Yelp of all things! Read the reviews and saw that most people if not all had nothing but good things to say about this little "gem", well I am here to tell you differently. First of all the salon is small, only 3 spa chairs. Now some people might like that, but I prefer to be spaced out and not right next to someone cramped in a little corner. Secondly they make you wash your hands even though your getting a spa pedicure? Why do I need to wash my hands when I am getting my FEET done? Third, they insist you silence your cell phones, now this I don't mind but my phone rang and I got a nasty look from the employees when this happened....the sign says silence your phones NOT do not answer your phone if it rings! People are going to get calls, texts, etc. It's 2014 people. Fourth, normally in the past when I have gone to a nail salon and offered a drink they give you a can soda, or an iced coffee, or something simple as a BOTTLE of water. Here I got a plastic cup, kind of like the one's you get on an airplane, size wise. Hope your not thirsty. Lastly I got the most expensive spa pedicure rated at 50.00 and trust me it was NOT at all worth it. Yes, she got the dead skin off my heels, painted my toes pretty (all of which I could do at home) but when it came to the "massage" I was lucky to have gotten 2 minutes PER foot/leg. No hot stone massage, no parfin wax, nothing. I got a salt scrub and a mask and some luke warm towels wrapped around my legs and feet. I then had to sit for 10 minutes with the towels on my feet and legs while she walked off and got back on her Ipad. To sum it up an hour and a half and not 1 appointment, or walk in the WHOLE time I was there. Hmmmm, now I know why. The only reason I went here was to use the 30% off coupon I found on their website for "first time clients". Even 35.00 was to much for what I received. Just being honest.....sorry guys. read more
