What went well: The place was clean. They got us in same day on only a few hours notice. The foot massage was good. The pricing was reasonable. The nail polish selection for my wife and mom were good. What didn't go well: My wife waited 45 minutes past our appointment time to even get water while sitting in the chair. She had to ask for it. She waited 1 hour after our appointment time to get started on her pedicure. When she started, my mom and I were done and had to wait for her entire service. The nail guy, I don't know his name, cut her nails VERY short without asking how short she wanted them, then blamed my wife for it. Other people were getting started while she was still waiting. Overall, not worth it. It was pretty obvious they were invested in their regulars, which is good and all, but if you want your new customers to become regulars, you need to treat them well too. Maybe you'll have a better experience. Maybe you'll be treated well. Maybe not.

I requested a French pedicure with regular polish and was told it couldn't be done--only gel was an option. I know that's not accurate because I've had that exact service done there before. The owner kept trying to push a gel pedicure despite me clearly declining. When I decided to leave, he then told me I owed $10 for simply running water in the pedicure chair. I refused, and he even threatened to call the police--I told him I'd gladly wait. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Looking back, I should have trusted my first impression--there were no customers, and the atmosphere was off. Lesson learned: don't compromise quality for convenience. I had called to make an appointment for both of us, & they said there was time available the next day, which we scheduled. The next morning I changed my mind & decided I'd like to do a pedicure instead of a manicure, there were still a few hours left until our appointment so I gave them a call. They asked what time our appointment was & then said it was fine to switch that over. The next day, we arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Coming in we were greeted by an employee who told us to sign in & then left. We signed in & after standing around deciding if we should be picking out colors or not, we decided to sit down. There were 4 employees working with 3 customers. So far, you could say it's going fine, I understand a busy schedule & that something things run behind. It is now 5 minutes past our appointment time & no one else has even acknowledged us yet... We waited about 15 minutes past our appointment time & decided to walk out. I'm not sure what they mean with over 15 years of service but the location I went to had signs that said "Now Open" & we later noticed handwritten signs on the side of the road promoting a sale. Another random thing was that the wifi name they have isn't called Bamboo Nails but rather the previous nail place name, which kinda threw me off a bit too. Overall, they weren't horrible & nothing bad happened. It's just the customer service aspect of it that I'm talking about today... At least direct me to pick a color or let me know where it's okay to sit, even a simple mention of we're running late but finishing up & will be with you in a moment would've been enough.. /: Pretty disappointed & maybe a little glad we were ignored because it ended up giving me an uneasy feeling

Afterwards my nails were soft and brittle. Within days the gel nail polish started chipping and breaking. I went back to them and all they were willing to do is not charge me for the soak to remove the current gel polish. Even though they are fast the quality is subpar.

I recently moved to Monroe and was really excited to check out this salon. I came in for a refill…read moreservice. There appeared to be an employee holiday party happening during business hours while customers were still inside--which, given the holidays, wasn't an issue to me. However, it felt as though the nail technician was obligated to take me as a client and was interrupted from his festivities. I sat down, complimented his Christmas sweater, and explained what I wanted done. From the start, he was condescending and very rough with my hands, but I didn't say anything. Every request I made, he countered with options that didn't make sense. I'm not a nail artist--I simply asked for a soak-off because he didn't have the matching acrylic powder. Instead, he kept insisting on refilling with what he had, even though the colors didn't match and I wanted a French design. He repeatedly told me a French wasn't possible because the acrylic difference would show, which is exactly why I originally requested a soak-off. I tried to compromise by choosing a dark nude or gray, but it still wasn't the look I wanted. He then told me he couldn't do a French at all. At that point, I told him that as the artist, he should be able to offer solutions rather than rushing the process. He responded by speaking rudely in his language to his coworkers and then abruptly got up from his seat. I have never been treated this way in any establishment. I was shocked, confused, and embarrassed, and I truly wish I had never stepped foot inside. I came in with high hopes and left with nothing but attitude, rudeness, and disappointment--and no holiday nails I was so excited for. Moral of the story: ask all questions at the front desk before being assigned to a technician, so you don't end up with someone who clearly doesn't want to work or be bothered. (Tom)

I did ask the gentleman at the counter for the exact price and he said $15. I also was quoted $38 for a pedicure with the same polish. Fast forward to when it was time to pay. They were charging $68. They said it was $5 additional for French manicure and that the guy didn't know the correct price. So why have him at the front desk answering pricing questions if he doesn't know prices? Even by their figures, $38 + $5 + $15 + $5 = $63. Then they tried to say that $5 extra was for Gel polish. I definitely did not get gel polish. I told them that. They said they would correct the price. When I looked at my receipt, they charged me $68 anyway. These people are shady! I will never be back! My nails are chipping pretty badly and it's only been 5 days. There's no way it's gel polish plus they didn't cure the polish, it air dried. They are liars!
