This was done yesterday. She cut my cuticles and blood was dripping down my hand until I picked up and left. She rushed the manicure, didn't file nicely. The whole manicure was done in 16 minutes. I had popped in here since my old nail girl that I used to see elsewhere had moved. I came here for about a year when this place first opened and I had thought it was a really great salon. I have no idea what happened, or whether it was from an ownership change or what, but this place completely fell by the wayside. The prices are not that bad ($25 for a pedi), but while I was sitting there with my feet in the tub, you could literally see the filth of this place. Peeling paint, chipped equipment, old wax dripped down the walls and onto dirty towels. Just disgusting. I most definitely will not be risking my health or general well-being for a cheap pedicure ever again. read more

I got gel nail tips about two weeks ago...they started lifting and one fell off...giving them the benefit of the doubt I had a gel fill...well Brian made me feel very uncomfortable, kept straightening out my hand, acting annoyed with me, I felt like crying. I can assure you I won't ever go back let alone recommend this salon. No customer should be made to feel bad about themselves. I have had my nails done here since they opened.The original owner sold the shop several years back and quite honestly, though the technician turnover rate has slowed, I think the quality of the service and cleanliness of the place has deteriorated as well. I think Julie and Annie (her sister, I think) are good for pink and whites and have no complaints on that front. However, the girls who do the pedicures, while friendly, tend to rush through them and I'm never fully satisfied with the outcome. I have one of their reward cards - but quite honestly, I'm not sure I want to redeem my points. I've gone back to natural nails after 3+ years of gels. The regular manicures I've gotten here have not been anything special. On the positive side, even without an appointment, you rarely have to wait long to have your nails done. Stay away from this place. The owner is rude and the nail work is subpar. I went in for waxing and decided to get a pedicure. The waxing was fine but my pedicure was not. The nails were uneven and poorly shaped so, I opted for no polish. As I payed I informed the clerk I'd go get money for my tip and return. The owner then shouted you can go to Dunkin Donuts. She was implying I could go use their ATM for a tip. I returned and tipped the technician and spoke with the owner. I let her know her behavior was uncalled for and I won't be returning for any service. She laughed. I've been here numerous times and they consistently make me feel uncomfortable. read more

Got tips on my birthday, which was this tuesday. Not even a day later, my nail fell off, completely just peeled off. Went to get it fixed, and they told me it was my fault. Meanwhile, new acrylic nails don't just come off; if it was my fault, my nail would also be severely damaged. Then, this morning I woke up and my nail was completely gone. New acrylic nails don't just fall off. I came in to fix it, they blamed me, and now I have to pay for the repair. Not to mention, they look terrible and are uneven, awkwardly thick, and glue still everywhere. read more

Terrible experience. Man painted my toe messed it up tried fixing by adding more polish which made it clumpy then Redid only after I asked. Waited for it to dry and when all other nails are done the one nail that he messed up got ruined. Then we had to wait for a different manicurist to finish with another pedicure rather then Service us right away. Terrible experience. First and last time coming here. I would not go back. The place was filthy and the girls working there were incredibly rude, not only to customers but to each other. The girl doing my manicure was obviously sick and at one point she used the back of her hand to wipe her nose and then continued doing my nails... On December 25th I went to Nails on 9 for a gel manicure. I did not have gels on at the time. I chose a maroon/pink color. A very young nail technician did my manicure. 5 days later the nail color turned yellow around the cuticuls. The gel color turned yellow. My natural nail was its regular color. I called Nails on 9 on December 31st around 11AM and described the issue and asked what time I would be able to come in to have the gel manicure fixed. The man who answered the phone seemed confused and told me to come in at 12PM. Minutes later another nail technician called me asking to re-explain the problem to her. I could hear her going back and forth with the man who I had originally spoke to. I went in at 12 and a woman laughed at me the second she looked at my nails. When another man looked at them he laughed and insisted I am a smoker and that's why my nails, not the gels, are yellow. I am not a smoker, told him so, and pointed out the fact that the part of my natural nails that are visible are not yellow and are their normal color. After laughing at me some more and insisting this isn't their fault, I pointed out that they are an expensive nail salon and this was not okay. They agreed to paint over the maroon/pink color. They could not find that color so I picked out a new one. They were extremely rude and condescending the entire time I was at the salon. It is only two days later, January 2, and one of the gels has completely peeled off. The bottom of the gel is completely yellow and my natural nail is it's normal color. This business had an untrained and poorly performing manicurist. They refused to redo my gel manicure or give me my money back. Reported them to the better business bureau and the department of labor. This isn't about $30.00 it's about the principal and the lack of customer service. read more

Literally got harassed to leave a tip not how business is conducted if I want to tip I will gladly I shouldn't be harassed into tipping

I have been going to this salon for quite some time, going back to the previous owners. My favorite nail tech, Julisa left the salon or was asked to leave, by the current owners. I then went to a girl named Kitty, who also left the salon. Then started with Stephanie, who I have been with for a while. I usually get mani-pedi's in the summer, and for special occasions. Other wise, just weekly manicures, during the fall and winter. After my manicure this evening, I was told by the owner, that I can NO LONGER make an appointment for just a MANICURE, with Stephanie. The owner wants to accommodate the walk ins who want a mani-pedi or just a pedicure. If I like the way someone does my nails, I stay with them. They know me, I know them, and therefore I am comfortable. I make an appointment because, I certainly don't want whoever is available, which is what you get when you're a walk in. I can not believe the ODASITY of the owner, telling me I can NO LONGER make an appointment for, JUST A MANICURE with my usual manicurist. If I didn't tip my girl, it might make sense. I tip more than 40% of the manicure, BUT that's NOT money in the owners pocket! Pretty sad, when you can't go to a nail salon and have who you want do your nails!!! read more

The girl who did my mani was worst.. didn't even soak my hands and my cuticles looked worst when I left and she left nail color on my skin. I went in to inquire about getting a reservation for my 10 year old daughter and her friend for mani/pedis for their upcoming birthday the next day. There was a man behind the desk that I approached when I went in. I asked if there was a price for children's services and the man asked a woman inside if there was a special price for kids. She didn't answer in English. Then he asked me the age of the kids. I said 10. He said, clearly making it up as he went along, "ah no we have a special for kids like......ah 6? How big are they?" (I'm an average sized woman so I have no idea why he was asking a question like that.) I again said they are 10. He said, "but you know some 10 year olds are real big!" I told him they are average sized 10 year olds. He said, "oh ok we can do $25." I felt like I was buying a used car! I obviously didn't take the girls there. I found many other nail salons that clearly state prices for kids 10 or 11 and under, not 6 which is a crazy young age to have their kid prices set at! After reading the rest of the reviews stating how the place isn't clean I am actually glad that they practice shady pricing practices. I received a pedicure yesterday, a now-rare event for me as I have two small children. I selected my nail polish, as always, and went to sit. Unlike in most salons, the person attending to me did not take my nail polish when I sat down. As I was trying to get myself situated, I clumsily managed to knock the polish onto the floor, breaking the bottle and creating a disaster. Imagine my embarrassment! I apologized profusely for my accident and contemplated leaving or dying, but decided against both as leaving didn't seem fair and dying seemed unproductive. Imagine my further horror when the apparent owner of the salon informed me that I would be responsible for paying for the broken nail polish. I didn't argue, completed my pedicure, and paid as instructed- after all, I did break the bottle. But after this ordeal, let me assure you, I will not return. I can understand if I had intentionally thrown the bottle into the floor. I can understand if I was not watching one of my children and they threw a bottle on the floor! I am the the owner of a restaurant- this would be the equivalent me charging a customer for an accidentally broken glass! Silly to lose a potentially new customer in such a way. read more
