First let me start by saying everyone is very sweet that works here. But, the quality of what I have received with nail service hasn't been the best. I've 2x already and both times have been bad. Although this is normally a very good place to go to have a manicure and pedicure, today was different. For the over $80 I spent, it didn't take quite an hour to have both a manicure and pedicure. The care just wasn't present today. The massage wasn't as good as it normally is and even the manicure was subpar. All I had was a buffing on my nails and it wasn't as good as it normally was... the shine wasn't there. I've come here multiple times and haven't had a problem until now. I specifically asked for shellac on my nails, no manicure. I was hassled into getting one regardless. Then takes her sweet, slow time as I'm telling her my baby is waiting at home. An hour goes by only for her to do 4 coats of shellac with a top coat and then insisted on doing a 5th coat and another top coat. That's SEVEN coats of shellac on my nails. This location was ok. Definitely did not use "Buffers & Files ONE TIME USE ONLY" like their website claims. No massage device in the chair I used, I didn't even have a remote to control the chair itself. The nail shaping was something I could've done at home. The scrub smelled great but after applying it to my feet they dipped again and put the remainder on my hands/arms. I know it's my own feet but probably not the best practice, felt icky. Was asked to pay in the middle of the service, PLUS TIP. Definitely not used to that but I guess understandable. I was given the side eye and services were even stopped when the machine couldn't read the chip on my credit card. It worked after 3 tries but I still felt like a criminal for no reason. The nail technician was constantly cutting my skin with the electric file and leaving actual bloody wounds. Then, she proceeded to put some kind of alcohol that burned. I visited this salon purely because I had two Nails of America gift cards with this location listed on the back. The bails themselves were not very even and I was cut a few times and also did not receive what I asked for. The woman started adding glitter to my nails when I hadn't asked for it and insisted I wanted a different shape after she had messed up my original request. My friend I went with was also cut multiple times. They also did no actual manicuring just the nails which has never happened to me at countless other salons. When I was finished I wasn't even offered a sink to wash my hands in. Then, they refused to accept my TWO gift cards one of which was received the week before because apparently they are "independent from the company" meanwhile they are still listed on the gift card and called Nails of America. I ignored the reviews for this location and I have to say they were correct. I am infuriated. read more

Twice now I've had my nails done and WOW; I am impressed. Not only were/are my nails done up to a high standard, but the nail design on top is uncomparable. I get the powder nails done and they are done well here. They don't chip, or break like some of the other nail salons in the Woodlands. As for the nail art, show them any picture or tell them any idea you have for your nails and they will be able to paint it wonderfully. Not to mention, the receptionist walks around, offering free water, soda, ect. when there is no line at the front door. I do recommend. They do take walk-ins but it is much quicker to make an appt. read more

I'd been going here for at least three years probably four and only had a bad experience twice, I no longer have that technician. Lisa does my mani, (dip) and Lee dos my pedi. The salon is clean (they are constantly sanitizing surfaces, pedi chairs, counters.) the staff are just so welcoming and friendly. If you go here, and you probably shouldn't if you read the other reviews, do NOT have Jenny do your nails...unless you want them to look like a 5 year old painted them. There is polish all over my fingers, hangnails and pieces of skin hanging off that she didn't trim and there are actually spots in the polish that you can see through. Pathetic. She didn't even know how to properly give a manicure. She trimmed the skin on the sides and after she was done she pushed back my cuticles and left them...big chunks of skin that now have gel polish caked on them. WTH?! I am completely disgusted that I paid $62 dollars for my nails to look so horrific and that this salon employs people that do such poor quality of work. I'm sorry if this review is harsh but paying customers deserve to know what they're paying for/getting themselves into. Went in with my cousin today to get our "fake" nails. While my nails were done wonderfully my cousin had quite possibly the worst experience ever. You could see the "line" where her nail ended and the acrylic began bc the lady (Cindy) didn't take the white tip of her french manicure down far enough. Not only that her nails were uneven and slopped upward and had "bumps" because of poorly applied gel. Upon asking for a refund, not a redo bc my cousin didn't want anyone there touching her nails at this point, the male receptionist became very rude and refused to refund her money point blank, and had the audacity to blame my cousin for the bad manicure (she has very short nails). I am only giving two stars because my manicure was done well. I will NEVER return to this location. read more

Just paid $41 for a mani / pedi and they look worse than before I went in. I'm super pissed that I wasted my time and my money. Service was terrible, massage was a joke and they had to 'fix' my nails twice because apparently no one knows how to correctly apply paint there. They used almost empty bottles of goopy polish that clumped up on my nails and then treated me like I was crazy and they looked perfect. Great service but good luck getting your appointment time honored. I've been here three times total. The first time I called and made an appointment and showed up and maybe waited 10 minutes. No problem. The second time we walked in and they were able to take us in within a few minutes. Great. While I was there, though, I witnessed a phone call where someone made an appointment and then they called someone who already HAD an appointment and told them to come in 15 minutes later so they could basically accomodate the person who just called in. Not cool. The third, and final, time it was going to be three of us so I wanted to make an appointment to make sure we could all get service at the same time. He made the appointment. Called me back and pushed the appointment 15 minutes later and then when we showed up they seated us within 10 minutes but we sat there for so long with our feet soaking the water ended up cold. She was patient and kind. The man doing my pedi asked me what kind of pedi I wanted and handed me a menu of services. I chose the deluxe pedi that was $41. I also wanted shellac knowing that it would be an additional charge. The place I normally go charges about $15 extra for shellac. The pedi was nice and relaxing and the gentleman was also very nice. Fast forward to check out...my pedicure alone was $73! I questioned it and he told me the additional charge was for the shellac. $33 for shellac!? This doesn't include a tip! I couldn't believe it! My daughters mani/pedi was only $26 which is about what I have paid other places for her. But never in my life have I paid $73 for a pedicure with shellac. I wasn't going to short-change the people who did our services and gave them a decent tip. It is not their fault the man at the front (I am assuming he is the owner by the way he acted) ripped me off. But I will not be going back for any services. read more

This is the SECOND time i have gone in to pay almost 50 dollars for a manicure with shellac. Before coming here, my shellac ALWAYS lasted me a month, maybe more. Here? I got my nails done SUNDAY, and already THREE of them chipped off half way. Theres bubbles on nearly every nail, my thumb looks like i scraped it on gravel, and when i told the technitian doing my nails that i saw possibility of bubbles, or that my thumb looked weird...she just said no worry, and put basically another coat on. I went in on Thursday, two days before my senior prom wanting a full set acrylic put on my nails, mind you I have never gotten anything more than shellac. I asked for short, thin white tips and got thick, bumpy, uneven, long nails. There were black specks in the acrylic and you could see the glue from where the tip was attached. Some of the acrylic gel didn't even reach my cuticles! When I asked for a refund they refused and tried to fix it, but couldn't take me until the next day. When they "fixed" my nails, all they did was file them down and paint shellac over top, making them look even worse. Then, they tried to blame it on ME that my nails looked bad and that I didn't tell her what I wanted, when I did. I even called the corporate office trying to get a refund and he said I couldn't get one because I was satisfied with my toes... Then he said he would call the location and get back to me. 6 days later and still no call back. The nails were so bad, I went to another nail spa, Venetian nails (who did an outstanding job) to get them fixed. The lady took one look at my nails and toes and laughed at how horrible they looked. I had to get the nails completely removed and reapplied, and although she redid my toes for free, I had to pay another $45 to get them fixed after paying $66 at nails of America. I am NEVER coming back and letting everyone I know to NEVER go to this nail salon. Absolutely ridiculous service and extremely rude employees. My technician, Vivian, created a fantastic experience through providing exceptional care and comfort throughout the Pedicure. Although Vivian provided exceptional service, this particular Nails of America brings high quality customer care to the table starting with the bubbly receptionist greeting you at the door. Arriving early to my appointment, the receptionist made the waiting time fly with great small talk. In addition, the manager of the store and employees are extremely thoughtful of the customers and make sure you are taken care of and even offer free beverages. The uplifting and kind atmosphere of the salon truly adds to the experience to make it a personal one. I was highly satisfied with my pedicure, and for the price, it's a steal! I went there in the middle of October 2014 and had a pedicure. The lady said she could cut my ingrown toenail out. No problem, bc she had done it in the past for me. Afterwards, my toe became infected and I had to go to the podiatrist. They did a culture on my infection and turns out I had MRSA. I was placed on Bactrim for ten days and two more trips to the podiatrist, I'm good to go. However, I now have to keep a close watch on my toenail to make sure while it's growing back that it doesn't get ingrown. The pain that I experienced was the craziest pain ever! Terrible! My 12 year old daughter and her friend went there to have a little girl fun and get their nails done. They go in for a $15 mani and end up having to pay $43 for extra services. I had recently started looking for a new nail salon and found this one near my new gym. I told the girl at the front desk that I have had trouble with finding a new salon lately and the little difficulties I have had in the past with other nail salons. She (Katelyn) said that she would give me to the best tech they had (Thoa). She did a WONDERFUL job. I went back a few weeks later to get my nails done again. I was given to an older man to get a new set put on. I told him that I have thin natural nails and I prefer the techs to soak off the previous acrylics. He looked annoyed and reluctantly did a soaking. He drilled my natural nails so much that my middle finger on my right hand was blood red and throbbing. At the end I had a bloody cuticle from him drilling so much, three throbbing fingers, and the acrylic put on was ridiculously thin. I tried to explain it to the girl at the front desk, she had him wipe the blood off my finger... After all of that a few weeks later I noticed the acrylic was detaching from my nails. I didn't need a fill yet, not at all. But, I wanted the acrylics fixed so I didn't get some bacteria growth start up under the detaching acrylics. So, I called the shop and told the girl what was going on and I would like them fixed. (Every place I have gone before will fix the detaching acrylics for a minimal fee of maybe 5$). She insisted that i get a fill, even though i didn't want or need one (~20$). Hung up and found a new nail salon. read more
