A pedicure and a FILL.... a fill that they spent a whole 15 minutes doing. I never left the pedicure seat. They had me literally hurting myself!!! And I had to pay $157!!!!!!!!! great customer service to those who visit a lot. I am a very loyal customer. I requested Gel polish for feet and nails. Only received Gel polish on toes. The nail tech did not use the correct gel polish for my nails so now they are peeling off just 3 days after getting them done. as you can see they are two different colors. Well, I blindly walked into this salon because it looked gorgeous and there was no wait. It was Black Friday so assumed everyone was out shopping. I seriously NEVER try new places without reading reviews but did so out of convenience. 1) I asked for dip powder with tips. The guy "sold me" on solar powder which is basically acrylic. I asked several times if it was acryclic and he said no. So basically he was dishonest. 2) He told me my nails were too short for coffin shape which was unbelievable because I had coffin shaped with my NATURAL nails when they were shorter. So why can't you do it with tips??? 3) My nails were SO square I was NOT pleased. He "fixed" them with the drill (see photo) but the shape was so sporadic and not uniform and some were crooked. 4) My polish changed colors after about a week. It went from mauve to BROWN. Must be a cheap product. How and why would that happen? 5) I think my nails were too thin but thankfully they held up for 3 weeks with no breaks or cracks. Overall, not a great experience. Luckily for me my nails were presentable. They didn't LOOK horrible so that was consolation I guess. In conclusion, I would NOT recommend and would NOT return. read more

My husband booked me for the Royal pedicure as a Christmas gift. They don't do gift certificates, so he called and paid while I was getting the pedicure. My tech was a man with dermal piercings and tattoos on his forearm - I didn't get his name but he was awesome. This is a very clean business with quality pedicure chairs and even massage chairs for kids! I will say the pedicure was at the top end of cost at $60, and when I asked about gel polish he said it was an extra $15. It is a Christmas luxury, for sure, but great experience. Gave it a try on a limb. The atmosphere was nice, and the wait wasn't long. Was charged $30 for the acrylics and an extra $15 just to have them polished. I figured the acrylic price would include a Polish because it would look ridiculous without. The nail shapes are fine, but the paint job is pretty shoddy. You can see it in the picture I posted. I got a solid light pink color. I wouldn't recommend and will continue my search for a decent salon. read more

My experience was horrible. I left bleeding and all of my nails are crooked. I addressed the issue by phone and the manger hung up on me. I went back inside and asked to speak to the manager. I asked for a refund. His response was "never will that happen. No refund for you." He said this is a beauty service we don't give refunds. He said I can have someone else fix it for you. I said my fingers and my nails are hurting and I'm bleeding. Why would I want someone else messing with my nails? He response was "well that's your problem. Well...I found this place after several attempts at other establishments. (I was new to the area) The Pros- it's close to my house, the interior is designed as "modern bling", they have cookies and coffee/tea (but very seldom offer you any)its clean and the tech uses sanitary techniques, my tech (Annabella) is awesome and so friendly. The Cons-the major take away I would say is the price for service. They charge for EVERYTHING It's hard to believe that I got this same service for the last 2 years in Florida for $75 as opposed to their $105! I think if you get a combination service, a discount should come or maybe just don't charge the client to remove their polish... But Annabella is truly great! read more

I went here for the first time on my birthday. The place looks nice enough and the staff was friendly. However, after specifically requesting before the pedicure and manicure ever began that they be particularly careful because I am on blood thinners and have had chemotherapy within the last year she still managed to cut the cuticle on my toe. That alone upset me, but I understood accidents happen. So we move on to do my finger nails and she managed to cut not one, but 4 of my cuticles using the drill (I was not getting acrylics just gel polish on my natural nails) The work done was beautiful, but I will never return after that. I came here a year ago and was unhappy with the way the forced us to up-sale. Today I came back trying to give them another shot and was so unhappy I will never return. These are the results after I was told I had to do the $45 pedicure instead of the $35 pedicure bc the cheaper one didn't come with callus exfoliation. So this is exfoliation? And so sloppy with the paint. 3 of us wanted the most basic $35 pedicure and we were harassed to get the more expensive one. Even my husband who was getting no polish was told he needed the $45 one. There are many nail salons in Augusta. I recommend you find a different one. The person who did my nails was more concerned with people checking in than doing my nails. My nail tech kept forgetting to turn on the UV light and after I said - the lights not on she would turn it on. But she never let the full 60 seconds of light. I think she was trying to hurry me thru. Last thing that makes me never want to return- there was a black speck under my polish and she gouged at my nail with scissors to remove it. Then she refused to fix the nail. She said if the crack bothers me I could come back in a few days to get it fixed. Yes. The crack bothers me now. It really bothered me after I paid $50 for my gel nail. You wouldn't fix it the three separate times I asked her to fix my nail- but she refused. I walked out. Walked back in. Me and my daughter went here for a relaxing pedicure it was good but not perfect they didn't scrub my legs as much as I wanted them to, and the nails were a little bubbly. I went here to get a nail repaired. My nail cracked in the middle while I was wearing SNS. I told the technician that it was very sensitive, but had to pull my hand away multiple times from pain. I already felt high maintenance doing this, but it definitely made me feel worse as saw his annoyance grow each time I said it hurt. He finally just made me soak my finger in acetone while he did a pedicure and then came back. I understand a nail repair is only a $5 charge, but the new SNS he put on was bumpy and incomplete. I would've paid double if he simply acted like he cared and took the time to make it smooth. I will not be returning here for my nails. read more

Came in for a pedicure after having had moving and hauling all weekend long! My favorite place "Nail Spa" was way too crowded so I thought I'd give this place a try! (I'm always at Hello Poke anyway!) I went with Hot Stone pedicure with Mint Mimosa. After having had pedicures from other places, I can honestly say not all nail salons are not the same. The atmosphere is nice! There's relaxing spa like soundscapes playing continuously, pretty chandeliers, many nail and pedicure stations and even a kiddie corner! I not a big fan of leaving reviews that I think are under 4 stars but hey, you all would want to know right? I'll have to admit, I expected a moisturizer and hot stones on my actual feet in the pedicure but, here again some salons are different. My mint mimosa didn't feel at all minty or invigorating unfortunately and the polish I originally selected was too dark actually comparing to the swatch. I chose another lighter color and I was kinda expecting for a sample before all toes were completed just to be sure I was satisfied with the next color selected. All in all, the experience was ok and my pedicurist was nice and friendly. (I didn't catch his name). What a disappointment. I use to come here years ago. They've upgraded the decor and apparently their prices. I just got charged $55 for an SNS "dipping powder" fill-in, not a full-set. I don't mind paying for quality. The service was slow, but the young lady was nice. I asked for a specific shape, but I got an "almost, but not quite it" shape. At some point you just give up and realize this is not the salon for you. I tip well, and I don't expect rock bottom prices. What I do mind is paying extra for the length of my nails. The first thing that upset me about this salon was that they would not let my friend and I sit together, not because of Covid restrictions but because their workers were unwilling to move. Second, they submerged my hands in bags of acetone to remove the old polish and this dried my hands out completely. Then, I told the man doing my nails that I didn't like the shape of my nail and he explained to me that it wasn't the way he filed it, it was that my finger was crooked so the nail looked crooked. The place was the worst. I would come by this place before they expanded and it was decent but since their expansion I don't know what happened. I went here a week ago with my daughter and her friend. I called prior to showing up because we had already been waiting at another salon for 30 minutes. The owner told me there was no wait but that things could change over the coarse of 2 minutes. I literally got there in 3 minutes which appeared to have had 3 people waiting. Not a biggie. I wanted a pedicure and my daughter and her friend wanted full sets. After 5-10 minutes they sent me back to get started on my pedicure. Then about 15 minutes later another lady and the person she was with sat next me. Maybe 10 minutes later 2 people came and started their pedicures. I didn't say anything cause I didn't know if they had appointments. However during the conversation I heard the lady say it was a last minute decision to get their nails done. Needless to say I sat in the chair for 40 minutes before someone came, if my friends daughter had not already started her full set I was ready to put on my shoes and walk out. Why would you tell me there's no wait and then put TWO people who came after me ahead of me! Then the lady that did my pedicure had the nerve to try and explain it away by saying they were short staffed, which may have been the case, but that still didn't negate the fact that these 2 people were being serviced before me. Anywho as I'm checking out I told the lady I was also paying for my daughter who is still in the chair. The freaking owner tried to tell the lady I was also paying for her friend. First of all stay out my damn pockets. If I can say that I'm paying for my daughter who's still in the chair, why would I not say I'm paying for her friend too, who was at the drying station. Better yet if I were trying to scam I could've just said I was paying for myself. Needles to say I will never come back to this place. I own 4 small business shops on Etsy and I pride myself on giving all my customers awesome customer service and this was just awful. What was the point of expanding if they weren't going to staff correctly, just hideous. The last couple times I came in here I was told different prices for various things. They let their nail techs do and charge whatever and different prices. $115.00 for a pedicure and a fill.. This time $50.00 for a $30.00 fill due to gel nail polish removal which he sanded off in a couple minutes with tool and $5.00 he said for nails they called extra long but are surely not... an extra $20.00 told about it when about to pay. Doesnt add up.. I could have just paid extra to have gel nail polish. They are sneaky and slick. Nail tech didn't want to even file or shape my nails square rounded.. Told me I had to get new set from this already new set or cut nails and be charged for each nail cut. What happened to old school nail jobs where filing to shape nails was included? Where technicians took pride in their work not just rush and do what they want instead of what is requested. May as well get rid of your lying price list in brochure. Customers should be told and know in advance if additional charges are going to be charged so they have an option, a choice to say yes or no... not when about to pay and leave then they hear all the additional charges the nail tech added during the service but without saying a peep or asking a paying customer who y'all should respect and treat the way you want yourselves, and your loved ones to be treated. What about the customer who doesn't have 1 penny over the price of service they came to receive? They have a fair right to know before being charged anything extra. Every customer does. Even y'all who work at this shop. You all shop somewhere. How would you feel if you were treated the way your customers are treated wherever you all shop?? Remember you reap what you sow. This place is cheating people and price gouging instead of treating customers with dignity and right. They play innocent and like the customer doesnt know what is going on and if the customer questions or calls them on their crookery they act like the customer is wrong. Where is your integrity??? Greed instead of honoring those who pay and give you their hard earned money. Almighty God in Christ Jesus' Holy name is going to deal with this place for crooked business practices. Repent! I went in yesterday to get both my nails and my toes done. The pedicure was decent, I can't really complain about that, other than the staff was pretty unfriendly. I also got a full set. The lady that did my nails seemed to be in some sort of a rush, and didn't really care much about the quality of the work she was doing. By the time she was done, my nails were uneven, and chipping. I went back in to see if I could get someone else to fix them, but she jumped in, very angrily, and insisted that it was my fault for "moving under the uv light". She then tried to file them down a little more and reapply the gel top coat. I still am left with uneven and lifting nails. Not happy. read more
