Gel manicure after 2 days
Camille W.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went in on Thursday for a gel manicure and pedicure. The older gentleman in the front did my manicure. He wasn't rushing and seemed to be taking his time. I'm it sure what the issue is with the gel polish, but this is what my nails look like TWO days later. Yes, this is what my nails look like on Saturday after having gotten them done on Thursday. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the pedicure was pretty good. I will never get a manicure from this place again. I wasted $30 on a gel manicure. I should've went somewhere else. Also, the pedicures here are different from other places I've been. This place doesn't include the callous removal in the basic pedicure. It's $5 more. Any other nail salon includes the callus remove (where they scrub your feet/heel) in the basic pedicure and the price increases with additions such as massage, scrubs, stones, etc. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going here. The prices are nice, but the quality isn't there.

What I requested .

I came in on a friday early for a ombre full set the owner actually did my nails and she was very rough she hurt me several times . And when I asked her to correct her mistake she blew it off as if I wasnt seeing it . I wont be back i paid $60 for something that wasnt worth it . I will also attach the picture of what I requested. (It looked nothing like it) Im so sad, literally loved this place before I dont know what happened but seriously do not recommend.

Acrylic nails after one week.

I'd like to start off by saying that I rarely speak up about my bad experiences because things happen sometimes and everyone has their own struggles BUT this was by far the worst nail salon and experience I've ever had. I was super stoked to get my nails done and treat myself , which doesn't happen often because I have two young children. Right after I was done I wasn't thrilled about the results( small bumps and lumps) but I let it go. About halfway through the week they started to look really sad and outgrown with one nail popping off slightly. I politely called and asked if they could fix them and she said I needed to come in. So I packed up my two month old and headed in. (This is where it gets good) She took one look and proceeded to tell me that my nails looked that way because My nails were growing. I tried to explain to her that I have never had outgrown nails as quick as this. She told me they absolutely would not fix them and didn't care. At this point everyone is looking at me trying to calmly explain the situation. She proceeds to tell me they look bad because I have kids I'm caring for. She takes it a step further and mocks me in front of other technicians and clients. I'm an exhausted mother just trying to have a few moments of relaxation and pampering and ended up crying in front of a group of strangers. To make it even better the person talking to me was the OWNER. Kim I don't know if you're hurt, miserable or just money hungry but you should never treat your customers like that. I sincerely hope that you find happiness and realize how unprofessional and hurtful that experience was. I will never return and urge others to avoid at any and all costs!! There are salons out there that provide better service, quality and care. This is not one of them.

Kim is amazing. Gets the nail shape PERFECT every single time. My nail anxiety is completely gone with her.

Everyone giving them a five star review is lying. They're mean and cheap here. Don't care about their customers.

UPDATE!!!! I just went a year later, and the experience was…read morejust as good! This is definitely the best nail bar around here!! The atmosphere when you walk in is very exquisite. There's beautiful sky portraits on the ceiling and colorful light displays throughout the nail salon. The staff were all VERY kind and greeted us immediately! The lady who did my nails was very kind and we had a great conversation! She was knowledgeable about a lot of the questions I had when it came to my nails. She did an excellent job and went above and beyond to have my needs met. I would not only recommend this place to my friends and family, I plan on going back for a lot time to

The nail tech I had previously was not available, that should have been a sign. The tech I had was rough-which is an understatement. She took the dip off my toes with a nail file instead of soaking them off. She cut my cuticle and the sides of my toes several times. I know there is a language barrier but "ouch!" is a common word. She'd nod and go right back to it. I kept asking if someone else was going to do my fingers and she shook her head no. I asked the tech if they had OPI products. She brought me a book but it was all numbers and not color names. I asked if they had Lisbon and she brought me several containers of colors which, surprise, was NOT OPI. I chose a color as close to Lisbon and went with it. When she did my fingers, she kept cutting my cuticles. I pulled my hand back several times to look at the bleed marks. She kept going. The tech was very messy in applying the dip. I left with as much product around my cuticles and down my fingers as I had on my nails. I asked her for a gel top coat. Instead she applied the normal drying liquid. When I asked her about the gel, she put the gel on top of the other liquid and now my finger nails are sticky and feel gummy. I considered going back but with the way my cuticles feel and look, I know I couldn't handle any nail polish remover without more pain. A few days later and everything I touch hurts. I know this seems minor and like a champagne problem but your nails shouldn't hurt or look like mine do. My cuticles are all cut up and where I had to pull the dip off my fingers is raw and bright red. The search for a good nail salon in the area continues. Smyrna Nails is not it.

I had such a great experience at LA Nails today!…read more The manicure was incredible. My technician, Mifa, did an amazing job! She was kind and patient. She took her time to do good quality work while still working quickly. I asked fit a specific design and she delivered. The facilities themselves were very nice and clean. It was bright and airy and relaxing. A woman who was there while I was had her two kids with her and the staff were so kind and warm to them. I will absolutely be back to this place. Apparently there are new owners here and it really seems like they have turned this place around. I love my nails and the people that were working there today.

I told the technician from the beginning that I hadn't touched my nails in 6 months because they were finally healthy after past damage and fungal issues from improperly applied tips (all of them!) I only stopped here because of their hours, but I truly wish I hadn't. Despite sharing my concerns, including past issues with fungus due to tips not being glued properly, I was completely dismissed. The technician's "solution" was to just add glue after the nails were already done. Does not help! It's careless. There was no accountability, and no effort to truly listen. These nails are not worth $90 (Basic pink full set). I feel ripped off--both in time and money! Now I have to waste even more time getting them removed and hope I don't end up with more damage or another infection. I kept my cool during the appointment, but I walked out feeling completely unheard and taken advantage of. Never again! Business Owner I expect for you to contact me and respond to this review being read. The same way I will be contacting you directly.
