Great place to get a pedicure, but skip the nails. I got gel nails after about a year of natural nails. I asked the guy to NOT use the Dremel. Power tools damage your nails!! He grabbed my hand and used it anyway, he said" just a little bit". Its interesting how many nail techs no longer know how to file, shape and buff without a power tool. I got gel nails. 3 of them are thick and bumpy and now are chipping in less than 2 weeks. The nail tech assured me gel last 4 weeks...which I know is not true...it last 2 weeks, unless you get it done here, then not even 2 weeks. read more

I had a great first experience at this place! The woman who gave me my pedicure did a fantastic job. My nails looked great. The price was reasonable and even included a scrub in the basic pedicure package. I added on getting callus removing and my feet went through an amazing transformation! Very happy with the service I received. I've been back a few more times since then. Most of my experiences have continued to be good. Except, one time the nail tech wasn't listening to my concerns about a gel nail light burning (a mild/moderate stinging pain) my hands. Eventually I told her I didn't think I could stand it any longer and she put me in a new one. One visit, I got 3D gel nails done and they turned out really cool! They lasted perfectly for two weeks. I'm such a big fan of wearing the gel nails! I can't believe how fast they dry. The down side is after the removal process, my nails looked roughed up. read more

My girlfriend and I made appointments to have pedicures together yesterday. We got to the spa right on time and signed in at the front. There were a decent selection of polish choices and a TON of gel polish choices. The interior was nice and everyone who worked there was cute & trendy. The lady who did my friend's pedicure, Birdy, told us we could go ahead and soak our feet. We sat down at two pedicure chairs and she offered us something to drink. We chose white wine. Sal (pronounced Saul) did my pedicure. Both were friendly and asked us what we would like. I've had numerous manicures/pedicures where they don't ask if you want your nails trimmed, how you want them shaped, etc. They both paid a lot of attention to detail and spent a decent amount of time on our feet. We both chose the Serenity pedicure for $40. This was a basic pedicure ($30) with an added salt scrub, wax dip, and hot towel wrap. It was worth the extra $10. Sal did a great job. My feet feel and look nice. One thing I really liked is that he scrubbed my feet enough but not so hard that it tickled like crazy. He did a great massage too. Of course I always want that part to last forever but I feel like he massaged my feet for a pretty decent amount of time. I will definitely go back and request Sal because he gave me the best pedicure I've had in a long time. read more

Today was my first time at Serenity, and it was great! My mother and I got pedicures and a gel manicure, and both services were executed perfectly. The staff was friendly and polite, and went out of their way to ensure that every customer was comfortable and satisfied. They spent more time on massage than any other nail salon I've visited; my manicure ended in a relaxing hand, arm, AND quick shoulder/back massage! I'll definitely be back to Serenity, and it seemed as though many clients there today were loyal and repeat visitors. :) read more

I had a signature (basic) pedicure here today, and it was amazing!! They were busy, but they let me wait in the massage chair with my feet soaking instead of in the lobby area. The salon is clean, the massage chairs seem new! Kim was my nail tech, and she was awesome! Very detailed, friendly but not too chatty (which I prefer, I like to zone out!) Her leg and foot massage was the BEST PART!!! Great pressure, it included a little reflexology as well. The entire service was really wonderful. Even a little scrub (sugar? salt?) before the massage. Pretty great for the basic pedi! Oh and I asked for my nails to be very short, and she made it happen. Usually nail techs don't want to cut or make my nails as short as I prefer. The "dip" manicure outshines even the best gel manicures!!! Dries almost instantly, very quick and No UV light needed!!! The pedicure was amazing as well! I'm a bit of a germ-a-phobe and the plastic covers in the pedi tubs made me feel much less "ew" about it. I purposely avoid a pedicure as long as possible because of the tubs grossing me out (yes even at immaculately clean places, it just gives me the icks) but the cleanliness plus plastic covers deserve a double high-five! For the service I got here, it would've cost at least $15 more near Chicago! Really helped the stiffness from my 8 hour drive the other day. I loooved this place. Today was my first time in there and I went for a pedi. I got Ms. Kim and she's soo nice. They have 4 different pedi types and I got #1 (the basic) in case I wasn't going to be happy with it . I was surprised to see the basic came with a sugar glow scrub and she did some reflexology that I apparently desperately needed. She was very detailed in taking care of my feet which is appreciated more than she knows because I'm working on my feet all of the time. The website doesn't seem to be updated as it says the basic pedi is $25 but it's $30 which I gladly paid + tip. Highly recommend this place. I always passed and thought it might be to expensive for me because of the location. But I read the reviews on here and decided to try it out. Glad I did. read more

I had an appointment and still waited 40 minutes before someone touched my toes for my pedicure. They then rushed to get my pedicure and manicure over with. Considering how much their prices are (and that you have to add $20 for gel polish) I will never be back to this nail salon. Other people in my party were cut with a drill while getting their nails done and their nails were filed super crooked. We would have been better off doing our own nails at home. I cannot warn people enough to avoid this salon. It is not worth the money as the services are so poor. read more

I went in for a basic pedi and a fill, they charged me $95, they had charged me extra for things they didn't tell me till the end. my nails are NO WHERE CLOSE TO $95 worth of work! I will not be back to this nail salon. I originally wanted a full set with a manicure. I wanted to go from my normal gel manicure to get acrylic nails for my upcoming birthday. I wanted a little dramatics for the celebration and asked for a ballerina shape or a slight coffin shape. They wanted to charge 8.00 additional for a shape when I am getting a full set. Then the price for a manicure was outrageous. I had one nail that needed repair they charged me 5.00 for that one nail to be repaired and refused my option to add nail glue to keep it from splitting. Instead he puts a barely there application of acrylic for 5.00! I then decided I no longer wanted them to do a full set. Since they were nickel and dime you to take gel off 4 nails, a manicure and just to shape your nails after applying them. I got my natural nails painted and it is a horrible job. The paint is bubbly. They did not have nail spray to assist in drying. They stuck me in the back with a timer and sitting there for almost 25 minutes they still were not fully try. My nails were painted better by my 8 year old with her nail set. The paint job was rushed, they did not offer the complimentary beverage, and they had attitudes. Only one young lady came back to check on me only after she overheard me telling my daughter we will not be back, when I was getting up to leave because I was tired of sitting there. DONT DO IT!! I went in there today for a refill.... I asked for matte black gel and a rose gold sparkly nail one one finger each..I also asked for the coffin shape and for the nails I already had on to be trimmed a little.... not one did she compare fingers to make sure they were the same length and shape which I thought was weird bt I figured hey this isn't my job idk how to do nails so I sat there quietly and patiently.... I'm not one to complain or write bad reviews bt it wasn't until I got in the car and really looked at my nails and realized I had just paid $50 and tipped $10 for pure trash!! I went back in there and instead of someone coming up to me and asking what was wrong I had to shout across the room so everyone could hear me ... the lady who did my nails had an attitude after I had told her what was wrong bt my nails were all different lengths, they were all different shapes and the glitter nail you could see through to where u could see my natural nail underneath . She asked me if I wanted the glitter darker I said yes so she proceed to throw some ORANGE glitter on top I said that's not even the same color and she said something to a coworker in another language and he came up and told me I would have to Pick another color bc the one I used was out... so I asked why that wasn't said to me when I picked out the color in the first place .. at that point I just wanted my money back I asked multiple times and was told no ... she sat me down and "fixed" them if that's what u want to call it . I'm still furious and very unhappy !! Would never recommend to anybody!! the first pictures are the first time they were done and what the model nail looked like and the bottom was after they were filed and "fixed" you can even see the orange she tried to slap on top of my first nail color bc she didn't bother fixing them the correct way to make a client happy wow I'm still in shock at the horrible service I received today ! Vanessa is hands down the best nail technician/manicurist in Murfreesboro. You would think she was a podiatrist as in several instances has proved herself to be better than MD's I have been to in the area. In my opinion, she IS the epitome of Serenity Nails, and they should cherish and reward her for her expertise in her craft. read more

Place looks nice inside and the staff is okay. Just like normal nail places they stare blankly at you when you first walk in and ask how they can help you. I got my acrylics off and wanted clear nail polish to keep my nails from damaging. Sadly, two days later my clear nail polish has already come off and I didn't like the soaking I had to do to get my acrylics off. Other places just cut it off. read more

I've been to serenity a few times now mainly with friends and never loved it but this last visit has set me over the edge. I usually get dip powder but decided to get gel nails this time for a short vacation. When I walked in, the manager asked if I wanted a manicure and I said no I would just like gel polish. He asked me once again and I told him no, just gel! I get my nails done and the lady gives me a hand massage at the end which I thought was weird because I didn't want a manicure. I get ready to pay and my total is $45 for gel nails!!! Gel nails are usually $25 but they charged me $10 for that lil massage (manicure) that I said I didn't want in the first place, then she charged me $10 more for having to take the dip powder off. No one let me know I was getting all these up charges when all I wanted was plain gel polish! I spoke to the manager and he said I should have let her know that I didn't want a manicure and I said what was the purpose of you asking me that twice when I came in if you were not going to relay the message to your technician. Moral of the story, every time I go I am highly disappointed with either the customer service or my nails. I do not recommend this place to anyone! I will not be back here.. EVER! read more

The worst experience ever! I just left totally pissed off that I had to pay $9 for a bottle of nail polish that fell and broke as I was browsing their nail polish spinner. It apperantly was not on there properly so when spun it fell. I was with my other 2 sisters and we were prepared to have full mani and pedi each. A snobbish girl came from the back as another lady was cleaning and said I always charge them for it. What?! It was accidental and she looked at me and said who dropped it and I explained and she said you can pay for it after service. Are you kidding me! I made my sisters get up from their chairs and paid them their $9 and left. They were so rude about it and lost 3 full service customers for a bottle of polish. Poor customer service to say the least, DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Trust me there are plenty of other nail places in Murfreesboro to take your business to. read more

I went with a large group last weekend and the prices were a little more than anticipated but they came down on the price because there were so many of us. I got the guy who works there doing my pedicure and he was amazing and i would definitely go back to him because he took his time and did a good job. The girls that worked there and did a few of my family members, were fast and sloppy. One of the girls even got cut by one of the nail techs. For the price it should be perfect and it wasn't. I went there today for a gel manicure. I was happy with all the color choices they had. Some nail salons don't have enough to choose from. The only complaint I have is when I was soaking my hands in the water bowl the water was warm and not super hot like other places. Plus some other places put your hands in hot towels too but I was at least satisfied with the finished product at the end. read more

No painful pedicures here. If you've ever been jabbed or cut during a pedi,, youll know what I'm talking about. My daughter, daughter-in-law, and I each got mani-pedis. We were given neck and shoulder massages after our manicures. I highly recommend Vy and Vanessa. They were very knowledgeable and attentive. Also the pedicure my boyfriend got the girl did just enough to get it done and he asked to receive more than the basic. I have decided not to return to serenity nail spa due to the staff performing nail services too fast, rough, and sloppy. I appreciate them trying to get the job done quickly however I would rather be there longer and have them take their time to decrease the Knicks and cuts that i have experienced. They have made going to get my nails done painful and rushed instead of relaxing. I will say that I have had a positive experience with their pedicures. I've been going to this nail salon for quite a while. Haven't been there for a while so after telling my daughter what a great place it was we went... . The man that sits at the front should have given us our money back. She was pressured into a $40 pedicure. The lady that did my nails was very rude and asked me how short I wanted my nails, I responded with "What do you think" and she spoke loudly back to me and said "how short do you want your nails!!!!! It was very rude and inconsiderate ...then she spilled nail polish on me and looked at me like it was my fault. She was laughing and I was rather loud and very upset because I've never had an experience like that there. She did glitter over four nails and when you hold them up to the sun you can see right through them.....she would not put more polish on them just one coat. Last, but not in any special order her nail sponge went flying at me down into my lap. After I was loud and very very upset and told her what I was feeling and how a customer should be treated especially when you are paying to get a service and should never be pressured into a service that you do not want. If I had known my daughter was pressured into a $40 pedicure when she gets them done once a month and has never been Told her that her feet needed it and my daughter is a really special person and just wanted to leave she is so upset also... she never got her nails done and they put other people in front of her. My girlfriends go there because I told them about it a long time ago ....well I will be letting everyone know what poor service we got today. I would never step foot back into that place ever again and honestly in all my years of getting my nails done I have never been treated like that and for the man that has always been nice to me to treat me the way he was treating me today ..I am honestly sitting in my truck not believing what just happened and to top it off my daughter did not get her nails done. She got her feet done, I got my nails done and they put someone else before my daughter to get her fingernails done. My family are my world and for you people to do this I can only stay I truly believe in karma 100%... shame on you Serenity nails... I guess you just got too big for your britches.....I am giving a one just because there's no option for a zero.
