Jennifer is SO AWESOME!!! I went for my first appointment with her a few days ago, and man am I happy! I can't stop looking at my cute nails. I am originally from Orange County, so I am insanely spoiled with the seemingly thousands of options for nail salons. I really like blinged out nails with gems, designs, hand painted art, etc. and often would go to specialty salons to get these done. Once I moved to the central coast, I was pretty sad that I wouldn't be able to treat myself to anything but normal gel polish anymore. I went to a few places, but I wasn't really "wow"ed by any of them. Cue my appointment at Nails Depot! I picked a pretty simple design from the Yelp gallery because I wasn't sure exactly how detailed her designs could get. Imagine my happiness when she pulls out a HUGE box of glitter, and has a ton of gems and charms in the shop! I was so excited! On top of that, Jennifer is super nice and entertaining. The shop is also extremely clean, with plastic liners in the pedicure tubs and individual sterilized pouches for her nail tools. If all that wasn't awesome enough, she was able to give me gel nails with gems and designs in UNDER AN HOUR! Granted I didn't have anything to take off previously, but I have never had my nails done that fast. Ever! I am so happy that I found this little gem. I have never had a more pleasant mani, pedi. Jeni did a fabulous job and we talked the entire time. I love the fact that she works by appointment only. She is such a caring person. Even though I was a 1st time customer she is going to research plants to ease my migraines and gave me dandelion tea to help me sleep. I mean, who does that for a perfect stranger? Total waste of money . I got charged 60 dollars for a simple acrylic gel set . I did not like the end results either . I asked for a matte set and she even put the gloss on top of a crystal ( which is wrong, since matte goes first then the crystals ) . Will not be coming back here . Also, it took super long just for her to get my SHORT acrylic set finished. If I could put 0 stars, I would. UPDATE: they urged me by message to take this review off trying to make me feel bad about saying how I feel about her work. I did not think that was fair. Still feel completely the same about this place. My nails lasted 1 week . The gems fell off that same day. read more

Pro: Jennifer is really friendly and does not shy away from making conversation, the salon is clean and there are a lot of color selections. Con: Jennifer is the only person in the salon so it takes a long time if there are multiple people waiting for her, I felt like she rushed through my pedicure, I had a broken nail so she offered to fix it and she removed my gel nail polished, I wished she would have mentioned how much more it was going to be. ($10 to remove & $5 to fix broken nail) I was going to have to pay regardless but it would have nice to know in advance. Overall: Jennifer is nice and friendly but it came out to be a little expensive for a mani and pedi ($50) and if I am going to pay that much I rather go to a place where it's not going to take 2 hours. This place is a diamond in the rough. We were visiting from L.A. and looking for a good salon. Jennifer is a one-woman show, but don't let that dissuade you. She is very capable and efficient, as well as very friendly and accommodating. She took our appointments 1 hour before the parade which travels down Broadway, right past her salon (which meant that she was trapped until the parade ended 2+ hours later). She has been in business for 16 years and her expertise very apparent. I love this place and would definitely return. read more

Jennifer has been doing my gel nails for many years. A couple times in the past I tried other shops because I live at the extreme south part of Santa Maria and thought I'd save time not coming into town. But I was disappointed and my nails and cuticles suffered sorely. So I'm back to stay with her as long as I can drive (or Uber in!) and as long as she's working her shop. She knows what she's doing to keep your nails healthy and looking top-notch! She is talented, pleasant, and her prices are very fair! She's a one-woman operation so appointments are recommended but she is amazing at fitting in drop-ins. I went in to make an appointment and ask for pricing on gel nails. Jennifer has a wide selection of colors to choose from that I was debating for a bit on which color I wanted. This is my 2nd time getting my nails done. I was very hesitant because my first time (not from here) it hurt when I got my nails done. It didn't hurt at all, she's friendly and funny! She brings up a conversation if there's silence for a while. I will definitely be coming back to get my nails done again or fill them in. Only thing I have to say is definitely make an appointment ahead of time. I'm not sure how long it on average to get gel nails but it took about an hour for her to do mine. read more

I have been coming here for over 12 years now, at times I do go to her husbands shop in A.G or San Luis when need be. It's amazing how Jennifer will accommodate my appointment, even staying late and around the holidays having her husband come help so I can make it in after hours after work. Now who does that? The main lady here, the owner I think, was so great. She helped my mom with arthritic hands, giving her an "off menu" hand massage and gave her salon pas patches that I think she had for her personal use. Very genuine, caring lady. I was super grateful to find this place! I was in town for a death in the family, when I decided to get a gel manicure and pedicure. Jennifer was able to fit me in that same day, and she was so kind. I appreciate how the pedicure bowl was lined in plastic, for customer sanitation and safety. My mani/pedi are doing great after one week. NO CHIPS. Total waste of $85 dollars. Very upset, because she did a TERRIBLE job. Nails look bumpy, uneven and crooked. Nail polish looks like if I my 4 year old would of done it. I've done my nails a number of times, never have I ever seen anybody dip your finger in podwer and then file the nail down. Horrible job. Very mad cause paid $85 dollars for ugly nails. I thought I was getting my nails done by a professional, not a trainee. I ask her to fix one nail, and she answered back with attitude I'm not done yet.
