The pedicure was fine, but the wait was not. It could have just been a busy/understaffed afternoon, but what have taken under an hour took nearly two. I was directed to a pedicure chair when I came in, but then not talked to or attended to at all for 20 minutes. It was another 10 before someone turned on the water, which turned cold before my manicurist got around to me. The color choices were limited. You don't pick them out from the wall of bottles, but instead are given display books & swatch rings that were pretty worn. I was suggestively pushed to gel by everyone I interacted with and not ever exactly told which colors were available in regular polish. The pedicure was fine. The price was fine. The attendant was a little rough moving my legs around, but nice otherwise. I wouldn't ever deter anyone from coming here, but there's a lot of nail salon options available, so I'm going to try others. read more

I've been coming to this salon for quite some time, but unfortunately my last few experiences have really gone downhill. I've been placed in the same broken massage chair more than once, but my biggest issue has been with one particular pedicure technician. I don't know her name, but I've had her several times now and each experience has been uncomfortable. She makes faces and gestures while doing my feet that make me feel judged, and she repeatedly tries to push the more expensive pedicure services even after I've already decided what I want. I've tried the upgraded services before and personally don't notice enough of a difference to continue paying for them. This last visit, I chose regular polish instead of gel and was suddenly told there would be a $5 gel removal charge. I understand salons may have additional fees, but I would appreciate those fees being communicated clearly beforehand rather than finding out during the service. More concerning is that I've had actual pain after pedicures with this technician. She digs deeply around the sides of my toenails trying to remove what she says are ingrown nails, and my toe is still hurting from my most recent appointment. The previous time she did my pedicure, the tips of my toenails were so tender/cracked afterward that even bumping them against something made it feel like the nail was going to rip. I've had pedicures for years and this has not been a recurring problem for me with other technicians. What's frustrating is that my manicure during the SAME visit was completely different. I wish I had gotten that technician's name because she was wonderful. She wasn't overly talkative or giving some exaggerated customer-service performance--she was simply polite, relaxed, did my nails nicely, and somehow we naturally vibed. That's honestly all I want when I go to a nail salon. I don't expect anyone to entertain me or have a long conversation with me. I just want to be treated politely, not feel judged, receive the service I asked for without being pressured into upgrades, and leave without my toes hurting. After being a customer here for a while, I'm disappointed that something I used to enjoy has started feeling like an appointment I dread depending on which technician I get. read more

I honestly don't know how this place is still in business. I came in for a soak-off and a basic manicure. Unfortunately, the technician was extremely rough and actually cut me twice during the service. What made it even more disappointing was that the manicure was barely a manicure. My hands were soaked in water, but my cuticles were never properly pushed back or trimmed, there was no hand massage, and she simply filed my nails before finishing. For such a minimal service, I was shocked to receive a $45 bill I was traveling out of town and chose this salon because it was nearby, but I completely regret it. While I was there, another customer actually walked out in the middle of her appointment, and the staff were arguing with each other, making the entire atmosphere uncomfortable and unprofessional. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service and nail salon experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this salon. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! If i could give it zero i absolutely would! DO NOT COME HERE I repeat! I heard stories of this place and i still wanted to give them a try. That was a mistake. I asked for a express pedicure and the lady tried to upsell me. Ive always had this weird feeling that when you do anything express, they get offended and will rush! Which will cause accidents and this time it happened! The lady cut within 2 seconds of starting! I hopped right outta that chair so fast!! Dont come here !!! ZERO STARS read more

The service was fast and my pedicure looks good ($47). However, the place definitely felt very dirty. If they had a good cleaning workflow added to their daily routine I could be a regular here. Unfortunately, it just felt off. read more

I've been looking for a decent nail place in Santa Maria, and this one misses the mark. Annoyed nail techs, very dirty. I made an appointment for a gel mani/pedi, at the same time. They seemed annoyed that I wanted that, even though I called a few days prior to make the appointment. Very persistent on trying to upsell me on every service. Nails chipped 2 days later, even with build a gel. Maybe the product they used was expired, but I've never had a gel manicure chip so fast. Tried to call to get them to fix it, and they didn't let me make an appointment. Just told me to come in whenever and hung up on me. Very rude. I won't be back read more

I would NEVER recommend this place! The girl over cut my cuticle and she was so rude and making gagging noises about my feet. Now I'm praying I don't get an infection! She was putting all the over cut cuticle on top of my feet and saying it was gross. I mean it is but that's why I was getting a pedicure. If I could give a 0 I would read more

I've been coming here since July and it's been a great experience. They have a huge selection of gel polish colors, which I love, and their prices feel on point for the area. I usually go to Dion, who is amazing, but today I had a different technician and they were just as wonderful. Every tech I've encountered here has been friendly, detail-oriented, and does a great job. Highly recommend if you're looking for quality nails and a reliable salon! read more

Tried this place a few times. Not sure why I kept going back when I wasn't pleased with the service. All three times for a gel builder fill - they would trim the skin around my nail. Not the cuticle but cut my skin in chunks. They were never really clear on where to sit and who was doing what service for me. They often made me feel the confusion was my fault. Their ability for great designs kept me coming back. Found a different place in town that fit my needs better. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. During my appointment, my nail technician over-filed my natural nails so aggressively that my nail bed was damaged. My nails are now extremely thin, painful, and one of them even appears to be lifting and peeling from the damage. I've never had this happen before, and it's going to take months for my nails to grow out and recover. I understand that mistakes can happen, but proper nail care should never leave a client's natural nails damaged. I hope the salon provides better training and is more careful in the future so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

This was the worst nail salon experience I've had in Santa Maria. I decided to give them a try, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The technician was rough while working on my nails and came across as incredibly rude. On top of that, the quality of the work was poor, and my nails did not turn out well at all. Several of my coworkers had previously warned me not to go there because they had bad experiences as well, and now I understand why. I am not usually someone who leaves negative reviews, but in this case, I felt it was important to share my experience. read more

I usually go to MIA she's on vacation, so I thought I would give Bella another tried I was mistaken she's not professional at all she took my nails off cut my real fingernail it was bleeding and she didn't say a word or apologize and put a nail over my cut. Laughing yelling joking that she gave me a huge headache. This isn't the first time she cut someone she also did this to my daughter. I love Mia Chloe and Connie I would only go to them. I will be contacting labor law to show them my cut in the middle of my nail it hurts extremely. Also to see if her license is updated. Please be careful that's how infections happen. You're not funny at all Bella. 55.00 I had to pay for you cutting me. read more

This is by far the dirtiest nail salon in SM. I have witnessed the rudest workers to customers. I have watched the workers inflate prices if they feel the slightest inconvenience. They do not care about customers or thier complaints because no matter what happens ppl keep coming back. I have found a nail tech who does a pretty good job but will not fix crooked nails that she glued on. They will not honor your request if they feel it isnt worth thier time. Thier equipment is filthy. The workers are especially rude to thier reception. read more

Horrible experience. My sister went to get her nails done and the nail tech she had was so rude to her. Asked her if she could afford her set of nails and said if she couldn't afford them, told her to leave. Those were her birthday set, mind you. she left crying. The lady cut her 3 times while cutting her cuticles in the same spot and dug her nails in the cut. seriously don't understand what was that ladies problem. The nail set came out horrible as well. My sister asked for a cat eye and left with glitter smeared on her nails. So beyond terrible. read more

I've been coming here twice a month for over a year. Today was my last time, I've had a lot of bad experiences here, I honestly don't know why I kept coming back. Today I came in and showed the nail tech the design I wanted. She said she could do it. I asked for builder gel. She said gelx would be better because one of my nails was crooked. I also asked her to trim my nails but she said she wouldn't be able to do the design on short nails. In the end she wasn't able to do the design I asked for because she ran out of the color I wanted. So now here I am with long gel x nails and no design. This was my last straw. read more

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I went yesterday, I think I had Tammy and she cut my thumb, and instead of having me clean my finger or even dab up the blood she just put nail glue automatically over the blood and cut. Extremely unsanitary and potential infection incoming so thanks for that! She was 10 minutes late, was sick and kept coughing and clearing her throat throughout the whole appointment, and kept taking breaks to stop my nails so she could gossip to her coworker instead of being able to talk and do her services at the same time. She also couldn't get the shape I wanted correctly after asking to fix it twice. With her constantly fixing it, it trimmed down the nail down to a much shorter length in which I didn't want at all. Not to mention there's several markings on the side of half of my nails. Extremely unhappy. I called the next day complaining that my nails weren't the length and shape I wanted and they said that I could come in and get it fixed. But upon coming in the owner or whichever worker kept arguing with me saying I should've spoken up more and that they're gonna charge me for a full set to get it fixed, even though whoever at the front desk in the morning said I could come in anytime and get it fixed. Why should I have to constantly tell a worker how to do their job correctly, especially after correcting them twice. Terrible customer service, who argues with a client in front of over customers? I've worked at a salon previously for 5 years before I moved here, I know how clients should and shouldn't be handled and this isn't it. Would never come here again read more

I'm really disappointed to be writing this, especially after my mom has been a loyal customer here for almost 7 months. Unfortunately, she recently developed a fungal infection under several fingernails--and this is the ONLY salon she's been to during that entire time! We have photos of the infection, and it's clear something went wrong with the hygiene or tools being used. It's upsetting, especially after trusting this place for so long. She now has to deal with a painful and frustrating situation that could have been avoided with proper sanitation! I hope the salon takes this seriously and reviews their cleanliness protocols. Do not recommend this place until this is fixed. We will absolutely not be returning. read more

N. O. Zero stars. I will never be returning here. My nails have damage after acrylics, but I have never bled or been hurt by nail tech. Removed my nails by using new tips, drilled into my fingers because she was rushed as well as on my cuticles, split between my nail and my finger while taking my nails off. I will never return to this place. These people are rushed and do not take pride in their work. read more

bella did a beautiful job on my nails and is so sweet! my nails came out exactly how i wanted them to from a picture

Service, communication, quality and efficiency was sub par. I paid 47 for a pedicure. I instantly asked the lady of she was going to file my nails more she did yes. None of my nails were clipped. She did feather like stoked on each toes w a pinkie size file. The nail polish wasn't even covering whole nail, dead skin was obvious when finished and nails were uneven. I only wasted my money thinking I wouldn't have the same experience as every other horrible nail salon in SM. I was WRONG. I am so disappointed and wasted my money. When I paid I let the lady know how unsatisfied I was. She asked me for my info. Then they asked me to send pics to their ig. Which I showed then as I complained. Worst part is the lady cut my skin around my toe. Never again. Super hesitant to even go back to get redone for free. When she had the gel dryer I said it hit the top. She then said no. Which u can see it did. Uneven. Unprofessional unsatisfied never again read more

If I could leave no stars I would. I came in for a quick mani. Though I asked the tech not to cut my cuticles, I thought she'd soak them and push them back- nope! She proceeded to file, put base coat, nail polish, and top coat. She gave a half hearted massage on the top of my hands. She was hasty and careless. I was done in 15 minutes max. They were going to charge $25 and I said that was too expensive for what she did. In addition, the salon is very dirty. I will never go back! read more

I am a regular customer at Lux Nails in Santa Maria and have always had a wonderful experience, but on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, I had the most rude and unprofessional nail lady named Ashley. She got mad at me because I didn't think the colors she picked out didn't match the colors I showed her in a picture. I was trying to explain the colors to her when she said "have someone else do your nails" and walked away, then went to do a pedicure on another customer leaving me sitting there. I was humiliated and embarrassed, but thankfully another lady came and got me and did an amazing job, but more importantly she was sweet, kind and professional. Shame on you Ashley! read more

This place is located in the heart of all the necessary stores/shops in our small town. Parking is decent , shop is clean and open. Van did a decent job with my gel manicure as I was crunched on time already, he made up for it by being fast and efficient all while doing a good mani. However, do not bother making an appointment. I had an appt for 9am and I arrived at 859 as I had waited in my car and 4 other people were already inside getting their nails done. Understaffed with techs, hours printed on door states opens at 9am. I've had my pedicure done here by one of the male techs , it did not seem relaxing as he spoke almsot the entire time. Honestly won't be back, I had booked an appointment for two people and when we got there I was expecting us to sit for maybe 20 minutes. 30 minutes later we're told we would be next, despite being told we would be next two other people were then called before us. Finally, a nail artist was able to take one of us on so I expected the other person in my appointment to be taken care of shortly after me. I was wrong two other people before her were called and by that time she decided she no longer wanted to have her nails done, which is completely understandable as it had been an hour. Not only did it take us forever to even be seen, but my nails did not come out that great. The design is cute, but some of my nails are crooked and are going upward which I have never experienced with any other nail salon, not to mention, I also got cut and was bleeding, and the lady did not even clean up my nail. the only bright side is that I paid $70 when I have been to other places and paid 100. read more

Very talented nail techs in there and a brand new clean and beautiful shop! I've gone three times over the past two months. First time I received dipping powder nails, they were clean and pretty - 50$ Next time went for pedi it was busy and my two other friends were started on first I wait maybe 15min until lady came over and she just started hacking away I had to tell her "ouch" too rough. She calmed down a little then stranded me mid way and another girl Chloe finished who was so sweet and did very well. I finished at the same time as my two other friends and paid the same as them... so I didn't receive as detailed/good service. -40$ Last time I went got a fill I called they said come right in (like it was empty) but it was packed by the time I arrived so waited a bit to sit down. The fill was nice the design turned out nicely. One of the gals offered everyone waiting a glass of champagne (not me?) I guess because I was sitting idk still grabbed a water and left- 50$ Few days later one of the nails with design was chipping and leaking polish ? Gel never happened before.
