I found a Groupon for a mani pedi so I came in early Sunday morning. Most nail places are closed on Sunday, so I was happy to find a place open. Everyone was so friendly. So many nail polish colors and brands to choose from. And just many options for gel polish. Jenny did an amazing job! She waxed my eye brows and they look perfect. Everyone there was so talented. Took my gf here: this is her review This company cannot perform a decent nail fill and polish change. I went in and asked for this service which they said would be 25.00 The tech did not remove all the old polish before applying acrylic. I pointed this out and she said that it's my fault that the paint is stuck under nail. I said it's on top then you put acrylic, she didn't remove it all... very sloppy.. yet it was my fault,. She continued to work on nails I offered to go to another shop, she never responded like I wasn't even talking. She finishes applying acrylic and butchers my nails so short it doesn't look like I even have acrylic nails. Then I ask for polka dots on tips and she refuses by saying "you picky" and I need to pay her she refused service. I called manager asking for refund advising she refused service half way through, and he said no refund. Come back I'll finish nails. I said no. I want refund. He said no so I said your employee calls me names refused servicing me and kicks me out??? I stated I'd post on yelp and bbb he said go ahead. Worst service ever !!! Since moving to AZ, I have tried a few different salons and yearn for my place back home. But this place was recommended so I thought why not? I will say off the bat it is the cleanest salon I have been in since I arrived in AZ. sterile equipment. Nothing reused. Kudos to them. And I will say that the owner and his wife seem genuinely friendly. And the place is busy. But I got THE worst gelish job ever. My nails were a little longer than I liked so I told the worker that I keep them a little shorter. And i was getting ill from the fumes so i didnt pay as much attention as i should have I thought she squared off my beautifully rounded nails a little short but that can happen first time someone new does your nails. But the corners were so sharp, my hubs howled and said they were lethal weapons. Then, to make matters worse, the gelish was over my fingertips and under my nails. So now I have polish stuck to my skin and it is not going to come off easily I fear. And to be honest, they look like crap. It s the first bad French mani I have ever had. Came in randomly for a pedicure and was happy with the result. The pedicure includes a mini sugar scrub and hot stone massage. Price was only $18 (same price with or without a coupon). Guy who did the pedicure was nice and quiet. Has been almost a week and no chipping. Only downside was that I went on a Tuesday, late morning, and had to wait 20 minutes before getting into the chair, and another 10 minutes before anyone started on my toes. Called around for a gel manicure and for $23 decided to give this place a try. Lots of colors to choose from and the staff was very friendly. New to the neighborhood and decided to check them out since I haven't been happy with my normal nail place the last couple of times. Great prices; she did a great job on my pedicure and I actually was able to relax and doze off. I got the Royal Spa Pedicure which included a soak, massage, callus remover or wax, and polish. The menu was a little confusing and got a paraffin wax and the callus remover when I wanted the callus remover and design and needed clarification on getting a design but 1st time there; now I know what to ask for. read more

They did use hot stones, and the lady spent a long time rubbing my legs which was nice. I got a french pedicure and they look good. This has been my go to spot for nails for years and I've seen it change hands but never have I ever walked in and waited 30 minutes. I walked out after waiting 15 minutes and went next door and then returned to wait even longer. My normal guy got up to run my water for pedicure and the owner said something, he turned off the water and sat back down. I waited a few more minutes and walked out. As I did the husband said, were ready for you now. A little too late, you had ur chance. There was no reason to make this girl wait! I have been to this salon twice in 4 days. I came to this salon as I am new in the area, and the reviews and prices were good. First of all, I usually get my pedicures every 3 to 4 weeks. However, I had not had a pedicure other than the buffing, filing, and polishing I have been doing at home for the past 2 months. I was definitely excited to finally have the time to get a good, professional pedicure. I was taken immediately by a man, who did not speak. Now whether that was a language barrier or what, I don't know. That's fine, I relaxed. I paid for the full pedicure with $5 extra callous remover. I did receive the entire scrub, somewhat of a massage, and he literally rubbed the hotstones on me two strokes. I was in and out in 30 minutes. No joke. I tipped the 20% because it appeared that my feet looked better. The next day, I examined closer, because my feet felt really itchy..My heels were terribly cracked, and ashy looking around my toes. I then realized that not only did he not touch my cuticles at all (my bad for not paying attention, and trying to relax) but I believe that the callous remover that he applied did not get rinsed properly. I don't really know, but it was bad and it looked like I didn't get a pedicure at all. My toenails were not polished to the edges and the free edge was not even touched. So 4 days later when I was off work again, I called and spoke to a man on the phone, I explained that I had been there 4 days earlier and had a terrible pedicure, and asked if they guarantee their work. He said "yes, yes, come in today anytime, and we will redo." Here is where it gets weird. I walk in and explain that I had just called and the circumstances. They tell me to pick out a polish. I didn't really care of the color, so I picked a pink (original pedi, was blue) They give me the same man to fix. The owner/manager comes up to me and says "so you are getting a polish change?" I had to explain why I was there several times before they understood. Every nail tech in the salon was called over to look at my toes..all the while speaking with each other in their native tongue. To say the least I was uncomfortable, and in hindsight should have just walked out..Instead, I stayed to see what they were going to do...Now I am writing this review. The manager takes over, and explains to me in these words "this is not our fault, your feet are dry." Really? This isn't my first pedicure lady...she puts callous remover on my heels, all the while telling me that I have responsibility to put their $25 a bottle lotion on my feet EVERY SINGLE night..Oh, Okay.. Then without soaking or anything, she starts cheese grating my feet and she is so rough that she gets my ankle and the tops of my feet...Now I have burning scratches..she did not remove the polish, she found the blue one that I originally had (took them 10 minutes to find it) and did literally two dots on the tip of my one toenail and sent me on my way... This was a pedicure nightmare...and the same night, my feet still look as though I did not have a pedicure. Yes, this place was decently clean, but highly recommend staying away from this place. I will never return and will continue to tell all of my neighbors and friends that this place does NOT deliver. read more

I just moved to gilbert from tempe, I have been to so many nail salons over the past 10 years, I always get excited when i come across a place i fall in love with. I am super picky about my acrylics, I have a very specific shape and profile I have to have, and Lee the owner is so great, he gets it, he totally is super friendly, likes to chat, asked me all about myself, just made me very comfortable, he was soooo detailed , he took time on each nail, also not many places actually trim up and do your cuticles after the set, I love that he took care of that. I love the shop too, its modern and clean, although i Didn't get a pedicure, I will certainly get one though , the chairs look very comfy. Above their nail drying station I noticed they had a whole wall of customer notes and comments on little pieces of paper, i thought that was really nice, you can tell that they have pride in their services and really appreciate all their clients, they had a little conversation with each client that came in for services , very personal i seriously cant wait to come back. read more

I went in for a shellac manicure. I was greeted immediately and only had to wait a few minutes. The place was clean and well set-up. I had many nail color choices and I believe my nails were done well. The only complaint is that they were very busy...so my nail guy kept getting up to assist other customers while my nails were drying in the machines. I popped in here after I dropped my dogs off at Paws Attraction in the same shopping center for their baths and wanted to get a pedicure before heading to Disneyland that weekend while I waited for my dogs. The place was clean and prices were very affordable. I got the $20 pedicure and paid cash so it was actually $19 with the "cash discount"- it included the nail care, massage (which was a unique massage with some extensive slapping and pounding- that may not be everyone's cup of tea but it felt nice to me) there were hot stones as well if I recall correctly and then the nail polish- I skipped callus removal because I was going to Disneyland and wanted to have tough feet. It was one of the best under $20 pedicure I have had and lasted nearly 45 minutes. I will likely be back. read more

Not sure if the sloppy service I received was due to the Groupon I used.... this was my first time at 4D Nails, I will never return and will never refer anyone to use their services. My pedicure was fine but I didn't even receive lotion on my hands for my manicure, no less any kind of hand massage. The nail polish dried bubbly and smudged due to the technicican gooping on the nail polish. The technician seemed nice and friendly during my pedicure but seemed to have a personality change during the manicure when he spoke rudely about another customer, even using a curse word. NOT professional! I also got my brows waxed which was the typical brow waxing, no tweezing clean up and no offer of other waxing services. My friend that joined me that day complained of her pedicure & manicure. She was not offered any choice of pedicures (she just received the basic) and her fingernails weren't even filed evenly for her manicure. So much for trying something new! read more

After a few unsuccessful visits to other Nail Spas in Gilbert, I am pleased with 4D nails. They were busy on a Sunday afternoon, but moved many of the customers rather quickly without compromising their services. The lady who did my manicure was great and very friendly. I think her name was Vi . . . the gentleman that did my pedicure was really great. Most of the techs chatted with customers and that is something I can appreciate. They even gave me a great deal on a mani-pedi through the Yelp site that I was not aware. I have been going here with my mom for a very long time, almost 4 years now. They used to do a good job but as time went on they started to respect my mother's business more since she is usually the one paying for the both of us which is understandable. However, they would spend as much time on her nails as needed to make them look perfect. When it came to my turn they rush through, don't do a good job shaping and give me cuticle burns and have even cut me multiple times. It seems they just try to get my nails out of the way to get to the next paying customer. I give 2 stars because they have always been nice to me but I think I'm going to start taking my business elsewhere. read more

For starters the staff was incredibly nice. I had no problem at all with their customer service. Although, the actual pedicure I received was pretty crappy. The hot stone massage was kind of a joke. And as she was cleaning up my nails she pulled a piece of my skin off and not only did it hurt but it bled a lot which is an absolute deal breaker for me. The woman who did my nails looked very pregnant and tired so I'm going to chalk it up to that. My toes came out polished nicely but I won't be coming here again. I went with a group of girls last weekend. We went there with an appointment so they knew how many people were showing up, this was for the bridal party. These people are not good at all. We all got manis and pedis and they all look so horrible. Our feet are still dirty. All other places I've been to, they make sure the cracks on our feet are gone. They barely massaged our legs and also our fingernails look horrible and they polished it horribly. When we told them and wanted them to redo the nail polish they said that it was our nails that made it look like that, we get manicures all the time and never looked this bad, it was horrible of them to blame it on our nails instead of taking fault and redoing the job. They only cut cuticles and polished and never massaged our hands. I will never use this place again and will never recommend to anybody. read more

Came in for a mani pedi with no appointment. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Mani pedi was $30 which is typical for this area. My guy was very nice and easy to talk to. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because I just didn't feel the quality was there. My mani was super super thick and I when one started to bubble I let him know, he immediately came to fix it but I asked to just do clear instead which is also thick but at least not to noticeable. read more

My mom treated my sister and I to a manicure and pedicure and we unfortunately decided to come here. We had been here once before and they made a few mistakes, which we were willing to forgive, I mean, it happens. But this second time was just awful. My sister got a pedicure, my mom asked for a regular french manicure and I asked for a Shellac french tip. My mom and I sat down to wait for a tech and happened to notice my sister was already soaking her feet for the pedicure. The problem was that her skin was BRIGHT RED!! She's not one to complain,and I realize that they can't know its too hot unless you say something, but that seemed a little extreme. How can you not notice the cherry red feet and ankles?? No one said a thing or offered to repull the water at a temperature that was at least somewhat tolerable for her. When the tech came to work on my mom, she asked them specifically NOT to cut her nails, since she wanted the length. Instead, the girl simply filed them down about as much asif she'd taken clippers to them. She then proceeded to do my mom's nails, but she did a gel manicure, baking her nailsin the UV light, which my mom did not realize was the case. When she found out what was happening, (because I told her!) the tech gave a nonchalant apology, if you could even call it that, and moved on to her next job. Really?? Thanks for your concern at the fact that you did this wrong!! As for my nails, I asked for a purple line under the white tip with a silver line under that. It all went well until it came time for the lines. The purple is sloppy and streaky and I didn't like the silver that she tried on one nail, and she wiped at it to take it off, but it didn't come off. So I have a glob of silver on one nail, which is just obnoxious. Plus, a week later, the white tips are gray and black, almost as if they are molding. My fingers look hideous, and I work in the hospitality industry, where I need to look clean and presentable, not like I am decaying. I'm not sure if something happened with the UV or what, but this is unacceptable. When they finished, there were still white smudges on my skin under the nails, and I asked if that was something they could take off, or... and the tech replied that it would come off with soap. Really? In what parallel universe does nail polish come off with soap? Did I miss a breakthrough in the industry somewhere? When they realized that they had given my mom the wrong service, they wisely chose to only charge her for a regular manicure (that she had asked for) rather than the Shellac that she recieved. I say "wisely" because my mom was frustrated enough as it was, and was certainly NOT about to pay for a mistake that THEY made. We were all disappointed and frustrated upon leaving and will most certainly not be returning, nor will we recommend this salon to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere. read more
