i got my nails done by them a week ago and they turned from pink to white, (dip) and they also developed yellow spots on them. i went in asking for them to be fixed and they immediately started telling me it wasn't possible for them to change colors and started talking about me in their language. i felt extremely disrespected and they were gaslighting me telling me i got a different color than what i did. they refused to help me since i didn't have my exact color memorized a week later, and were ganging up on me telling every worker in the store. she did redo the top coat but would not fix the main color. after leaving yesterday, it was in fact not the top coat and the yellow spots are still there, and they are still a faded white. i do not recommend you go here, they are rude and do not care about you, only getting your money. they never once apologized for anything. read more

updating my review because these nails were absolutely the worst nail story I've ever had. I got acrylics and the glue that they use is not up to standard and damages your nails very badly. as you can see from my updated photos, my pinkie nail suffered the most. glue definitely weakened my nail and made my nail lift completely from my finger. several months later and it's still not completely healed! it was a very painful experience and I will never get acrylics ever again because even places with good reviews that treat you well (sometimes) do things that are not up to standard regardless. also don't get your eyelashes done at a nail place, especially this one. eyes burned, they used nail glue, lost eyelashes, etc. every nail salon horror story you could have, i have experienced at this place with a hefty fee before walking out the door. read more

My daughter and I came in for a girls day. Her nails were started while I waited for 45 minutes. Then they took her to the pedicure chairs while I had my nails done. Then I waited almost an hour with cold water to be seen and we didn't even get to talk throughout our "spa day". This was all while they accepted and started everyone that walked through the door.. 3 hours in the salon and $220 later only to have 2 of her nails and 1 of mine break off the next day! Nails by Helen was amazing back when Helen was actually there helping manage this location. I've been to this place since I was 12. It was the best time I would get to spend with my mom. Especially here lately there has been a double booking issue and when that issue comes up, the fact that I've been a LONG TIME client flies out the door. When I can finally get in, I request only Andy to do my pedicure. He is the only one I let touch my feet and since he does my feet I usually want him to do my nails too because he knows im very particular. I've been passed off to other techs or I'll sit while waiting for another tech. When I'm paying a bit for my nails and toes to be done... yeah I care that my nails are shaped even and I care about the bubbles in the gel.. I don't feel like an important client when I'm here. The nail tech was nice and did a good job- but in the present time when cleanliness and sanitation are so very important I didn't feel comfortable. I scheduled an appointment and we still waited 45 minutes. I could tell when i checked in at the desk that appointments were not a thing here. It was definitely first come, first serve. My tech kept apologizing for the wait but i told her we had appointments and she said if you make an appointment with a particular person they will see you on time. Our pedis were supposed to be 32 minutes and mine was 25 so we waited A LOT longer than the service even lasted and we got ripped off our time, at that. Very poor pedi without much attention to detail. I went home with peeling skin on the bottom of my toe then i noticed she didn't even push my cuticles back. My daughter and i paid for the same service and she got a salt scrub but i did not. Besides that the paint job was extreme rushed and she used a sander tool on toenails and left ridges in them. Helen is my jam! Sister and I had gift certificates, so we ventured up north for deluxe pedis and gel manis. This place has everything on my list when it comes to nail joints: super clean, nice and well-maintained pedi chairs, a TV-free atmosphere, and most importantly, competent, efficient, friendly staff. Check check check! We added hot stones to our pedis. I'd never done that before but it was even more relaxing than I would have thought. The pedi lasted almost an hour and felt amazing. I loved all the different scrubs and masks. Jean did my nails and sister had Tran, and they both did an excellent job and were friendly and fun. But the real surprise was the mani. Many times a gel mani lacks a lot of the good stuff, but Helen must've been like, nah, gel mani gets the full fixins! A scrub, massage, paraffin, the works. All in, the total before gift certificates would have been $74. And while that's steep if it's every two weeks, it's not bad if it's just an occasional treat, or if relaxation is more important than saving ten bones. I made an appointment at 3pm. I got to the nail salon around 2:50, all the pedicure chairs were full so I knew this was going to take a while... I was seated at 3:15 and they began my pedicure at 3:20. I waited 30 minutes total... I know it doesn't sound like a lot but it's frustrating since I made an appointment. The manicurist was great though, she finished very quickly and the nail polish was great. She didn't make too much small talk, she let me just relax. Their seats are very comfortable, they have a large selection of polish and shellac colors. They also have a pretty cool little nail trying station. None of the employees had aprons on but they had gloves on - which I love! I didn't see any sanitizing machines out in the open. They also didn't pull any of the tools out of a sanitizing bag, it worries me... This is on of the biggest reasons for the 3 star rating. All in all, it wasn't bad service and they did a great job, my nail polish looks fabulous. It was $25 for the basic level pedicure. read more

I got a Deluxe Pedicure here and it was the best I have ever gotten. Lynn did my pedicure and she is the most talented sweetest nail tech ever. I was able to RSVP an appointment and ended up being late anyways but they sat me immediately. The pedicure itself was so relaxing I almost fell asleep in the chair, and I got a hot rock massage added for only $5. I was having a rough week at work and this was exactly what I needed. They were super kind and offered me drinks, and I highly recommend you treat yourself!!! read more

She took her time and made sure everything was perfect, which I can never say enough about when paying for a service. Really though, she was very thorough her attention to detail was impressive and most importantly she listened to me and asked if everything was to my liking. I typically only trust my eyebrows to my hair girl, but was in a pinch so I asked Kelly to do those also and again, she did awesome and listened to exactly what I wanted. I went with my friend yesterday to get a mani-pedi and brought my 7 month old daughter with us. She started to fuss and cry and the technicians that work there jumped at the chance to help take care of her while I was getting my nails did. So nice!!! She was so comfortable with them that she just hung out with the ladies. As for my nails, amazing job! I got the shellac on my toes and a French on my nails. The lady did an impeccable job. My friend and I will definitely be back. I'm so happy I found a place after moving here from Los Angeles. First place I went to wasn't the best and my acrylics literally popped off. I've been to this place twice. The first time the service was okay at best. Others were asked if they wanted anything to drink. I was finally asked 2/3 through the way of my gel service. I asked for a particular nail shape and was unimpressed at most. I left with my nails rounder than I wanted after asking and showing pics of what I wanted. When I went back the second time to try another nail tech, one of my nails was in the process of breaking. This has never happened to me at any other location. The second time was better until days later one nail broke. I went back to have it fixed at no charge and had to ask for Matte finish because it didn't match my other nails anymore. Now, 4 days later, two other nails are breaking. I work an office job and don't have my nails in water often. This should not happen with good quality product. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was a walk in and they seated me immediately, even gave me a glass of wine while I waited. I had on a full set from my last salon, she took one look and asked if she could redo it instead of a fill. So glad I said yes, my nails look gorgeous. It was more money to get the coffin shape which was a little disappointing but it turned out great! My ride-or-die nail salon. I moved to Oklahoma in August of 2015 and immediately started trying out nail salons in the area. I'm from Los Angeles, so my standards are a bit high and I'm very picky. Nails by Helen was one of the last places I tried in a long line of awful salons. Ever since the first time I came here, I have refused to go anywhere else!! I now live about 40 miles away in Norman and I STILL commute to Nails by Helen when I need a manicure or pedicure because of how absolutely unmatched their service is. I don't prefer any specific nail technician because they are all equally competent, which is sometimes hard to find in a salon with a lot of staff. They even have an ATM machine inside of the salon which I find very convenient for when I want to tip in cash. The salon itself is very clean and is furnished beautifully. read more

I don't know why yelp isn't more popular in OKC but anyway... I love this place! I moved to Chicago last year and miss my nail salon. Whenever I come back to OKC to visit I go pamper myself at Nails by Helen while in town. The price is reasonable. There are always plenty of employees working so you never have to wait and everyone is SO friendly. The decor is very nice, not like most nail salons where everything is run down, old and dingy looking--I would even say 'fancy.' Oh yeah, I'm throwing fancy into the mix. Plus, they offer drinks and candy!! A giant bowl of tootsie pops by the door is constantly calling my name so I usually can't wait to pay and stock my purse :o) read more

I had the most horrible experience at Nails by Helen thanks to VIVIAN!!!! She was so rude! She interrupted my conversation and started yelling at me, and told me I was rude... Well, here's the story...I wanted my nails painted, but the girls who had previously done my nails was busy. So, I told them I would wait. I was already waiting on my friend to finish her manicure. The nail tech that was working on my friend asked if I wanted someone to paint my nails. I responded by saying, "Sure, I want the best nail tech to paint my nails". Well, Vivian took offense to my comments and said, "You rude! Everybody here good. You want good. You call manager. You can pay for manager to come back from vacation". Her sweet client tried to smooth things over by telling me about another service called SNS. Vivian's client even asked Vivian to show me the bottle, but Vivian scrunched her nose and shook her head "No". So sorry if I struck a cord Vivian. I'm pretty sure people receiving a service would like the best person available. I didn't mean to make you feel insecure in your ability, but since I wasn't talking to you, you must have felt guilty. I wish I didn't have this experience today. The nail tech I saw previously is really sweet. Unfortunately, I have to find a new nail shop. Despite Vivian being oh so rude, I was really cordial and decided not to say anything to Ms. Vivian. However, I cannot guarantee I will be so nice next time. Great acrylic fill and manicure by Cindy. I walked in without an appointment at 5:50 PM, and waited about 15 minutes as they were very busy. Cindy did a great job on my nails, and also did a brow wax even though it was after closing when she finished. Price was very reasonable - $48 for both. We made appointments here for bridal day nails. I mean, it's your typical nail salon. They were nice but not overly so. I got a mani/pedi and my mom got the exact same thing but my lady charged $42 and hers $35. What the heck is up with that? Their nail dryers weren't working, the UV light that hardens never came on for my mom. She tried to tell a lady, who said it was fine. Sure enough, my moms toes smudged within a few minutes. The massage chairs are looking ROUGH. Like beat up sit in your uncles garage tough. The prices are pretty cheap though, I have a friend who does the dip powder for $25. I def wouldn't say it was the best mani/pedi I've ever had. But I've also never been blown away by a nail salon so... It is what it is. read more

Thank goodness for bypassing the awkward 'look at whoever isn't busy and ask if there's time for pedicure' part. It's very well ventilated, which is nice if you have a baby. I usually bring mine and this was the one time I didn't. I was offered a water, which I took, got sat down immediately, and got a pedicure. Went for a mani pedi with my daughter, we got the same thing. She got a massage I did not. After the polish we sat in the nail drying station. The lights were not working on the top but did work for feet. My toe polish dried smooth so did my daughters. Our nails dried like the polish shrank, it pulled away from the edges and had wrinkles through it. We both had different polish so I'm thinking it was from not having the light and heat dry like the feet had. When I told the guy up front he said it was not the light and called the lady who painted them over. She wanted to try and fix it but unfortunately I had already been there 2 hours and had some where else to be. I would have thought they'd offer a free nail color change but they both just said sorry... Needless to say we won't be coming back here. $109 down the drain! read more
