I went in to do my nails and I had acrylic on them ONLY b/c I had two split nails from a knife on a craft project and no one else said I should try anything other than acrylic. I hate acrylic. I came in here and had them soak them off and then take a look at the split nails and I said well they haven't grown out enough so I guess put acrylic back on. Bea suggested letting her do her magic patch work and I could get the gel I wanted. She was right!!! The nails are sturdy and strong and will hold up nicely! She takes pride in the work she does and really does want her clients to be happy with her work. I hate that the majority of shops are like a machine and they just push everyone through fast fast fast. I don't go get my nails done to be rushed through and not get a nice mani/pedi and get to relax a bit. I went when it's not busy and I thoroughly enjoyed my service. I will be coming back next week for a pedi and I cannot wait, since I literally just paid for a pedi somewhere else that wasn't done at all for the health of my feet. I left essentially in the same condition I came in with . So I am beyond excited to try them out for a pedi as I'm sure it's going to be amazing! I forgot how nice the pedi massage chairs are while getting a nice and warm foot bath! The salon has a really calming atmosphere and the manicurists were very sweet and welcoming. Rose did my pedi and she was thorough and was sure to make sure that everything was comfortable and not too hot. The staff also makes sure that they offer drinks if you are thirsty. My manicurist did my nails while I was also getting my pedi. My nails are very thin, brittle, split easily and grow somewhat curved but they were both able to make them look so pretty! When I arrived I was happily greeted by two ladies, but they seemed distracted. They were more engaged in their perosnal conversation than attending to me. I tried not to read too into it and just give it a shot. I requested a pedicure with gel and dip with tips for my manicure. Only one lady was doing both services at the same time, but it was quite disorganized. As I was attempting to remain patient, give it shot, I started to notice some things: 1) trimmed beard hair on the floor near the pedicure chairs, 2) dust and grime here, there, and everywhere 3) no employees wearing gloves, 4) a very strong mildew smell, and 5) noticing the equipment was very old.
