I brought my boyfriend in on Tuesday for his very first pedicure, and we were both impressed! He was a little nervous, but May did an amazing job and made him feel comfortable. The salon was very clean, professional, and I noticed how well everything was sanitized. Even the massage chairs actually worked! My boyfriend's feet definitely needed some attention , and they looked so much better afterward. Then yesterday, my daughter, my son, and I all came back. My daughter got a full set from Michael, my son got a pedicure and manicure from April, and I had a spa pedicure with Jay and a manicure from May. The spa pedicure was so relaxing, and Jay gave an excellent foot massage. My gel nails came out beautiful--I haven't had gel nails in a long time. Michael also did an excellent job on my daughter's nails, and my son loved his experience so much that he said I have to bring him back. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I went to this salon for the first time today. It was the worst nail experience I have ever had! I'm not usually one to complain but I left very upset. During my pedicure they clipped the sides of my big toe nails so aggressively that I was bleeding and flinching in pain. The nail tech then picked up the bloody pieces of the nail and was like "see they were soo long, it's gonna hurt a little" I was almost in tears because now my toes were burning when he sprayed them to clean them. He started to paint my nails and the color was not even close to the one I picked in the book. This happened with several colors. I picked a medium red and what he was painting on looked neon. After several color attempts I settled with one that wasn't terrible. I also had a French manicure and had to ask several times for nails to be re filed because of how incredibly crooked he made them. The lines painted in my French manicure are a little crooked but tolerable after several fixes to that as well. I was there for over 2 hours and they kept taking new appointments when they didn't even have enough staff to help the people that were already there. I saw one girl wait at least 25 minutes with her feet soaking before someone helped her. Some of the ladies working were incredibly rude and disrespectful. I will never go back. Not worth it to pay 100 dollars for such bad service and they should not have made me pay for the pedicure since I was bleeding on both big toes. I have been coming here for years. I called and micheal said to go in half hour. So I got there on a Monday at 3pm. There wasn't too many people but some were busy. They had me sit in a chair with water. By the 30th minute micheal saw I was still sitting and he said 3 more minutes. Well I sat for 48 minutes and no one had gotten to me. I should've listened to the reviews but I figured I'm only getting my nails removed it shouldn't be too bad. It took them over an hour to remove my nails never in my life has it taken anyone that long to remove them. They kept telling me to leave my nails in the nail removal chemical this lasted 40 minutes. I was not going to write a review since I got a refund and considered the issue resolved. But a text message was sent to my MIL I felt as if I was being called a liar as to what happened and they were trying to act apologetic and sincere in text when they were truly unkind rude and angry in person. Im not naming anyone I just want the problem to be known. I have been here for a few pedicures and they have been amazing and great service. Yesterday at 11am I went for an acrylic nail removal and a new full set . They had me soak my fingers in a bowl pure acetone for over an hour. I was checked on twice and the sticky layer removed each time I was checked on however at the last soak was extremely long for the little material left and uncomfortable because the acetone was heating up. The person who was helping me with the nail removal was zoned in on their ipad sitting far in the back on the pedicure chair unaware.I was called over to start my set and the tech was unnecessarily aggressive. Using the foot pedal for the electric acrylic nail filer revving it as if they were driving a sports car making the metal file HOT against my natural nail bed. The acrylic material was put on so quickly that areas near my cuticles were missing material. When it came time for buffing and filing w handheld nail file the buffing and filing was so hard and rough it buffed my skin area more than my nails. I was cut on my skin above my cuticles and between my natural nail and acrylic. They continuously stepped away to smoke a cigarette smell clinging. I have no issues with smokers, but its unprofessional and inconsiderate to other people during an appointment. I went to wash my hands after and instantly had burning sensation and slight bleeding on my nails let it go and said thank you and paid tipped and left. When I got home my skin area on my nails started oozing the clear liquid your body does when its trying to heal a cut. I washed my hands again when I got home with cold water not even soap yet and it felt as if I was washing my hands with acid it burnt so bad. At 9:30pm my cuticle area is red swollen and painful. I woke up for work at 6am and see my skin area now scabbed over and still just as painful. I went to the nail salon with my husband after work around 6pm and was kindly greeted and asked what I could be helped with and I told them I needed to talk to the person who helped me yesterday showed them my damaged skin and told them what happened. " whats wrong? " the tech said already defensive, I showed them my skin and said im cut and it hurts. They said "yea thats what happens with a new buffer youll be okay in a few days". I said no its not okay and its not good service and not supposed to happen my finger are cut and it burns and I cant even wash my hands without it hurting and burning. I showed them videos and pictures and even sent it to their phone. To which they said "theres no cuts i dont see anything it wasnt cut here. So what do you want me to do about it" (contradicting themself at this point having admitted the nail buffer cut me and then saying theres no cut after i left and didnt happen at my appointment. Gaslighting much?) I want a refund. I said im not going to come back and was please dont come back at least 10x while i was there. They said they will have me sit down and soak them off and I told them no youre not going to do that it will burn, you can cut them off with a nail clipper and destroy the shape design whatever but youre not soaking them off. They were angry and kept talking rudely my husband took my hand and showed her again and said "She has never come back from a nail appointment with damaged skin so no its not okay". I told them they can cut off the nails if it makes them feel better so they dont feel like im trying to steal services from them. They went to grab the money had me sit down and they cut the tips of the nails off . After the tips were cut they tried to use a nail file again and i said no youre not doing that my skin is already cut. They got more upset and walked away angrily and said I dont want their help and I told them no trying not to cry, my skin is already cut and youre going to cut it again with the nail file. I was not refusing service, to reshape the nail was not going to fix my skin or anything else, i did not want a new shape or anything other than a refund. I walked out. There is many more details but yelp wont allow a longer review. They then sent a message to my mother in law letting her know what happened today saying I probably had an allergic reaction to the acetone soak. My MIL was sitting next to me the whole time I was getting my acrylics done.. Im not sure the tech understands human anatomy, cuts DONT happen to heal magically and instantly right after being cut, it takes time to scab over. The injury to my fingers was not done deliberately, but the way the situation was handled on the techs end was so very rude and unkind and unprofessionally. read more

I came in here for mani, pedi and brow wax before going to lunch later. They said okay no wait took me right to the pedicure chair. The service man said his name was Paul I think? Couldn't quite understand unfortunately. The water was borderline cold. This man was SO rough I felt like I was being pranked or something. He was using the cuticle cutter it felt like he was jabbing carelessly. He quite literally dumped and pushed my legs and feet in and out the water. He even went so far as to make a grunting sound while lifting my leg pretending it was very heavy and laughing. It was very odd and embarrassing. He used the buffer he scratched the back of my legs (to where it left a scrape mark) then walked away to get something. When he used the pumice stone, he continuously scratched and scraped (my feet aren't even that bad off) that part is usually uncomfortable but no it was downright painful. The massage (if you could call it that) was brutal as well. He squirted the lotion on me directly from the bottle followed by 30 seconds of him roughly squeezing my legs. I notice he kept chuckling to himself the entire time. Then he proceeded to start to paint without even cutting down (or offering to cut) my toenails! I had to ask him to do it. The truth is I wanted to leave about five minutes in but I decided to finish the service as not to cause any problems. I payed the $40 and quietly declined the mani or brow wax I originally requested. Please note I am not exaggerating one bit. This was a very bizarre uncomfortable painful experience. read more

This new girl they have that's in her mid 30s maybe, she speaks very good English and I have seen her have lots of returning clients.. so I trusted her to do my eyebrows. I went here before to get a full set. I loved it. I paid $45 for gel with a fairly long length. Two colors and I had her nip my cuticles. I came back a week later for a fill and a pedicure I am NOT happy. I paid $35 for a fill. My nails had barely grew, so I should've just got charged for a color change. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (ombré) and she tried to charge me $50. WHY would I pay more for a fill than I had originally paid for a full set?! So I told her never mind and had her cut down my nails and just do something simple. Showed her another picture and it turned out nothing like what I'd shown her. Already irritated, I asked her to cut my cuticles and she told me it was $5 more, even tho the last time I had it included in my full set. On another note, my pedicure was not as I had expected either. She had originally put my water too hot and once I had told her it was too hot, she rolled her eyes and continued her work. My chair, out of all the chairs, had no massaging control. Just great right? It was just a disaster. All in all, I had originally liked this place and thought that I'd make this my go-to salon, but after coming back, I'll definitely be looking for another salon. My original full set was $45. There was no way I was going to pay more for a fill that didn't include what I had previously received in a service and the fact that my nails were cut down, the price just shouldn't have been what it was. The lady had rolled her eyes at me when I told her my water was too hot and I got the chair with no massager. My fill didn't turn out how I had wanted and this was just overall a terrible experience. My nails are not what I wanted and the lady just seemed like she didn't want to be there. I did recommend this place at first, but now I will never send anyone here to get their nails done. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. I took my 14 year old niece here for birthday pedis. It wasn't busy, but my tech rushed through every part of the process. He said he couldn't round my nails because they were too short, although other salons have no problem. He also made sure to comment on my feet needing a cheese grater for the callouses and complained about my supposed dry skin. He also skipped the lotion massage, which is normally my fave part. The tech for my niece, luckily, took more time and did a more thorough job. It also bothered me that it appeared the tools used on our feet did not come from a newly opened, personal, sterile packet. I have been going here the past year or so and have always had great experiences. I jump around from technicians and so far all of them have done quality work. There was only one time where I had a nail come off the next day and they happily fixed it for me and didn't make me feel uncomfortable about it. My nails always last. I've never been able to wait a full 2 weeks for a fill because nails have always broken off of me from other salons. No complaints. They also own the nails art on Buchanan which Michaels lovely wife runs as well. I'm super picky about salons and nails, so it says a lot that I've actually found a place I like going to. Needed to get my nails done so I came here. The nail tech had put a bit too much nail polish on the corner of my nail so I asked politely if she could even it out. Instead she added more to the spot only making it an eye sore to look at my nails. Fast forward. My mother in law was getting her nails done too. She was almost done when I asked the lady if she could file it for me and at least even it out. She only files it doesn't even put a clear coat and walks away.
