Really surprised this place hasn't been shut down yet, it's always so dirty and the staff is extremely rude and rush all appointments. I've been here a handful of times and thought I had to put up with this garbage until I found LV nails. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go somewhere that won't destroy your nails and cuticles. read more

Hi, I am complaining about my nails. I went there the other day with a few of my friends and I have a few issues. We got there and they rushed us into the chairs. They did 6 of our nails in 15 minutes (gels) to be exact. They did a terrible job and they didn't push our cuticles back. They didn't clean the nail and left polish on the finger. They took advantage of us because we did not have a parent with us. Definitely was not worth the money! Overall it was a bad experience. They filed the nail after it was gelled rather than before. read more

I've been there twice, once for a gel pedicure and twice for gel tips. Both amazing experiences! The woman who did my pedicure (I think her name was Jackie but I could be wrong) took out my ingrown toenails and did an amazing job on my fill in as well as the woman sitting next to her. It's not as expensive as many other places near me, I'll definitely become a frequent customer! read more

The absolute worst nail salon ever. Tweety the owner sashays around the salon and is rude rude rude. Never says thank you. It's always at least a 20 minute wait. I made appointments all the time because I want to be assured I will be taken at that specific time. An appointment is worthless here! And the one time I came in 5 minutes late (traffic jam) after coming to this salon for 4 years, Tweety, the owner was beyond rude. There are so many nail salons....definitely skip THIS ONE! NEVER AGAIN!! I only gave it one star because there were no other options. The owner has no sense of how to treat her clientele and that spoke volumes to me. read more

i went in on a Sunday for a basic mani-pedi. The girl that gave me the pedicure was so distracted chatting with her coworker that she paid no attention to what she was doing...she burned me several times with the hot stone & was hurting me while doing the pedicure. (Ive never complained about pain during a pedi)...Same women gave me a mani and was talking and laughing so much during it that she was cutting my cuticles and not even looking...i was ready to freak out if she cut me. it was the worst mani pedi experience. They kept trying to upsell me more expensive packages and pressuring me. It was not relaxing at all and the job was poor. a BAD experience. would never return. read more

Dirty....waste of money!! Got my nails done for brothers wedding. They said they dont do 3D nails which they do. I did french very simple with a nail art on one finger. The nails were croaked and yellow looking very thick. Ughhh never will i go back. Disgusting!!!!!!!! Paid $80. He refised to change the utensils. Even though i have ocd to cleanliness. Place is filty. read more

ASK FOR TWEE (or it might be Tweet, I'm still not sure but am too scared to ask), she is VERY good. Have been going to her to get my fill ins ever since the dumbass at NailShow screwed up with gels. She really listens to what you want and does just that. She really wants to do a good job, and isn't just after your money. Last time I was there, a customer came in just to fix a broken nail and Twee had one of the ladies fix the nail and didn't charge for it-- I was very impressed by that. The place isn't really "nice" by any means but there are always people there-- probably because they do a good job. I definitely recommend. read more

TWEETY is the best at this salon. Although the other ladies are very sweet and most can do a great pedicure, TWEETY is the only one who is an artist and not a mechanic when it come to giving you the kind of fill you ask for. I've since found another place where I can get exactly what I want without disappointment. I'm sorry I had to leave Nails 2000...didn't want to...but I can't pay for disappointment. read more

I GIVE THIS PLACE 1 STAR BECAUSE: (i would give it a 0 if I could) Ive came here a couple of times, the first time was a decent job. I wasn't impressed nor disappointed in the work of my pedicure. This second time around was what did it for me to decide to never come back to this place. This place will rush to get your nails done just to get you out. I had originally came in for a mani-pedi but as she started my pedi she was flying through it. Talking away to her co worker next to her, I quickly asked if she could take her time picking at my skin around my toe nails as I have a lot of build up there. She said ok and started to slow down some what and putting more effort in. What really disappointed me is she wasn't even pushing my cuticles back or even trying to pay attention to details. After I saw how poorly she was doing my pedi I let her know I did not want a mani anymore and finally she slowed her roll, since she did not have to do both jobs anymore. MIND YOU, this was yesterday on a rainy Monday afternoon and they had no overflow of customers so it makes no sense to me why she was rushing me if there was no one to attend to. But by then she was already on the massage part and defeated the whole purpose of the pedi. I would have rather her focus on the actual cleaning of the toe nails rather than her spending more time on the massage portion. She did not clean under my nails, used a cuticle clipper to cut off my nails and they weren't even cut straight. Once she scrubbed my toes with the brush one foot did have soap and she did not bother putting more on for the next foot just simply scrubbed my foot with the hard bristles and water. As the next part of the scrubbing came with the purple block, she was blabbing away yet again with the co worker next to her and was not even attempting to scrub hard as I have dry heels. Again, I stepped in and let her know if she could please scrub harder. I also noticed she did not even buffer the top of my nail down with the nail buffer/filer which my nails also need, and I understand salons do and don't do certain things but my cousin next to me was getting it done. Finally, the nail painting part came about. Decent but looked goopy as by now she was probably annoyed with all my interjections and wanted me to get out of the chair. My pinky nail ended up touching the toe next to it as I was not blessed with perfect toes and the paper towel she used to separate my toes wasn't spacious enough so I let her know it got ruined. She walked back to the chair annoyed, didn't even removed the polish she just layered the polish on top of the messed goop therefore making the already goopy nails look even more goopy. As i was at the drying station I noticed polish all over the skin and I was removing with my nail. She noticed I was not pleased with her work therefore she only charged me $20 as opposed to $23 for the pedi. All in all, I write this extensive review with all the details of my experience in hopes that this nail salon (and others) start to worry more about the quality of their work rather than the quantity (aka rushing through the people just serve the others.. even if there aren't others to serve.) I go into detail with this review as well because I have an aunt that does nails down south and KNOW what a good pedicure is and what isn't. Hopefully anyone looking for a review on this place made it through reading this one and saved their time and decides to go elsewhere. In any nail salon there will be good employees and there will be bad ones, my advice if you're coming here is to just ask for the best employee they have and I'm sure they won't talk away their session with their coworker and do a poor job. read more

This place is the worst stay away! Very cheap which is great but the owner tweety is the rudest person I've ever met. She did my nails one day and 3 of them fell off because she flew threw it in like 20 minutes. I went back less then a week later and complained. They got mad for me complaining for they made me wait for an hour to fix my nails. Then they switched me between 3 different nail technicians as they fixed my nails. The fixing process took over an hour. I spent two hours there. And was completely fed up. I didn't even know who to tip because they switched the technician on me 3 times. Go somewhere else. Try nail show they are fabulous. read more

Cheap and quick, took 30 minutes for a gel tip fill. Wouldn't go here for a full set because they replaced one of my nails that broke off and it is extremely thin and I feel like it's about to snap off. Also my nails look great at a glance but at a closer look they are all different shapes and lengths, and two are even crooked. Also very unsanitary!! They used extremely worn down files that clearly have been used on many different people read more

Decided to try this place after having been recommended by a few friends who come here. I loved the designs that they usually got so I decided to try it out since my usual manicurist at my usual place was out the whole weekend. I will not be coming back! The woman that did my gel mani Amy started off ok enough though I was wondering why she didn't take the time to soak my nails which still had my previous gel mani. She didn't even bother to put down a towel or paper towel on her station and her station's cleanliness left little to be desired. Her work was sub par at best she didn't even bother cleaning under my nails or trim my cuticles. She seemed to be in a rush and was sloppy with her work. The nail design that I asked for was not what I had seen on my friends nails! I probably could have a done a better job! After examining her work I saw that she had gotten the gel color all over my fingers and didn't even bother to clean it up! read more

Nails 2000 - This is after the woman that did my pedicure attempted to clean up the job the manicurist did. - Nail Salons Near Me - East Hanover, New Jersey

See all

The place is absolutely filthy dirty, most of the polish is thick and old. They do not use sterile equipment - even the nail files were worn and dirty. They rush you through the manicure and pedicure while watching the door for more customers coming in. They are supposed to use clean sterilized equipment by law on each new customer, not once a day - and how much could it cost to use a brand new file on each customer? Really below standard and all about making money- I was rushed in and rushed out. No pampering here! read more

I highly recommend Nails 2000. Twee has been doing my nails for 20 years. When she decided to leave Chatham and open her own shop I went right along with her. Twee is an expert with all nail materials. Manicures, gels, fill ins are consistently excellent. Twee is highly efficient, you are in and out in no time. The place is always busy. All of the ladies are sweet and helpful. You can get a great pedicure here too. I love Nina, but all the gals are great. Give it a try. read more

Get a pedicure with Linda! I have very sensitive skin and other pedicures have been very uncomfortable for me with the pushing and cutting of the cuticles but Linda was so delicate that I did not even realize that she was working on my cuticles until she was almost done! Really appreciated how careful she was with my feet. Excellent pedicure and will definitely be returning! read more

this is the worst place ever do not go here. I went here an waited an hour to get my nails done an when they finally were finished i saw how uneven an disgusting my nails looked. none of them r even all of them r different. and on top of that, I was charged an extra 10$ for some reason, I paid $40 when I usually pay $30. terrible service. read more

Good for cheap prices and quick appointments, but they cannot handle the busy times. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Double booked my appointment two times and forgot to put one into the schedule. Been going there for almost two years until two very bad experiences with pedicures where I was charged full price at the end. read more

Her name is Tweety, like the bird. :) She is wonderful! Lynn is also good, but Tweety is the best there for gels. I marvel at how she can field the phones, talk, and do my gel overlays without blinking, and do a GREAT job. At first I thought there was no way she could be doing a thorough job, given all the distractions. but my gels last a month after she does them. I get a french manicure, so the grow out is barely noticeable, and it does not peel at all. And for $30 a month to have nice nails? Awesome. read more

3 stars only because kelly is there!! Kelly is really good with her work, she will always pay attention to what you have to say and she is quick and good. The problem I have is with the appointments booking system.all you have to do is see if there is a slot open for the service and book or provide options;not sure why they can't keep up with that. Once it so happened, I called in the morning and the main lady had answered and booked an appointment ,when I went there there was no appointment there was not even a sorry uttered from either of the people. I drove 1 hr to be told no appointment and get a stare blank with being asked you sure you called us? I gave it another chance, coz of kelly though this happens again, called and booked an appointment, drive for a whole hour and was asked when I called? They didn't speak with me? They have no appointment. They lost a very loyal customer!!! Now I have to go thru the rigorous work of finding a new place. read more

I have been a customer of Nails 2000 for the past year and have enjoyed my experiences. Not today!! Went in and the place was busy so I knew I'd need to wait a few minutes. I was immediately told to pick a color. I sat, and sat and SAT for 50 Minutes. I have two problems with this....One is if I was told it would be that long of a wait I would have left and come back another day. Second, when you see nail technicians on their cell phones after their last client left its very frustrating. There seems to be a lack of customer service and concern for patrons. I know this place is successful, but if they keep this type of service up they will lose one customer at a time. read more

This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to. My gel manicure looked horrible and the nail tech rushed the whole thing. I literally had to tell her that she filed my nails crookedly and that they needed to be fixed. Her reasoning for them being crooked was because my nails were thin, which made no sense. She would put a whole glob of nail polish on each nail, and it was a mess. The end result was horrible. I told them that I definitely wasn't paying full price, and that I wanted the gel manicure taken off. I soaked the manicure off and ended up leaving with nothing on my nails. read more

I came to this place because I noticed a couple girls I work with have amazing nails and they said they come here. First I went in when they were busy and ended up waiting an hour, walk-ins who came in after me were taken before me. The system in which they take clients is very unorganized. Went in for a full acrylic set with gel polish. They charge you extra for anything more than the length of your original nails. I feel like my nails were very rushed, but this could have been because they were very busy. The acrylic wasn't shaved down enough and is extremely uneven on both the shape of the nail and the smoothness of the acrylic overlay of the nail. The gel polish was very gloppy and messy. There was glue and gel nail polish all on my skin that I had to take off myself. Didn't leave a tip. Maybe you'll get good service if you go on a day that is less busy, but I don't even want to risk it. My sister had a similar experience, the nail tech we went to was Lyn. read more

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. The manicurist who did my nails ripped the skin on the side of my nails and she was so rude. My naps weren't shaped right either. And the salon is pretty dirty read more

Do not go here. They will take someone they know before you even if you walked in first. It's blatant and demonstrates a lack of customer service and curtesy. I also notice that they treat minorities with a lesser degree of customer service than white customers. Finally, I was hugely disappointed by the end product. This is unacceptable. DO NOT support this business. read more

This place is tricky, you have to go to the right nail tech, which is only like 2 of them, Kelly being one. I come here when my usual nail salons I go to are booked. Came here a few weeks ago with my boyfriend for pedicures. He had never had one and his feet were not that bad for being a man, but like we all do, he needed the dead skin scrubbed off the bottom. After we left I looked under our feet and noticed while my dead skin was only partially scrubbed (nail tech did not really scrub them for that long), my boyfriend's had barely any difference. Also, I got a gel pedi and she started the gel pretty far back from the beginning of my toe nails, meaning it already looked grown out. I would only come here in desperate measures. read more

Everyone is very welcoming and adjust to your needs. Tweety, the owner, always recognizes my voice on the phone. She always talks to me and checks out my nails before I leave. Kelly does the best work. She always does the most unbelievable designs. read more

Nails 2000 - Nail done by Kelly - Nail Salons Near Me - East Hanover, New Jersey

This place is the most horrible place I've ever been. Literally don't even bother coming here I got acrylics LAST WEEK during spring break and already had to come back for nail repair the following week due to the fact that the glue didn't even hold. And they made me still pay full price for the shitty repair, if you need your nails PROPERLY done, do yourselves a favor and DON'T come here!! I'd give it a 0 stars if I could. read more

I've been coming to nails 2000 for 8 years now, and I am never disappointed. Kelly does an amazing job and always makes sure I leave happy.

I just wanna start out by saying that I love this place and it is my go-to, I come here every few weeks to get my nails done and get waxed, and most of the time I am very happy. But there is an inconsistency of skills in the staff. On my last trip not only did I get my finger cut and start bleeding while my nails were getting done but the skin near my eyebrows got burnt. I went on Friday and my skin is still red and burnt. I don't have a regular technician and usually I will go with anyone who is available but maybe I will have to start requesting certain people after this last trip. read more

I've given this place a lot of chances over the years. It's the only local nail salon with decent prices as well as a nice staff. However, the job they've done on my nails has never been up to par. I wouldn't consider myself a picky person, however, when I leave the nail salon I expect no lumps or bumps, and nails that will last the standard two weeks. This rarely happens when leaving Nails 2000. I've always blown it off because I'm just not that picky. However, my last appointment 8 days ago was much different. When I arrived, I asked for a gel fill-in and an eyebrow wax. They began my nails first. I noticed here was a pretty clear "lump" on one of my nails before the nail technician began painting, I pointed it out, she looked at the finger, didn't acknowledge me, immediately began speaking in her language to her colleagues, and proceeded to fix the finger. Then, because of that as well as a smudge she had to fix (that I admitted was my fault), I no longer had time for an eyebrow wax, as I had an appointment to get to. I mentioned this to my nail technician as she began putting the final coat of clear gel over my nails. She got to the third nail and as I told her I couldn't get my eyebrows done due to my OWN miscalculation, SHE PUT THE CLEAR GEL AWAY & PICKED UP A NORMAL TOP COAT. The whole entire room of workers began speaking in their own language and kept looking over at me, clearly making it known that they were speaking about me. I pay full price for my nails, never complain, wait as long as needed because I usually am a walk-in, and even admitted that the time miscalculation was MY FAULT. Since then, the 3 nails that had the gel on top of it have stayed on and EVERY SINGLE OTHER NAIL FELL OFF IN 8 DAYS. I honestly usually wouldn't be that mad because everyone has always been fairly pleasant. But after that experience, I will not be visiting again. I've never gone as far as writing a mean yelp review after a bad experience, but it is clear that this place only "favors" their favorite customers. Looks like I need to find another go-to salon. read more

I have been going here for years! I have tried other places out of curiosity and have never been as satisfied with the results as I am with Nails 2000. Everyone is genuine and create a happy and comfortable atmosphere and actually talk to you when they work unlike other nail salons. Nails 2000 also has excellent customer service. They have come in early and stayed open late for me at times. They will do whatever you request....no matter what they will make it happen! Tweety is the best! Jackie and Nina are also great. Nina gives great pedicures and if you can catch Heidi on a rare occasion she is the amazing with pedicures as well. Also I get my eyebrows waxed there and I would never trust anyone else with it. They brush your brows out, trim them and do great shaping for only $8 bucks! You can't beat it! read more

They did a good job and reasonably priced... and they are nice... they have a lot of people coming in and out.. 30 bucks for mani pedi...

Aimee always does a wonderful job on my nails. My nails last up to 4 weeks. Won't go anywhere else.

I don't think I will return to this nail salon. Walked in yesterday for a regular manicure. The place does not seem clean at all. I waited for around 25 minutes but my entire manicure was completes in under 10 minutes. I was with a friend and the same nail clipper, etc that was used on her were used on me without being cleaned. The same lady started her manicure and then switched over to me after one of the other women became available to paint my friend's nails. My nails were painted with a thick top coat which gave it a very "goopy" appearance and after ONE day, 7 of my 10 nails have chipped. Definitely will not be returning here in the near future. read more

Will not be returning to this nail salon again. Went in for a regular pedicure and acrylic french tips, most salons range for about 50 dollars for that service, it cost me 70 bucks! Now mind that I do not mind paying extra for good service but this experience was nothing special. When I went to pay, the nail tech grabbed my card and ran it without confirming the price with me! Disappointed and aggravated. read more

If I could leave no stars I would!! I needed to get my nails done for my wedding day and I saw this place all I wanted was French tip I payed $30 dollars which was not worth it at all my nails don't even match and I have so many bubbles in my nails! But it was last minute an I didn't have time to go anywhere else not to sure what her name is but she is the 4 desk on the right side very rude she got mad at me for telling her to redo one nail cause it was tilted and it still didn't come out any good I'm not sure about the rest of the staff but if they let me walk out that door without even fixing my nails then that said a lot about the rest of the workers I was already frustrated with the lady and ready to leave didn't make a big deal but did tell her I was not satisfied with the nails and she didn't seem to care! So pease save your money for somewhere worth paying! read more

Went in to get pedicures with two friends, they made us wait forever to get services and then rushed us through the entire pedicure. I think the entire pedicure was done in 10 mins, maybe 15. So today I got my nails done by this lady named Heidi I think it was, she messed up my nails very much I do not recommend her because 2 of my other friends also got their nails done by her and she messed them up. They were shaped very badly and she gave me an attitude when I asked her to fix them.
