Finally!!!!!! Bout Time! Sweet Jesus, this town is starving for this! I get so stressed with selection of nail salons in this area and nobody has anything remotely has nice has this! Squeaky clean, expensive massage chairs and nice relaxing spa music playing. Thank you for that! Nothing I hate more than obnoxious flat screen tv's with CC jerry springer dum dum shows playing. Not gonna have to put up with that here! Also, nail techs leave you alone to veg, chill out or be on your phone without interrupting you in your zone. PuhLenty of polish, brands to choose from! So since moving to California this was the 2nd time I got my nails done. The first time was when I first moved out here and it was the worst, one of my nails ended up not growing back the way it should and I couldn't trust anyone. I began doing research on Yelp and asking people I met. I saw the reviews for here and I made an appointment. I got the best Nail technician I could, Grace! Have nothing but love for my experience with nail pop thus far. 3 days into my mani and no problems. They were super sweet, accommodating as we arrived late after the dog escaped twice on our way to get our self love time. We both got gel with fun art detail we found while sitting getting started (on line) My friend enjoyed the wine service and I loved my hand massage that was everything I needed and more after a long work day! I visited this salon on opening day and was very impressed. It was very clean and had a huge selection of colors. I also really liked how each gel color had a matching traditional polish. It is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. They are also running a special through the end of the year for 20% off all services. My manicure is spectacular. I love to get designs and Grace never disappoints. You can show her almost any picture and she can duplicate it. I live in Mira Mesa and it is definitely worth the drive to go here. read more

My 6-year-old daughter and I visited NAILPOP for the first time today. I called to make a very last-minute appointment; Grace was very helpful on the phone and said we could come right in . The salon was incredibly clean and decorated very nicely. Our nail technicians were Amy and Tom who were both very professional, efficient, and did great work on our nails! Amy gave my daughter "bumblebee toes" and "ladybug fingers" and Tom gave me a lovely mani/pedi. The prices are a little on the higher side but certainly not terrible (we're from Oceanside, where the nail salons are a little cheaper). In need of some nail art, I read tons of reviews before calling up Grace and asking if she could do some Marvel Comics nail art. She said yes and had a time slot available for me within 30 minutes. I showed up and walked in to a serene, clean atmosphere with spa music playing in the background. Grace welcomed me in and sat me down. I showed her some pics of a few ideas I liked and she got to work right away. I appreciated that she opened up her sterilized equipment in front of me. She's very easy to talk to or just sit quietly while her expert hands go to work NOTE: all the the Captain America shields were hand drawn by Grace! No need for stickers here! I chatted on and off with a nearby customer, her nail technician, and Grace. When my nails where finished, Grace massaged my hands and arms with a wonderful smelling lemongrass and tangerine oil and warm lotion. The entire process took about 1:20 hrs. Note that while they have water available for you, I opted for a complimentary soda (Diet Coke). 5-star experience all-around. I'm coming back in October to see Grace for a Halloween nail art project! Can not wait! read more

Khan is the best!! He did my nails for my wedding and he was so kind and talented. I got so many comlpiments on my nails which were all sparkles and little diamonds. The salon itself is nice and they always squeeze me in for a walk-in. I really enjoy all the people who work here. I would agree that it is a more fast-paced salon but that is one of the main reasons I go as I don't have a lot of free time and I appreciate them getting me in and out. Grace has been the heart and soul of this business for years. She is the reason I have been coming here for five years. I don't know what's recently happened, but she is somehow no longer the manager, and I am uncomfortable with the new management. It's now harder to get appointments; it is harder to communicate with the front desk; and it is not the same warm and welcoming environment that it has always been (the management no longer knows the clients). It's clear that nail techs are getting yelled at now and it is a very tense vibe in the salon recently. What happened? It's sad to see a location tank like this. I'm ready to move on. Move to San Marcos recently and need to find a good nail salon place that are close by. Searching on Yelp and found this lovely place and gave it a shot. My lovely mermaid nail done by Grace. After my first time coming here I am hooked! Rose was my very first nail artist (yesterday) and she did an amazing job on my gel manicure; she was so gentle removing my cuticles (worlds most sensitive cuticle girl here haha); also great attention to detail! My second time was today with Jessica; she was super gentle as well when removing my cuticles! Amazing massage and pedicure experience. Staff is very friendly and attentive. I got nail fungus from here. I've been doing acrylics with them for the past 8 weeks and I haven't seen them sanitize their tools at all. They struggle with shaping the nails, just a simple almond shape, they struggle wjth simple designs and following simple requests. The nail tech I usually get is the youngest woman there and my first time there she took one look at my nails, started laughing, and showed her coworker who was sitting next to her. This last time I went (8 weeks later) I asked her to take the acrylic off the nail that had fungus and she threw a tantrum, she yelled, stomped, said "I'll do it next time" and I said "no, take it off now." I was trying to speak quietly but she was speaking louder and louder and arguing with me about how I shouldn't remove the acrylic nail. Finally she removes it and looks at me, bends my actual nail a couple times, and laughs at how fragile my nail was. She is not professional at all, she is belittling, lacks skill, has no respect for her customers and their requests. It's overpriced for such a crappy salon with poor skills anyway. read more

I just moved to Encinitas and needed to find a new nail place. NAILPOP was the the first one that came up and it was so close to my new place I figured I'd give it a shot. I made an appointment with Grace to do my finger nails too. From the reviews I figured I'd give it a try to get my nails ombré, and I absolutely love them!! I've never done this style, since I always had the classics pink and white French style, but Grace did such an amazing job I will most likely go with this style from now on. I highly recommend you make an appointment to see Grace if you want ombré style. The place is so clean, everyone is so nice and friendly and the variety of colors and brands is great! read more

It's like a sweat shop in there. Paid for upgraded pedicure to get massage - Got NONE. No massage with my manicure. And it cost me close To $100. No thanks. I'll go somewhere else Where I feel as if my business is Valued. They even had an unlicensed (I asked...) worker helping to take my previous gel manicure off. I got a gel manicure with Tiffany and she did a great job and was really sweet. All the employees just seemed happy to be there, great vibe overall, and they have some nice little touches, like putting SPF on the back of your hands before putting them in the UV machine, and using warm oil for the hand/arm massage. You can tell they take pride in what they do. I will definitely be back! read more

I had to update my review for a couple of reasons. My 4 daughters and I get our nails done on a regular basis, so we have a lot of experience with nails. Since going to nail pop and having my nails done by Grace, I noticed that my nails started to brake very easily compared to other places. I had a nail that broke the very next day, and I do not do anything out of the ordinary with my nails. As a matter of fact, I have a house keeper, so I don't do heavy house work. I really liked the location, and I liked the atmosphere, so I decided to keep going and give them another shot. I then referred my sister in law. She had a birthday party event and wanted her nails to look nice. She went to Grace and had her nails done and three nails broke within a couple of days. She went back and asked Grace to fix her nails, and was not expecting her to fix them for free. She was willing to pay for the repairs. However, Grace started yelling at her and telling her that she needed to be careful with her nails and that there was no guarantee for nails. Grace continued to fix her nails, but she was not being gentle and was pulling roughly on her hands. My sister in law asked her to stop yelling at her, and Grace told her that she would fix her nails but to never go back. It was a humiliating experience for my sister in law I would not recommend nail pop to anyone. I will never go back or take my 4 teenage daughters there. Grace, you need to treat people with respect. Your behavior was unprofessional and demeaning. You have lost 6 customers because of this incident. read more

This is the worst nail place I have ever entered. They were rude, and did a terrible job on my nails. Deliberately cracked two nails, and attempted to repair them. I do not know how this place is in business. I also do not believe they keep the tools sanitized. I am considering reporting them to the better business bureau. My beautiful nails are now destroyed and need to grow back. I highly suggest that you do not go there. I would not want anyone else to have the experience that I had. read more

Save your money! If you just want a normal manicure / pedicure, I would look elsewhere. I went Monday and my nails had chipped by Wednesday. Everything is an up charge. You want a hand massage with your manicure, that's an extra $4. Would you like a "complimentary" glass of wine, extra $3. I can speak to their shellac / gel manicure but my easy manicure / pedicure was crap. read more
