If you have artificial nails and want elaborate nail art, then this might be a great salon for you. My experience getting a Signature Manicure for my natural nails was more mixed. I found the website for Nailpedia to be clear and user friendly. Through the website, I booked an appointment for a Signature Manicure with Summer, the business's owner. It turned out that having the appointment for a specific time and with a specific tech meant nothing. I had to wait around 15 minutes, same as the walk ins who came while I was there, and the first tech available did my nails. Having made my appointment for the Signature Manicure also seemed irrelevant. The woman doing my nails asked if I wanted a basic manicure. When I clarified I wanted the Signature, she did not proceed based on the business's description of that service. She seemed to try to clarify what I meant, asking if I wanted the scrub or wax? Parafin is not described as part of the Signature Manicure. It is a separate charge. Now I was confused! We managed to get on the same page. The woman doing my nails handed me two batches of samples for colors. When I was looking at them, she took one batch away. I asked if they were the same? I didn't quite catch her answer. I started to say I wanted something sheer. She quickly took the samples away from me and said, "We have sheer." My nails were cut and shaped and the tech did ask if they were how I wanted them. I was a little concerned because I did not see the tools used on my nails come out of a sealed packet or out of a sanitizer. I am going to trust that they were properly cleaned. A product in a squeeze bottle was also used in the process, but was unlabeled. I am used to a salon where sanitization procedures are unmistakeable and all products are clearly labeled. After shaping my nails, the tech did the scrub, which started out with an exfoliating texture, but when a lot of water was added it quickly became more of a lather. It felt like I was getting my hands and arms washed more than exfoliated. Fast forwarding to the color, the tech put it on without checking if it was what I had in mind. It wasn't. I wanted a light, sheer pink. What I got was more the color of my skin. The tech did a good job on my nails, but the overall experience was not what I was expecting. The website and scheduling system made it seem like I could begin to establish a relationship with a particular tech who would get to know me and my nails. The reality was that it felt like any other nail salon where you walk in without an appointment and get a quick manicure or pedicure. Again, it might be a different experience if you are getting a more specialized service.
Kai was my nail tech and he did a fantastic job! showed him a pic from Pinterest and he did well recreating it. Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area and need a fill b4 your vacation really starts. Only thing is I wished they played some music cuz ngl it was v v quiet in the salon

After trying so many, I finally came to Nailpedia and now go there routinely for my manis and pedis. I've had just about everyone there for both services and they always get it right. The owner, Summer, is my favorite for manicure designs and even remembers the things I'm picky about without me needing to remind every visit. She has a real talent and eye for the smallest details. I also love that she checks in with you to make sure the shape/length is to your liking. The inside is also the cleanest I've been to on island. So many others around here are super run down and not taken care of.

Made a 2 pm appointment, upon arriving someone flashed an appointment book but never looked at it. I didn't get invited to a pedi chair until 2:27. Kai did a nice job with my pedicure but then Hana cut my nails so short they actually hurt when I asked for a manicure on my natural nails. Everyone who is a walk in is told 15-20 min wait, but even if you have an appointment you're still going to wait because they're not turning anyone away.

Kai, Nancy, Lilly and summer are all SO TALENTED! just received the best gel builder manicure and pedicure I've gotten In many years. I HIGHY RECOMMEND this salon for any services you might need
Love this place, today Summer and Michelle gave me the best mani pedi! I always get great service here but it gets better and better every time. Every time I get gel pedi and gelX extensions and they do it erfect. It's never too bulky or crooked or anything. This place is the best!

He did an excellent pedicure service with a beautiful rainbow chrome design. Kai also did an expert job on my nails giving me a lovely, well shaped soft gel fill. Kai seems to be a master with the builder gel and I highly recommend you get your nails done by him. The services cost double what I pay in Los Angeles but that's basically Maui. The salon is pleasant and new. The spa chairs are new and better than any I've experienced. I don't think you can go wrong coming to this nail salon.

So happy this place was recommended to me. I had a horrible experience at another place in town a few days before my wedding and needed to get my nails fixed. He did an excellent pedicure service with a beautiful rainbow chrome design. Kai also did an expert job on my nails giving me a lovely, well shaped soft gel fill. Kai seems to be a master with the builder gel and I highly recommend you get your nails done by him. The services cost double what I pay in Los Angeles but that's basically Maui. I love Nailpedia. The salon is so clean and comfortable and the prices are fair. I love Kai, he does such a good job on my nails and always brings cute designs I find online to life! I'm from/live in Lahaina and I was in Kihei just for a weekend.. I had a wedding to attend to, so at the last minute I decided to get my nails done. I didn't have any appointment. So I did a walk-in. (they accept walk ins) It was such a beautiful scenery inside! Very peaceful & calming. This area is recently new! Everyone was welcoming and kind. The lady that did my nail was Summer (the owner of the salon) with the help of Savannah! They were awesome! You'll be in really good hands. Definitely will come here again! Very satisfied. read more
