EDIT** they reached out to "make it right" and then blocked my number when I called and texted!!!!!! Text stopped going through and when I call it goes straight to voicemail. Which is what happens when you get blocked. I would avoid giving this place your business. Super sketchy!!! They only responded to make them look good but they weren't going to do anything. I was SO disappointed in this place and I am so sad it wasn't great! I came here for my wedding nails, after 3.5 hours and being called a "picky bride" so many times I left with one of the worst manicures I've ever had. I wasn't being picky, she was just terrible at painting on French tips. I wanted extensions with a French tip chrome. The chrome was is over my cuticles, and uneven on my nails and the French tip they painted each finger by hand and they're all different lengths and thicknesses. My toes look great but they were just white and no design. I think this place can do the bare minimum just fine, but anything additional is French tip, ombré, etc. hard pass. My MOH came too for ombré nails and they looked SO awful. Probably worse than my nails. They were not blended. They used a brush to blend and there were brush strokes. Her nail tech was even ruder than mine when we tried to ask for her to fix it. Both our fiancés (now my husband) could tell the nails were bad as were used to much better nail techs where we live in Washington. We came back so upset especially because these were for my wedding nails. Don't waste your money or your time coming her for anything other than a basic manicure or pedi. The ladies were super rude to us. It shouldn't take 3.5 hours for a pedicure and manicure. Biggest waste of $170 I've ever spent. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Great nail salon in South Kihei. Enjoy coming here at the start of my vacation to get pampered and have great looking nails for all our photos. Smaller set up, but makes it nice. Good massage chairs and a slight view of the ocean vibes. Would definitely come back!
I was so happy to secure a walk-in appointment. Ruby worked her magic and delivered an exceptional service. Let's take a moment to appreciate the plumeria nail art she crafted --it' absolutely stunning! Thank you Ruby!
I would not recommend the gal with straight bangs who did my nails. She made my cuticle bleed. The polish is uneven. She was unpleasant. $55 for a crummy job. Update-I called and Phi, the owner redid my nails. She did an excellent job. Thank you.
Hands down the best nail salon I've been to. I'm not from Kihei but came here from a neighboring island so if you're visiting or live here this is the place to go!! Phi is the nicest person and you can tell she's passionate about her craft. I got the Maui manicure which comes with hot towels, 15min arm massage and shoulder massage. I legit never want to have a "basic" manicure again. Plus Phi made me Vietnamese iced coffee which was delicious!
I decided to get a manicure for my birthday weekend, my first time getting my nails done in the 2 years I've lived on Maui. This salon has great reviews including customer images but my manicure took an extremely long time which I would have been okay with if the end result showed it but instead I wasted 1.5 hours and $70+. Of course I paid and tipped the artist. She was friendly I guess but I felt like I was a bother to her by the end of the time in the chair. Sat in my car and cried before heading off to another salon to get my nails redone. Will not be returning to Queens. Edit: I would appreciate a response from the owner to see if I can get a full or partial refund for the extremely poor quality I received.
Maui manicure and pedicure are an excellent value, and the Vietnamese iced coffee is the best. The gel manicures here last. My last appointment was May 20. Photo is Aug 12. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because the manicurist clipped me a couple times. My new usual routine is 1) arrive in Kihei, 2) make appointment at Queen's Nails.
Original review: Fantastic! We messaged them through yelp late last night about popping in with four of us getting mani/pedi's next day, and they were prompt in responding! We HIGHLY recommend the Maui Mani- the massages they give as part of this service is out of this world! All four nail technicians assisting us were friendly and respectful- Donna helped me, and was incredibly detailed with her work on my nails. We booked appointments for massages again for next week at the end our vacation. 10/10 would absolutely go again and recommend to anyone looking for great service UPDATE: Coming back for a 14-days-later update because this might be the best manicure I've ever had in my life. Granted, I don't get manicures on the regular, but I've treated myself a lot in my high school and college days. Two weeks have gone by and they are still PERFECT I'm pretty rough on my hands (I garden, lots of hand washing dishes, and am constantly playing with my nails- especially when they get long) they've grown out, of course, but they haven't cracked chipped or peeled at all- good quality stuff expertly applied! Thanks so SO much again!
If you're looking to pamper yourself in paradise then this is the place to go!!! Sis pay extra for the gel -you're on vacation, splurge! Make an appointment and get the Maui Mani (I can only review on the mani because that's all I got) you won't regret it! The owner did mine she's sweet and gives a mean shoulder massage - it's included in a Maui Mani:). Aloha and enjoy
We all know getting a mani/pedi can be expensive here on Maui. I have to say $55 is decent but you do get what you pay for. If you're going for minimalist this is exactly what you get, yes they soak your hands and feet they do file and clean your cuticles but really more effort could've been put into it. For one the cuticle trimmers needed to be sharpened. Every cut of my cuticle felt like she was pulling on them instead of cutting, that was a little uncomfortable. The nail polishes they have were old, like dry sticky old. I opened a few to see the color inside and openings were crusty and the polish was tacky not very fluid. Even the clear she used, she had to continually wipe the opening because it was so dry it became stringy every time she dipped the brush in and out of the bottle. As far as I can tell there is no a/c, for Kihei that's a no brainer. There is a fan that made it comfortable but if it was in the middle of summer, the a/c better be on! Why 3 stars you ask? There was no wait time, parking is available in front, the lady gave a good massage although it lasted less than a min per foot and hand. They use plastic covers for the pedi bath, making it sanitary. Otherwise the shop is on the small size and could use a deep cleaning and better organization. They do offer massages and facials in the back room. Would I go again? Probably not. I would pay $10 more dollars at another shop with better services. Just a note, I did not take a photo of my manicure. I only asked for clear coat and didn't bother taking a photo... sorry
Am the first pedi appointment of the day and came because my daughter recommended as I am at risk to COVID (have underlying health issues). They have installed a clear plastic curtain around two of their pedi chairs which I thought was clever. Got the Maui pedi with white tip. Loved it all. Phi (Fee) did an amazing job. Included is upper back, neck and shoulder massage!!! BLISS!! Totally recommend!!

I came to this cute shop for a fill since it was near where I was staying. Phi did an amazing job and so I ended up getting a pedicure and a wax service. I saw they used the razor for the pedicure and asked and they used it on my feet. Was so happy since they don't use it in California anymore. A lot of locals were in and out so I know it must be a great place. Can't wait to get a massage before I leave! Would highly recommend Queen's Nails. I would make an appointment because they are a busy shop. read more

Wonderful experience for my sister, my daughter, and me. It was my daughter's first experience getting a manicure and she can't wait to go back. My sister opted for a pedicure and said it's the best foot massage she's ever gotten. We were there a week ago and my polish is still going strong and looks as good as the day she painted them. Plus, they were kind and friendly and gave us apositive experience/memory together that will last a lifetime. read more

Run! My nails came out terrible, lumpy and she actually used a combination of clear and white nails for my acrylic. The staff were nice and took us the same day which was nice, but the job was rushed and there was minimal attention to detail. My daughter's nails we're cut in like 4 different places. I don't know how this place has 4.5 starts but I'm now going somewhere else to get them fixed as soon as I can. What a fun way to spend my vacation. read more

I had an absolutely impeccable experience at this spa! My nail tech was the owner, and she was a delight! You can tell she has put tons of love and hard work into her business. I have never been to a nail place that autoclave/statim sterilizes their tools. Usually you can see that other places just dump their tools in a bucket full of murky quats and other tools. This place is incredibly clean! & Not only are they good with manicures/pedicures- the massages are phenomenal! read more

I had the best experience! They had great availability I booked the appointments the same day. The staff was every friendly! They took Covid precautions plexiglass in between me and the nail tech, they all wore facemasks, and the pedicure station had a plastic curtain dividing me from the nail tech. I was extremely happy with the finished product! read more

First visit was yesterday for a deluxe pedicure. It was so nice, the 15 minute massage that came with the package was the best part. George was the highlight of our time. Very funny and great conversation. We liked them so much we decided to book a gel manicure and a massage for the following day. I really appreciated that they didn't use a dremel tool for my nails. She did a great job and was very sweet. I highly recommend Queen's Nails! read more
