Sue is my favorite. Shes very sweet and makes sure she does a good job always checking on me if I'm okay and if I love the color and design. Always get a gel pedicure with a chrome finish, including tax, credit card processing fee, and tip- comes out to about $98. It's just not worth it... The gel is all bubbly and it's even more obvious after the chrome finish has been done. The ladies are so sweet but $98 for a bubbly pedicure is crazy, save your $$ and go somewhere else read more

This really is the best place to get your nails done. The service is great, it's clean, welcoming and the staff is very friendly. I recommend anyone request Mi or Brenda to get your nails done. They are nice, have great customer service, check in with you and ask you questions to make sure you're getting the nails you want. They are gentle when working with your hands and actually do nail care. This is the first time I've EVER gone to a nail salon and haven't experienced painful finger nails after getting acrylics or a fill and my cuticles are not sore or damaged by the techs. I always walk out of there feeling happy about the quality and service I receive, I also get complimented often for my nails. I've gone there 3xs in the last 2-3 month so far to get my nails done and I am always happy to leave and excited to return. Schedule an appointment beforehand as they are often busy. read more

From self-care to being shame -- not the experience I signed up for. I've been to this salon several times in the past and had positive experiences. I am always extremely polite and appreciative -- which makes this recent visit all the more disappointing. The nail technician, Tracy (Thu Thuy huynh), was unprofessional and shockingly rude throughout the entire appointment. She made several unkind and inappropriate comments, including telling me (several times) my feet were too dry and saying, "If you take care of your feet, you might actually get a boyfriend." (which is hilarious to me because I have a partner and also who says that to someone?? LOL) At one point, she asked if I had kids, and when I said no, she replied, "Well, it looks like a kid painted your nails." She even asked if I walk barefoot often (which is pretty common on Maui), and when I said yes, she said, "Yeah, I can tell." She even pressured me at one point to drink the beverage they offered, as if it was somehow offensive that I hadn't finished it all the way. Her tone and energy were mean-spirited from start to finish. To make things more uncomfortable, both nail technicians (one doing a pedi and one doing a mani) -- although I can't say for certain -- seemed to be talking negatively about me while doing my nails. They were speaking to each other in a language I didn't understand, laughing, and making side comments. Whether or not they were actually speaking about me, the vibe was clear: and it was very uncomfortable to sit through. Thankfully, I didn't take any of it personally. I work in the helping profession and can see that this behavior reflects some deep unhappiness within the technician herself. That said, I had come in to treat myself ahead of my birthday, and what should have been a peaceful and special moment of self-care ended in frustration and disappointment. This will be my first and last time with this nail tech -- and, unfortunately, my last time at this salon. After reading how the manager responds to other customer complaints, I don't feel confident that this kind of treatment will be taken seriously or addressed. I sincerely hope Tracy gets the help she needs, and that future clients -- especially those who may not have a strong sense of self -- are treated with more care, kindness, and basic respect. read more

I've been coming to Best Nails Spa when they first opened, years ago when it was named something else. Every time I come here alone, with friends, or family, it is such a great experience! The salon itself is clean and decorated very well. The massage chairs and manicure desks look nice and new. They even put a seating area with a couch and a doll house for kids and other families members if they wanted to stay and wait. They give you a complimentary drink of choice: water, juice, hot tea, iced/hot coffee, and champagne. Their prices are also pretty affordable compared to other salons I've been too. After 10 visits, you get a free basic pedicure! I especially like this salon because the tools they use for each person is always sanitized and packaged. They grab the scrubs and lotion and place them on a tray for each person, rather than grabbing from a big tub with their hands or gloves (which I've seen other salons do). They are very sanitary. The service here is overall a lot more welcoming than other salons. There is minimal laughing and talking in their language, again compared to other salons, making guests feel more comfortable. They are also meticulous and detailed when doing your nails. They don't seem to rush. I highly recommend this salon above all the others! read more

She is very detailed. I always get "my Hawaiian flower" on my captain toes. She is also an excellent detailed polish painter, polish never touches the cuticle, yet goes to the edge. Came here once in 2020 and since then I (and others that I've introduced this salon to) don't go anywhere else for pedis and acrylics! They by far are the best! They do excellent pedis, and take their time making sure to clean you up perfectly. I have ingrown in my toes, and this is the only place I've gone to where I don't have to ask them to take it out, and ALL of it! I walk out pain free, and with exceeded satisfaction every time. Vi is amazing at her designs and giving you exactly what you want. I showed her a picture that she looked at for literally just a few seconds and she nailed what I had in mind. I even told her "OMG YOU READ MY MIND!!" They are awesome friendly people, that do not pressure you or try to up-sale you at all. What a change 6 months makes. No social distancing. No cleaning off stations between clients. I called for an appointment on a Thursday for the following Sunday. I confirmed the appointment on Sunday morning when they opened, and they said no problem, to come on in at 3:30pm I arrived at 3:20 and waited to be acknowledged, as every station was full and there were 3 people sitting in the waiting chairs as well. The manager finally asked what I needed, and I told her I was here early for my waxing appointment that I scheduled for 3:30pm. She said they were very busy and for me to come back at 5:30pm. I told her no, I made an appointment and can't do that. I also reiterated that she confirmed my appt. for 3:30 pm. She told me she didn't. I was quite annoyed at this point so I took my phone out and showed her the call log for each time I called. Not only the DaKine number but also the Best Nails number. She denied it being her. SO I pressed call, and the phone in her pocket started to ring. She then changed her tune and said that she remembered after all. I told her that I just didn't want the appointment anymore. She was so dismissive and made it seem like I was wrong and never called them for an appointment. She apologized and said she would have somebody else do my waxing. Somebody came from the lunch area and said she would help me at that point. I should've honestly just left, but I needed this badly. Well, she cut my face with the tweezers when she dragged it across my face. I am so disappointed in this experience. Back to the search I go. read more

This was my second time visiting this nail salon. The first time was horrific the woman was yanking my arm, so many times that she almost pulled it out of its socket. I literally had to go get a massage immediately after. I gave them a second chance and saw the owner today. I am very unhappy with my nails. I told her that I didn't want them thick and they were all uneven. When I go get my nails done I expect them to be patient with me but this place isn't they act like they're in a rush and they want you to pick a color really fast and everything is so fast and uncomfortable. I made an appointment to get a gel manicure. Not only was I seated 20 mins late, but I probably waited another 10 mins until someone actually started doing my nails.I never leave a review, but there was just a carelessness when it came to painting my nails. There is nail polish on three of my fingers and on several of my nails I don't think the polish cured correctly. I had someone waiting for me so I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't say anything which I kind of regret. I came here out of convenience while waiting for my condo to be ready for check in. The manager looked friendly and welcoming but everyone else looked like they just had to be there. I waited about 30 minutes for my pedicure which was fine because they were short staffed. But don't tell me you can take me if I'm going to have to wait. Or at least be honest, not stick me in a chair and now I'm stuck. My husband got his pedicure done first and I still hadn't started mine. He had time to leave to go shopping. You would think after waiting for my service, the mail tech would make up for it - be friendly, talk, give me a longer massage, etc. nope. It was like she did what she had to do, rubbed my legs, and painted my toes. The paint job was okay, but I'm OCD and can do better so I don't hold others to that standard. But she tried putting my sandals on while my toes were still wet, which messed some up, but I'm not going to cause a scene. Long story short, it's a nice place, the manager is nice. But they can't control their employees. I hope they take this review as constructive criticism and work on getting better. read more

I went in for a pedicure, the lady who did my feet had pulled out an "ingrown" or so she says and now my right big toe is infected. I only came here twice and the first time was good, no infection no problems, but this time it was painful. Be careful and know what they are doing. read more

I did the classic pedicure for $34 because I was in a hurry, but when I checked my bank statement it shows they took $120.62. That's like almost four times of my pedicure price. I am a regular customer of the old owner and I never had this problem. I hope they will refund my money.... As of today: 05/12 they refund the money.
