We came here during our time on Maui and thought the manicures and pedicures here were fine. It was about $45 for the pedicures with the massage, and then the gel manicures were supposed to be $20 more, which is what we requested. However, when my manicurist was doing my manicure, she said that gel was better but I explained that it never really lasted much longer for me. She said she used a special ph base that helped it stay longer so I agreed. Extra $40 for that. But turns out it didn't last much longer for me anyways, so that was a bit annoying. What I found most annoying was another customer who was getting her pedicure finding out we weee from California and then proceeding to talk about how awful California was alongside some very odd conspiracy theories. Her pedicurist instead of changing the subject encouraged her to keep talking about that right in front of us even knowing we were from California. What a weird tension to have and how a rude customer was allowed to go on and on bagging on people's states like that was also odd, especially given the outright lies she was spewing. Not sure we would go back given the hostile environment we felt and that we did not bother to confront that misinformed customer about. read more

Jessica was lovely. She helped me choose a regular polish for my pedicure (I don't do gel). She pointed out a few of the more popular colors and I went with this coral orange one - perfect for the beach. She got my toenails trimmed and cleaned up in no time and was meticulous about the polish as she applied it. I really enjoyed chatting with her. She's truly a good-hearted kind person who makes you feel comfortable and at home while carefully attending to the pedicure. I walked out feeling very happy. Highly recommend this nail salon and Jessica in particular! read more

They did such an amazing job. If I'm ever back on the island, I'll definitely be going back. I showed them a photo of the look I wanted, and they got it just right on my natural nails. They really listened, took their time, and made sure not to cause any damage. I got so many compliments, and the nails lasted way longer than I expected. Definitely a keeper. If you care about both style and nail health, this place is a gem. read more

My wife and I went to No Ka 'Oi to get manis/pedis before our wedding on Maui. They did a great job on both of us, although I was slightly disappointed my technician couldn't do exactly what I wanted for my fingernails. Nails still turned out gorgeous, though, and high quality--we did gel for both nails and toes and they lasted 3+ weeks. My wife asked for purple ombré on her fingers and it turned out super cool and pretty! Their space was clean and calming. read more

Everything went well, Aunty Nancy did amazing!! Her attention to detail is beyond measures... I'm a lil picky when it comes to how my nails are done & I must say everything she's done from removing and old set I've had to placing a new full set... Mahalo to Luca, Nina & Nancy for a memorable experience in paradise. When my daughter & I walked in, we were immediately greeted with the Aloha spirit, which I very much appreciated. Nina was kind & friendly when I couldn't decide what I wanted. Luca is a detail oriented professional who did amazing work to make my nails perfect. They did such a great job with my nails! I went for a fill and my daughter had a gel manicure. I had two nails that had popped off and I was in desperate need for a repair. The owner (? so sorry didn't get her name) inspected my nails and found they were basically all ready to fall off because of inferior acrylic powder used to fill them. She told me she uses 'solar powder' which is more expensive but lasts longer. She checked my nails and yep they all easily popped off! I had had acrylics for 3 months so my natural nails were long underneath. She then mostly used the length of my own nails - with only two needing acrylic tips to craft and design my full set. They ended up a little shorter than my original set but I was fine with that. She did such a great job! She knew exactly what I needed and set me up for a gorgeous manicure. The whole time her phone was ringing off the hook. Walk-ins often had to come back later (which is what we did) so be sure to make an appointment in advance here. These women are very nice, professional and hardworking people! Highly recommend! read more

I booked the salon for my friend's bridal shower. I made the booking about a month or so early and then called the salon a week before to confirm. We were taken in late, but that wasn't so bad. The whole crew was nice and it was a great atmosphere. My only problem is that my toenail was cut way too short and now it is pretty sore. George started cutting without his glasses on and kept cutting after saying that he thought he cut my nails good but when he put his glasses on.... Anyway, I'm afraid it'll become ingrown. But everything else was pretty good. I know the rest of the party had a wonderful experience. Update 5/19/24- my toe got infected and ingrown. Nancy was kind enough to invite me back, but the drive and my schedule won't allow it for a while so that won't be happening. But FYI if ya'll are curious, the polish is going strong! read more

My cousin and I were looking for a place to get our nails done for a girl's day while in Maui since our hotel services were very pricey. We sought out this place and found out that the owner is Vietnamese so we bonded over our shared culture. Co Nancy is so nice and friendly! We had great conversation while getting our nails done. I'm glad to see that so many people had positive experiences here, but I simply cannot say the same. I came in needing a new acrylic set and while it was very nice they were able to squeeze me in without an appointment, I did not enjoy my time. Nancy was very aggressive in the removal process of my existing acrylics, during filing, and drilling. When I would pull my hands away in pain, she would comment on how sensitive I was. I have been getting acrylics done for five years and in no part of the process should there be filing on skin or such aggression on cuticles. The acrylic turned out lumpy and I asked for coffin and got something uneven and weirdly rounded. Not very pleased. read more

Very sweet owner and staff. Hubby and I got the Blue Hawaiian pedicures, which was the middle option of 3 choices, $45. The owner did my husbands feet because he had couple issues I wanted her to look at. She was good and cautious as I requested. We both enjoyed the pedi service. The best part of massage and scrub always ends too fast but no complaints, our feet looked and felt much better to start our vaca in Maui. This pic was nearly two weeks after but still pretty. This place is lovely! My mom & I have been trying out nail salons around Kihei, and so far we've had the best experience here! The staff is so kind and their attention to detail was on point. Nancy was so fun to talk to and genuinely such a nice person who cares about each person who walks in. They have a lot of different colors whether you're in for gel, regular mani, or dip. Can't say enough nice things about the ladies at No Ka 'Oi! We were able to come in same day for a couple's pedicure and it was just what we needed. Highly recommend the Maui Sunset with the hot stone massage. The massage chairs were great as well. They really took their time and did a very thorough and caring job with the pedicure and foot and leg massage. Left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Will definitely come back next time we are on Maui. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you are ok with an extremely budget experience, not picky about COVID, and ok with your technician drawing blood during a manicure. The technician had a plastic face support prop behind her mask (I had never seen anything like this worn before) that held the mask off of her face. I asked her about it, as I could see her entire nose in the one inch gap between the mask and her face and the mask obviously wasn't offering me any protection. She said her glasses fogged up without it and that I had nothing to worry about because of the plastic shield on the table. She pulled up her mask after that so it was no longer hanging off her face, but I doubt it was doing any good. The person I think was the owner was at the next station during this conversation with another customer and she definitely overheard it and didn't see any issue or get involved. They also did not ask for my vaccine card and had the door closed, so the fans were just recirculating air indoor air. In trimming my cuticles my technician drew blood on one finger, not being careful and cutting too deep. I'm now worried about an infection, as she rubbed the spot with her finger after noticing she drew blood. The manicure itself was ok, but she missed some edges, which is not obvious looking at the nail straight on, but noticeable from the side. Lastly, another customer who came in for a pedicure got into a shouting match with another person in the salon, which was uncomfortable, and shared TMI to her technician and everyone else in the small salon about her personal situation and why the other person was being unreasonable after they left. read more

This was a spur of the moment treat for myself and I had the best experience! Jessica, my manicurist was just awesome! She was very welcoming and really listened to what I was looking for. Jessica took the time to explain and helped me picked the best type for me. I'm not familiar with all the fancy types of manicures available these days so I showed her picture of what I wanted and she was able to give me exactly just that. She's amazing! Also the young man who did my Maui pedicure was also great. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name, but he did a wonderful job as well. However, almost five years later, it's darker, has smudged, migrated and is thicker on one eye. On May 3rd 2020, I contacted Emmi to express my concerns. She never responded. I have been using soft pink and flesh colored eyeliner makeup to cover it. After many consultations and research, I decided on laser removal. This was an incredibly painful procedure and left me swollen with black eyes and my eyelashes turned white and fell out. I'll know more in a few weeks whether I need another round of laser or if I can live with the residual. Two MD's who specialize in in cosmetic and laser procedures informed me most likely ink was used instead of pigment, which fades. Emmi is a very nice person with a gorgeous salon. I originally (2016) posted a rave review on Yelp because I loved my new eyeliner. I've since removed that review after realizing that after 4+ years, my eyeliner is not fading and isn't going to. I never would have done this if I knew it was literally "permanent" and does NOT fade.

I booked an appointment here and got in the very next day. I got a full set of eye lash extensions, it took about 2 hours and cost about $120 give or take. She did such a great job. It's been 11 days since my appointment and I have only lost a few lashes! I'm so impressed. The salon was also very relaxing and decorated so beautifully. Highly recommend!!!

Julie does so many things - hands, nails, lashes, so many different types of massages, etc. If I lived in Maui, she would easily be my one-stop shop for everything. Massage - Hands down, probably the best massage I've ever had. She targeted my shoulder and neck area because they were my most knot-filled areas and it was amazing. Her massage and pressure points felt like they had purpose instead of me being randomly punched. I had to force myself to keep my eyes open so I wouldn't fall asleep and not be awake to enjoy the benefits. She also gave really great advice and educated me about certain pressure points to take with me to future massages. Lashes - Refills looked even better than what I remembered having. Overall - I feel like Julie got the short end of the stick. The $170 price for the best 90-minute massage and lash refill for the quality I received in return was phenomenal and I can't wait to go back to her for all of my beauty needs when I'm in Maui. When it became time to pay, they added $10 to file down my nails (which is crazy because I've had acrylics for 10+ years and have NEVER seen that) and then charged another $10 for the shape (almond) and then another $20 for replacing 3 nails I broke (understandable but $20 is wild). So I ended up paying over $100 for a FILL. Which also took over an hour. It also says you get a free drink Monday-Friday from 2PM-5PM which I didn't get.
