Now Karen tans me every time I go. Also my local place in Seattle refers customers to her because she is so highly recommended. She recently tanned me last week and I have been home for 5 days now and still have the fresh Maui tan. She is super flexible and nice and fast! I will say it is important to listen to her instructions and follow them carefully because many people do airbrush spray tans differently - so just because the person you normally go to does it one way, does not mean it's the only way. Follow her instructions and you will have a perfect, long lasting tan. Also one thing that drives me crazy is when people leave a negative yelp review that never even received the service! Ignore the negative reviews as they are just people who didn't pay the deposit to hold the reservation! Karen is great!! I don't have a great photo to display her work but you get the idea.

I had it done in the evening so that it could sit overnight. I didn't wake up orange like most other products- just a nice, subtle, even tan. Next time I may have her go one more layer just to deepen the tan a bit. It still smells like you went to a tanning salon, but it didn't get all over my clothes. We corresponded via email about her tanning about 10 of my friends and family. She even traveled from Lahaina to Haiku to accommodate us! She was professional accommodating and so sweet. She tanned everyone! Myself, my husband, even my 85 year old grandmother who had never done it before but wasn't going to miss out on the fun! She explained post tan care, left pamphlets with instructions as reminders and seemed genuinely concerned that each of us were happy. She wouldn't leave without thoroughly inspecting my tan to make sure it was flawless for my big day! She even emailed me the morning of to wish me luck and to make sure I was happy with my results. That is going the extra mile. Long story short- my entire party loved Wendy. Each one of them has their own unique story as to how they landed at the island from previously working at the MAC counter in California to vacationing once and never wanting to leave the island or meeting their husband on the island but the common theme is their love for the island and the love of make up and hair which showed in their work. I've truly enjoyed this team immensely. The team really make sure you are feeling 100% before you leave to the venue, fixing last minute bobby-pin to changing the color of your lipstick completely because you didn't feel . Not to mention, they also took care of my mom and my MIL far after I left, making sure they're loving their make over as well. My wedding was back in Sept of 2022 and for me to now write a review shows how much of an impact they've made in my special day. I told them three things- I didn't want my ear to be sticking out, I didn't want my hair blowing in my face or sticking on me from the humidity and I'm very particular with the shape of my eyebrows. I spent days on Pinterest looking at different hair styles on how to hide my ear but the team took my inspo pictures and did their own thing, making it better than I can imagine. It speaks to her expertise that she could put on my eyelashes all while the hotel staff climbed ladders to fix the A/C, room service fluffed the pillows and bedding, dropped off a celebratory bottle and chocolates. She kept telling me we would later laugh about it and she's right. Aside from some general requests on how I wanted my hair and makeup to look, I trusted her to do her thing and she delivered. Even though Melissa wasn't available for the new date, she came THROUGH with finding someone last minute to fill in for her! You can't ask for a better customer service experience than that - especially during a time of high stress only being on the islands for a couple of days. Giovanna was AMAZING - we hit it off right away and her hair & makeup was ON POINT. She made me feel like myself and beautiful again during a time of self consciousness through the pregnancy. She has that touch where she can just literally make you look like "I woke up like dis!" and she's got awesome technique and airbrushing skills where I barely felt like I had anything on my face.
