I called later in the day to let them know about this, as the raw skin began to start to feel like it may get infected. My call was answered by a nice lady, but she then handed the phone to the lady who did my pedicure. I wasn't even able to explain what had happened before she immediately started arguing with me about how there is no way she could have hurt me because the alcohol would have hurt it? She didn't put any alcohol on my heel. She put it on my toes before she did the nail polish. The fact that this woman did not even care to hear what I had to say and immediately started aggressively denying anything happening at all is incredibly frustrating and, if anything, just proves that she knows she messed up. At the end of our phone call, I let her know that I was trying to call so that the business had an opportunity to fix this accident, but that since she was not working with me in the slightest, I would be leaving had bad review online. I had the best experience. I can truly say this is where I'll be coming now. I was impressed with not only the quality of the manicure and the cleanliness of the studio, but also the conversation with my nail tech Paulina and owner Crystal and the small, intimate feeling of the salon. I wasn't elbow to elbow with other clients or squeezing around work stations! Further, I felt super safe in regards to COVID precautions being taken by the salon with everybody wearing masks, receiving a temperature check at the door, being asked to wash my hands upon entrance, and Paulina wearing gloves and changing out paper towels and towels on her work station throughout my manicure. Finally, I'm really impressed with the social media presence of Nail Yeah!. I love that Crystal uses her business and her platform to amplify important causes. I love that I feel not only safe, but welcome as a gay client. I love that their values align with mine and I know I'm supporting good people and good values when I come to Nail Yeah!

I liked the short pinkish color I settled on. There want many options but I am very satisfied with this color. I purchased short press ons that included the entire kit. I followed the directions. I installed right before bed (so that my nails could set without any use after install). At least three didn't even hold up for a full 24 hours. The application process was a bit difficult compared to other press ons (like Kiss).

I'm so disappointed to say that today I've experienced the worst pedicure of my life. I had a 4:00pm appointment that I booked online. The technician that I had was very young, kept calling me "bro", and was literally playing a video game on his phone while he was giving me a pedicure! I had yellow polish on my toes from the last pedicure I had here. The technician was scrubbing them with a tool and I told him that it was regular polish, not shellac. He said I know, and kept going over them with this metal tool, which was a little painful. Then he cut my toenails with the polish still on, removed the polish, and barely filed my toenails. He tried scrubbing my feet awkwardly, which was very ticklish so he just stopped. Then he took some water out of the foot bath and put it all over my legs and rubbed them down with a scrub and then removed it. I received no lotion, and then he placed hot towels on each of my feet. The technician said that something bit him and went into the back room for a while. When he returned he was playing the game on his phone. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. There were no other customers or employees working when I received my pedicure which was strange because they are usually busy and it was only 4:00. When the nail tech painted my toenails it was very rushed, he barely let the base coat dry and he began applying the polish. I've included pictures so you can see the terrible paint job, my dry feet and yellow nail polish still visible from my last appointment. I also have a rash from the aggressive scrubbing. I let the polish dry under one of the dryers but it was hard to see the details due to dim lighting. When I got out to my car in the sun I was very disappointed. My feet were much better off BEFORE this pedicure.

But I do have some advice to management: - please stop saying YES to everything even if your staff has no idea how to do it. Including cat eye or ombre nails. For my last appointment which was supposed to be cat eye, it looks like I just have sparkly nails because it was not done properly. Please delegate the more intricate work to someone who knows how to do it. -improper removal of gel and damage to nails- my gel was removed improperly and my nails have been filed down to paper thin. When I was just washing dishes my thumb nail was so flimsy I could barely focus on what I was doing. I'm sure they will tear or I will have to just cut them down soon. Please make sure your staff is aware of how to properly and safely remove gel polish as to not damage nails.
