Have you ever gotten those really bad nail jobs, where the finished acrylic nail is all fat and chunky and the edges aren't even EVEN? I went to the nail shop in Half Moon Bay by twice as nice and for 30 bucks, that's what I got. Luckily, after going to Nail Touche, Lee was able to fix them up really well! I loved my nails afterwards! Plus my mom got her nails painted and for the two of us, it was only $32, and Lee let me do a pink tipped french with a thin black line. (Kinda looks like a flamingo!) However, no matter how much I love my new nails, there were unpleasing factors; I did get my finger cut on the edge, and under another finger I also got cut and the liquid she was using got in it and it stung like a mofo. All in all, I loved the nails I got out of it so much, I don't care about the minor pain! Going there again today! read more

dont go to this place. i used to be a regular, untill they gave me a nail fungus. i called and told the manager, and dhe asked me to come in and show them. after showing them the damage yo my nail, she said "oh we no give that to you. we would have to cut you to give that to you". even with letters from my dr they still denied any wrong doing. three months later and i'm still having to do treatment to get rid if the fungus. i filed a report with the health inspector.. next step small claims court read more

I'd been going to this salon for a few years and after my last experience I will not be returning. The manicurists are really hit and miss and the kid the floats around the shop is incredibly annoying. The last time I went in I had a slightly ingrown toenail that the manicurist asked if i would like removed. I figured that she knew what she was offering to do. Huge mistake. She cut out so much toe nail on both sides of both of my big toes and left the actual ingrown toenail in there...following verbal instructions from the lady that was doing my manicure. That night my toe was huge, swollen and oozing puss by the next morning. Yes, I should have spoken up, but I figured the women I had grown to trust with my nails knew what they were doing. A course of antibiotics and two months later, I need to find a new salon. read more

They are wonderful people and have built a huge clientele in the Pacifica/Half Moon Bay Area. The place is never empty and that obviously says something about them. The manicurists know the names of their clients and that loyalty on both ends is really something that isn't common these days. read more

I stopped going here years ago because my last manicure ended with the polish falling into my lap because the girl was on her cell phone while painting my nails. I tried it again recently. For a $28 mani/pedi, the manicure was less than average with the massage lasting less than 30 seconds on each hand. The pedicure was awful. She cut my toe, put no lotion on my legs, no massage, didn't help me back into my shoes and disappeared until I was ready to leave (and pay of course). No need to settle for this place when there are four other nail salons within a three mile radius. read more

I wish I could seriously give this place zero stars. This review is long overdue. I really wanted to like this place as it's within walking distance from my house. I gave it 3 tries and each time it just got worse. They seriously don't know what they are doing there. My daughter got a mani/pedi for her homecoming dance and the woman doing her nails couldn't even get the polish on her nails! It was so messy. She wound up just leaving and it looked just awful. I was in a pinch and had to get my nails done right away so gave it a shot after receiving a horrific pedicure. Bad move on my part. Not only are they unfriendly there, they seriously don't have a clue how to do nails. Do yourself a favor and go to Classy Nails at Serramonte. You will be glad you did. read more

I totally agree with Renae H. above (whom I do not know). The main woman there cut me several times during a pedicure. There was one woman who was very good, and when I requested her, they refused and insisted I use the woman who had cut me previously. And they don't seem to realize that the word is "Touche" (too-shay). This is close to my house, but I never go there anymore. read more

One of the friendliest nail salons I've ever been to. Great mani/pedis and they've even talked me out of gel mani a couple of times because my nails were too thin. They were correct, I just went regular mani and gave the fingers a rest from the gel. Ly is the only person I go to for my waxing needs. She does a great job and makes what could be an awkward experience feel 'normal.' Highly recommend!!!! read more

Edit: just wanted to update this. As of 2018 I've now gotten this manicure twice this month, and every October since 2015. It still looks amazing, and I still love this salon. Did my first gel manicure here and was definitely impressed. Another pissed off commenter mentioned that they don't need to tip these guys because "they give no massage with pedicures, and gel manicures they can't even slather some lotion on your hands at least, I might as well just do it myself at home.". This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I wanted my hands "lotioned" up too, but that doesn't mean that the manicure I was given wasn't suburb, affordable, and long lasting (aka something I can't achieve at home even though I loveee doing my nails myself). I came back a few weeks later and asked for a complex gel manicure: candy corn stripes. I didn't even know if they could pull it off. Well guess what: THEY DID. I came in RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING and they gave me an AMAZING 3 colored candy corn gel set. The lady who did the painting took a manicure thin brush and delicately painted each strip (3 per finger, times 10 fingers) so it took longer than other manicures. I was so happy with her attention to detail and willingness to give me a unique set like this. They rock. I'm going there today for another gel set! You should too. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for years now. I always have a pleasant and relaxing experience here. I'm pretty satisfied with the services I get here. Everyone has their style for doing mani pedis. If there is something I need corrected or something I want them to do they will do it no problem. It's in a great location next to a Starbucks, round Table Pizza, Safeway, Rite Aid pharmacy and Ross store. There are other shops and businesses in this location and it's easy to spend a few hours here taking care of all your business. I like to get the gel mani and pedi that takes about 45 minutes so it's not too long and not rushed. Gives me a chance to relax for a little bit. I like all the staff there. They are all very nice and friendly. The staff has been pretty consistent throughout the years as it is family run and a very tight knit great. read more

I've been going here to get a pink and white full set and fills for about 6 years. They usually do a really good job. You need to ask for your nails how you like them, ex square, length..such otherwise they do how they like it. The owner and her husband are very sweet. I give it 4 stars because I have had better service...but all the way in Idaho... so I will continue going here. One star for the lady being nice on the phone. I came to get my nails done on a whim, they were able to see me right away. The woman who did them was really unpleasant. She scolded me on my nail that "I broke" which was actually from when I broke my finger and the nail was growing back. I asked if she could fix my cuticles and she said not right now...ok? My nails were super crooked they looked awful. She asked me to pay before they were even done and I gave her a 20% tip which is my standard... she didn't say thank you, bye nothing just got up and walked away. I had to spend an hour fixing my own nails because I didn't even feel like going back to catch shade when I paid $50 for an amateur job and really bad customer service. Outside it said $30+ for acrylic. I didn't get gel or anything and she said "for you $45." Seemed like a steep increase, maybe because it was my first time there. I grew up in Pacifica and now live in the north bay...all I can say is, I always ALWAYS end up waiting to get my nails done here when I visit home since every nail salon I've been to north of the GG bridge, does an AWFUL job. All of the manicurists at Nail Touche have done a great job- no mistakes, ever. The ladies/men that work there are personable and recognize me still after all of these years! The ONLY complaint is that the leg massages during the pedicures aren't long enough....but if that's the only complaint I have, then this place deserves 4 stars! read more

I get My nails done here by Lee, I love how she will accommodate you on what ever you want done, (an extra coat of nail polish or to just use some lotion she will accommodate you!) the owners and staff are very nice too!! I DESPISE THIS PLACE. I only come here when my regular nail lady is booked and I am desperate but no more. I can no longer shell out hard-earned money for subpar service. The only one who is any good here is Le. Multiple times I have called and made an appointment with her to show up only have them have someone else do my nails. The last time I was there, the owner did my gel manicure. She asked if I wanted my nails cut and I said no, just filed. Cut to 20 minutes later and all of my nails are ridiculously short. My gel manicure that is supposed to last 10-14 days chipped the very next day. Joe is the absolute worst though. He has cut me on more than one occasion and laughs out a "sorry". He massacres my normally healthy cuticles every time he works on them. Luckily, I found Kim's Natural Nail in Rockaway Beach where her gel manicures last 3 weeks without chipping. read more

I like this place. The family who runs the shop is very nice and I like all of the staff. I can always get in as a walk in and now that I am a regular they are all so welcoming. I love the Moroccan oil pedi and the gel manis last over two weeks. I have had good luck with the products I have purchased here as well. They remember what you like and what you don't like. Horrible service. I went in to just get gel nails for me and my girls with no pedicure as they have hurt my daughters before cut the cuticle to low and made them bleed. So I decided to buy our own supplies and get our cuticles done at home and just pay for the gel. We go in and they gave us a hard time because we only want the color they said they had to do the full service because that cost more. Then I go to pay they charge me 20 dollars each just for the gel and to top it off they lady ask for tip. She said how are you going to pay for the tip. I thought tip was an option. ARE YOU KIDDING, this is the BEST I have been going to this salon for 15 years, since it opened. When I get my nails done there they last me a MONTH, polish still as good as new!! I have been here several times, as a walk-in, for a mani/pedi. They are very professional and to-the-point here, so there is not a lot of chit-chat (although they do talk to one another in Vietnamese), but I feel like they do a good job for a reasonable price. I love the massage chairs and the warm jacuzzi-style tub that my feet soak in. I am a super busy person and if I have to make an appointment, I will rarely get my nails done, so I love having a good place where I can walk in! My "tween" daughter is planning on taking 2 friends here to celebrate her 12th birthday, so I guess that I am raising the next generation of customers for Nail Touche! read more

This nasty place is not worthy of 1 star, but since I have to... Here goes: 1. They can't do pedicures to save their lives! They cut me on just about every toe, and when I asked the lady to be more careful she gave me a dirty look and promptly started talking in her native language. Yeah, I know what that was all about! 2. They cut so deep I ended up getting ingrown toenails on BOTH my big toes, which ended up getting infected and I had to have surgery on them, not fun! 3. I got a super fun fungal infection from them, which I am still battling with to this day. I haven't been there in over a year! 4. They obviously DO NOT disinfect their tubs, so one can only assume they don't disinfect their instruments, and from what I read I'm not the only one they make bleed- and if that doesn't scare you away from wanting to go there, then you have issues my friend!! I am a very difficult customer. I have a very busy life so I'm always a walk-in, I always ask if they have time right now, and I always come close to closing time. And I love these guys. I go every two weeks to get a fill, and they always try their hardest to make sure I have a seat. Joe and Le are both fantastic - Joe is so gentle and his fills last forever, and Le is so friendly and puts you at ease so quickly that I had her do my man's manicure because he was anxious about the idea of getting cut - and she took perfect care of him. The owner also does a great job - she is very sweet, always keeping a great balance between business and casual. They always make conversation, but also emphasize relaxation, so they don't talk a whole lot. They are very understanding of how tired one can be at the end of the day. The perfect example I have is of the last really bad day I had, and I called asking if they could squeeze me in if I drove up from San Jose - the owner said yes, as long as I wasn't late (my appointment was right as they were closing). When I got there, she saw how tired I was, seated me right away, asked me what I needed and and put a pillow against the back rest and helped me settle in. These guys pamper me so much that I consistently bring friends in with me because I know they will treat them so well. Thank you, Nail Touche! read more

New to Pacifica, so hopefully there's better out there. I'm giving a lackluster review to mirror the pedicure we got. No massage for mani or pedi, no dryers for nails, chairs not that comfortable, no flip flops, no buffing unpolished nails. Mani and pedi were fine, but nothing special. $56 for 2 pedis and 1 mani, polish only for 1 pedi. Don't take cards for tips and 'didn't understand' when I wanted change. Though we had conversation during mani/pedi and that was understood. Did get right in on a Friday noon time. read more

This place is a joke!!! The owner and her husband are very greedy. They have a son that is always "hanging" around, litereally hangs on some of the customers and asks them personal questions!!! It is annoying, the kid actually questioned a family member of mine that bought a girt cert. for me, and said why do you not give her more? I was disgusted. It wasn't the best service I've received, but the lady that helped my, My, was so sweet and took her time. I love this place, have been going there for years. I was really shocked to see all the bad comments. I have never had anything but friendly, very friendly service and all of my pedicures have been perfect. I don't get manicures but I see many happy customers getting them there every time I go in. I went to this nail salon twice.... both were horrible experiences. I live in Half Moon Bay and I stopped here once on the way home from the city. I got a mani/pedi and was in and out in 30 minutes. If I was in a rush, that would have been great, but I am the type of person to enjoy my $50 (with tip) service. If I wanted to just have my nails painted I would do it myself. I thought maybe this was a fluke day and maybe I came in to close to closing time, therefore gave them another chance. I went in a rainy Saturday and I was one of two people in the place. They were not busy AT ALL, but once again got a rushed mani/pedi. I was wearing Ugg boots, so before I sat down I asked if they had the disposable slippers. They said yes of course, so when I was finished I asked for them, but they refused to give them to me. The lady kept saying it wasnt safe for me to wear them in the rain, even though my car was right outside and anything was better than putting on boots! We argued for like 5 minutes until she finally gave in and threw them out me. I will never pay money to "pamper myself" at this place again. read more
