This Pacifica Nail Salon has a small, clean, no frills vibe. No strong chemical cleaning sprays. The technicians are quiet and focused not as chatty which is fine by me. I usually take my dad with me here for monthly pedicure dates. They are very thorough and do a great job on my pedicure, love it when they dig deep on my toenails and clean it out thoroughly. However I would recommend doing gel instead of regular pedicure because of one instance where the pedicure wasn't fully dry and I got home with a chip on my big toe. Some places make sure its fully dry before putting on slippers and sending you off but since their space is small if theyre busy you'llhaveto leave on a slightly wet nail. However can't complain much because their pricing is one of the more affordable reasonable prices Ive seen in the area. I would keep going here for pedicures but get gel instead. read more

The bestie and I went on a little overnight trip and our first stop was to get pedis. I found this place here on yelp and the reviews is what sold us to try. There was a place that was slightly cheaper where we were, but decided against it. Ok so it's sits on the corner, right near the beach. This is a 'don't judge a book by its cover' place because the outside is a pale peeling yellow. The curtains were closed so it's definitely not inviting. Once inside, it was so cute and very clean!! 3 lovely ladies were working, and we got seated immediately. I had made an appt, we weren't walk-in's. The service was good. Situated in a hidden small town, just blocks away from the beach. As I get out of my car, the sounds of the crashing waves, the beachy winds and the smell of the ocean already puts me at a peaceful and serene state. Just what I needed to relax from a high intense week... - Until I walked in for a pedicure - No one greeted me until I picked out my color. The nail technician grabs the manicure and walks me to my chair. There's a really tiny ramp from the manicure area to the pedicure area. I wasn't expecting that ramp to be wonky. I almost dipped in and lost my balance. It could be dangerous as it's a small slope with, I think, no rail to hold onto. Can't remember. My nail technician was rough-handling my feet. She would almost smack my legs up and down. During cuticle cleaning, she kept digging into my skin with the cuticle cutter. It was so painful. I yelped, kept staring at her and responded with my toes, but that still didn't get her to stop. I didn't want to cause a scene so I endured through it. Already stressed from the pain and roughness, so many kids were getting their nails done with their parents. It's nice to know that they're kid-friendly, but it got pretty loud with the kids and their parents talking across the room. No offense, but probably would be best to come during school hours to avoid the kid-rush - if you're looking for a relaxing pamper day. I definitely was. CASH ONLY! Pedicure came out to $30. I gave the technician a $100 bill. She gave me 3-$20 and 2-$5. I asked for change with $5. She gave me a weird "annoyed" vibe, as if I was only going to tip her a couple of dollars, when in reality, I was trying to tip her $6. (Yes, I tipped her $6, despite it all, because she actually massaged my feet good) Overall experience was okay-ish-ish. Perhaps she was having a bad day and she took it out of my poor little feet. I came here yesterday with a large group of 9 to celebrate our friend's upcoming wedding day. She booked an appt ahead of time, and we were running behind by 30 minutes yet they were still so accommodating. When we walked in, the place is very small and there were only 3-4 people working so I was worried how long it would take for all 9 of us to get a combination of several manicures and pedicures. However they finished with all of us within two hours! They had a very efficient system going and were completely prepared while even handling other clients throughout our stay. They were all pretty friendly, some more talkative than others. They were so sweet to text my friend (the bride) after the appointment to thank us for our service and to wish her well on her big day. They had plenty of color selections but sadly they didn't have the one I picked, just my luck! There was one that was similar enough so I went with that. It was a bit more pink than I hoped but will end up matching well with our bridal flowers. I came here 4x and my last 2 visits were terrible. The service technicians were so unprofessional, very rude and made me feel really uncomfortable. I was mad at myself after for even leaving a tip for the very rude and unprofessional treatment I received here. They do a nice job however, they really do not care about a paying customer's service experience. The owner Annie was right there and was very much aware of how the interaction was going and yet she didn't apologize for the staff's rude behavior nor did she seem to be concerned. Gave this salon a chance twice. The first was a drop in for gel mani and regular pedi. Overall, service was decent but nothing special. I found it inconvenient at the end when they said they were cash only or Zelle. I didn't see visible postings or was told when I came in -- I wish they said something as a first-time customer because I wouldn't even continued with service. I should've asked, and this is also the first mom and pop nail salon I've been to in 25 years that wouldn't take card. In the end, my nails lasted for a while, so I went back for a second time, and it'll be my last. If you go here, the pedis seem to be great but my experience with the mani ladies were either lackluster or outright terrible. I came back 2 months later and was super happy with the length I was able to grow my nails since my last visit. A lady didn't even say hi when I entered and told me to pick a color. So I'm checking out their color displays and then she rudely took 3 of the displays off my hand that I was interested in and sloppily put them back on the table with a bunch of other displays. Then said "no gel for those colors." I was interested in one of those colors and would've been ok getting it as a regular pedi, but alas, the displays were already mixed in that I couldn't find that color easily, and I wasn't about to spend time searching. I eventually found a color I liked and she starts taking the gel off sloppily on my fingernails with her buffing device. I didn't expect this as I'm used to the foil process. It was super unpleasant especially because it was so sloppily done and I wish I had a mask on because all the bits and particles were probably not safe for me to inhale and the stuff was all over the place including my pants. Then she asks if I wanted to cut my nails. I was so proud of the length I got it to grow into but knew it was time for a very slight trim so I said "only do a little like 25%" -- she snipped off about 90%! After the snip I told her it was too much and she had the audacity to give a loud AF sigh and eye roll!! I was pissed and wished I just left at that point but they had started on my pedi, and I felt trapped. The rest of the time with the mani lady was terrible and now when I look at my gel mani I think of this sloppy and rude woman. The pedi lady though was super sweet and did a wonderful job until she helped me put my sandal on and one of my toes hit one of the my sandal straps and she didn't notice the imprints from the touch. Ughhhh all around. Manis and pedis should be a relaxing experience, especially if the total plus tip is close to $100. I'm not paying that price again just to be upset. I was hoping this could be my go-to mani and pedi place because I saw how the owner seemed to be familiar and very friendly with several of the customers on both visits but this place isn't it for me. read more

Getting an appointment on the same-day was extremely easy - they were able to secure a spot for me in the afternoon. My most recent manicure at Nail Club in Skyline Plaza was actually great, but it grew out pretty significantly over a 3-week time frame. The manicurist I saw was really quick about removing my gel mani without damaging my natural nail bed. She also did a great job shaping my nails and applying smooth coats of nail polish. I expected the price to be comparable to Nail Club (around $45-55), but shockingly, with both a gel mani removal and new gel mani, I was only charged $35. (Of note, Ele Ela is cash-only.) I would come back here in a heartbeat. And what I loved more about Ele Ela was that the manicurists paid more attention to detail in my nails. 6/5 stars! read more

I normally get a gel mani and pedi, but every now and then I'll get a full set for certain occasions. I went in for a full set and she asked if I wanted to try gel x instead, which is similar but more for a short term wear. So I said sure why not just to try it out. And I'm so happy with them. My nails don't feel heavy and sore from getting a full set since it's so lightweight. The process time was about the same so it didn't change anything for my appointment. I started getting my nails done again for my birthday last July (2022), and I've been going regularly since! I work nearby and wanted a birthday treat and enjoyed the experience, so I continued to get regular gel manis and a pedi once for a friend's wedding. They have a good selection of colors and I've been able to match the color(s) of my current knitting or crochet project to my nails several times. I work as a barista and I'm surprised how they don't chip or break, even when I've kept my nails on the long side a few times. My nails have lasted three weeks no problem and continued compliments even when they're grown out. They can also matte-ify gel polish, and it still lasts just as well. They don't specialize in nail art but you can bring reference pics and get something pretty close. I recently asked for a pink/green checkerboard and got them as accent nails, with the rest of one hand as pink and the other as green. I'd recommend calling ahead and making an appointment, and making sure you have enough cash beforehand (cash only!) Gel manis are $35 + tip, with additional cost if you request nail art. I usually do a single color or ask for glitter on top which doesn't add on. I'll upload pics soon, but my faves include a matte chartreuse with bright orange French tips and tonal greens (each nail was a different shade of green). If you get a basic gel mani, it usually takes about 45 min if you're getting polish removed. But I've been there for hours for that matte french combo (so worth the result though) and still only paid $60 + tip I think. read more

The staff are warm, welcoming, friendly despite being very busy most times. They function like a well oiled machine which I mean in the best possible way. Most importantly, they are very efficient at doing manicures and pedicures and I also appreciate their flexibility in scheduling last minute appointments.
