Additionally, the owner (who is the culprit in this case) tried to convince my teenage daughter to get acrylic instead. when she told him she would like to stick with her decision, he still tried to change her mind. He then blamed the low quality nail job on the fact that "you should have gotten the acrylic ." We did get a refund and he popped the nails right off. However, this pace has gone down. Sadly this place has gone down hill. My friend and I booked a mani/pedi a month in advance. We had the worst experience! The guy who did my friends nails was clearly inexperienced because my friend was in pain the entire time. He cut her nails so short to the point where you could see under her nails. She told him before we even started she wanted a nail design. After he painted her nails he said someone else would come do the design. After 15 minutes no one came and I asked the owner if someone could come do the design. He said they can't do designs on regular nail paint. I told him our experience with the guy and how my friend was in pain and her nails looks horrible. All he had to say was sorry and would not compensate her. I love this salon. I've been coming here for two years. Due to my job I haven't been able to get my nails done but I love how my pedicures look and they really take care of me. Also recently I got my nails done and the other salon I went to BUTCHERED my nails, I went back to Escape Day Spa and asked them to do anything they could to fix them , I was helped immediately and am very happy with them. The technicians are all so happy, helpful and friendly. It really is such welcoming place , I've NEVER been disappointed by anyone from this salon. I came in for a pedicure and at first, Steve rushed it. He didn't clean underneath my nails either. He kept looking at the tv. The filing was not straight and as he's massaging me, one he's very distracted he was distracted the whole pedicure and this is not even a massage. He's literally just rubbing the oil on just to take it off and he didn't even take it all off. He missed spots on my nail and said it was done then I asked for another person and they started talking in a different language. I highly do not recommend this place at all. Customer service is terrible. It was a waste of time and money. If you're looking for a GOOD nail salon around the area, Rain Salon and Day Spa is so much more worth the drive. I wish I came here first. They listen to what you want and are not distracted by anything else. And the comment down below by the owner is a complete false lie. One, nobody else was there except for Steve and the lady. So you the owner was not able to see Steve's service and for you to stick up for your employees that dissatisfied a customer, is loyal I'll give you that, but it shows that you do not want to grow as a business. I have been going to Escape Day Spa for at least 5 years, if not longer, and I have always had a pleasurable experience. I typically have Jackie do my nails and she has always been excellent; however, Steve is a great option too! I usually make an appointment, but I have done walk-ins in the past and have always been serviced within a timely manner. Both Jackie and Steve are great nail artists and I feel comfortable going to either one whenever I go into the shop. They have also done a fantastic job in keeping the place safe during the COVID-19 pandemic- I feel extremely safe every time I get my nails done (which happens to be every 2-3 weeks). Long story short. I called the shop because I was in the area to see how much a gel manicure and gel pedicure cost. Guy gave a price of $60-$65 over the phone. The pedicure was very nice and relaxing. Nails turned out beautifully. So I go to pay $95. The spa pedicure $45, gel manicure $35. (Which I could have felt with) but then I saw a charge of $20 for shallac (never asked for it. They are slick as a can of oil. Check your receipt and get upfront prices. read more

When we got there there was no one at the desk to greet us and the room smelled like polish and acetone. We picked out our colors and waited about 10 minutes before someone finally said to sit in the chairs. I sat with my feet in water for 45 minutes before I finally got up and left. My friend who they started her pedicure at 11:20 told them to stop hers because the point was for us to get it done together. Not for her to be completely done and then wait for me. My first visit and very disappointed in my $50 manicure. I selected dip powder but then she used a regular top coat. It took forever to dry and when she went to test it the polish was not dried. She continued to test the other nails and ruining the polish. She then redid the polish again and has me sit for another 15 minutes and tested it and it still wasn't dry. Sat for another 10 mins and a different tech tested my nails and said they were dry. I was just irritated and could not stay. Pros - next to Starbucks and Target. The convenience of the location is why I came here for so long. Also seems clean and tools are packaged and sterile. Cons - Zero customer service; when you walk in everyone stares you down and no one ever says hello. I use to be offered water and had the massager on my chair started for me but this stopped months ago. When a technician accidentally hurts me I get either an eye roll or just ignored - it's ok if these things happen but a simple "oops sorry" would be appreciated. Many of the staff are too rough and have rushed through my pedicures. Diana and Steve are the best but never available. I highly recommend that management take a half day to train the full team on CS/basic human interaction skills. I go, have bad service, bleed, promise I will never go back, forget, drive by, return, and suffer the same disappointment. I was going regularly for a while to get my nails done. I saw the same lovely woman -- I saw her, and only her. but then she left. I went yesterday for a fill. The woman who did my nails talked non-stop to the other techs, she would lift my nail and say some something to them -- very rude. She told me repeatedly that I needed a facial wax (my face was horrible , she said), I needed a manicure (my cuticles were rough). Thank God I said 'no'. She left my nails lumpy, I've never had a worse manicure. I promise myself to NEVER go there again !! read more

I tried to start a conversation multiple times, but was met with a monotone voice and negative comments about her job-- asked if she enjoyed it and she said "meh, it's a job" Even worse, a lady walked in and suddenly the negative, condescending nail tech turned into a bubble and talkative individual who actually smiled. I was so upset, and crying before I even left only to get into my car and sob because of the disgusting way I was treated. This is the best day spa I have found in this area. The owners are so nice & welcoming. It's best to make appt because they do stay very busy but they do allow walk in's also. They accommodate wedding parties and other groups. I had the worst experience today at this shop. I went in and requested a mani and pedi. When my pedi was almost complete the manager cones over and stated he thought I was getting one service not two and then proceeded to ask if I could wait while the tech took another customer or could I come back! Really!!! My answer was no I'm not waiting nor am I coming here ever again! Now, I don't like to pull the race card, but I noticed I was the only black in the shop and all those waiting were white!!! This used to be my "go to" location for nails. I went weekly for pedicures for 4 years. I've also done manicures & waxing. It's really gone downhill with the new management over the past year. It is not clean and the staff is not friendly. When I ask for services I feel like I burdening some of the employees. My last pedicure I had the tip of my toe cut when she was trimming my nails. They refused to even discount the cost and I ended up with an infection in my toe. During my very last visit the air conditioning wasn't working and the staff were standing in back door smoking and it reeked of cigarette smoke inside. The lady that waxed my eyebrows came in from smoking and didn't wash her hands before she attempted to start my eyebrow wax. I very kindly and privately asked her to wash her hands before she started due to the fact she would be touching my face and close to my eyes. I can generally be forgiving of wrong doings. I'm not hard to please and it takes a lot for me to just completely give up on a business. People have bad days and companies have hard times but this establishment seems to be mailing it in at this point. I'd never recommend this place at this point. Save your money and go somewhere cleaner and where they spoil you. It shouldn't feel uncomfortable when you take a few moments to pamper yourself. read more

I was given a gift certificate here and used it this past week. I walked in after lunch time and was immediately helped. There were about 3-4 other women in the spa getting various services done. I had the deluxe pedicure and got a full set of acrylics. The pedicure was amazing. I haven't had one in 11 years, and I loved this one. It was very relaxing. Following my pedicure I was taken right to a manicure table to begin my nails, by the same spa specialist. She did a great job and my nails look beautiful.
