I had a mani and pedi last night. It wasn't a good experience but at least the owner saw my original post and offered to fix it within hours after I wrote my review. I didn't go back. I had it redone someplace else. Much better. read more

I would not recommend this nail salon. I realize it has good reviews overall, but the technician who worked on me did a poor job and the salon failed to correct this. I went in for an acrylic full set with gel ($57) and my results were terrible - the nails were not evenly shaped, the acrylic was not properly smoothed and as a result the polish had a bumpy and contorted look to it. I was in a rush at the time of the appointment, so I called back the next day to see if someone could fix them. Over the phone I insisted that I wanted a different technician to work on my nails. They agreed and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. When I returned for my second appointment, I waited 50 mins, after which I was informed that it would be the same individual working on my nails! They offered to schedule yet another appointment for another day, but I gave up and left. There were no offers to refund me even a portion of the money I spent. Poor customer service! I highly recommend L'Vee which is around the corner on Wisconsin and has done a consistently excellent job on acrylic nails! read more

I typically get my nails done near home (in Laurel) but decided to try the new spot a couple weeks ago for a gel manicure (since it's pretty much next door to my office). Went back today for new gel mani and a pedi. I don't think I will ever get my nails done anywhere else ANYMORE. Hai (one of the owners) is amazing! My gel manicure has never looked better since I started going to him. The level of customer service is great! The attention to detail (which you don't get at every nail salon) is fabulous! You would think that because it's in Bethesda the prices are going to be crazy.....think again. You're going to pay the same amount for a gel manicure that you would pay anywhere else. They have 6-7 pedi options (with the basic starting at $25 and they go all the way to $50+). If you live or work in Bethesda, stop by......you won't regret it. I will warn that if you do try to fit a mani/pedi in during lunch make sure you aren't in a time crunch. You'll need 90 minutes (easily) but you won't be disappointed. read more

Clean, thorough, great customer service and did a great job! I got a gel manicure and my eyebrows done. She did an amazing job in my eyebrows ( I really wish I got there names) but the male technician did my nails and he did a great job. I asked for a little design I found online and he did it exactly the way I wanted it. I couldn't be happier. They were also very kind and attentive which is a huge plus. read more

Nail Studio - Nail Salons Near Me - Bethesda, Maryland

This salon is so well maintained and clearly cared for by the owner. It is truly a delight to come here. I came as a walk in and was immediately helped, although while I was there a line did form, but everyone was helped as soon as possible. The staff is friendly and welcoming, especially the owner, who's name I think is Hai. He is affectionate in all the best possible ways, calls the patrons "sweetie" and "honey", is always ready with a funny joke or line, and just makes the place feel genuinely welcoming. I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a business and been greeted with, "hi." or nothing at all even! It's so refreshing to be welcomed like I was walking into my aunt's house. The services offered are top notch and every effort is made to keep the salon completely sanitary, from the plastic pedicure basin coverings to the individually wrapped nail tools. They offer a handful of spa-like treatments, one of which is was herded into, but it was a welcome addition. If you are on a budget, just make sure to clarify that you are there for a specific service, because, like any good company, they will offer upgraded treatments and once you say, "hmmm, that sounds nice," it's yours. Not a bad thing, just additional. I got a gel manicure and a "luxury pedicure" on my most recent visit here. The luxury pedicure was, quite honestly, luxurious. Sometimes you go to these places and "luxury" stands for "additional lotion", but not here. There was literally so much going on that even when I thought it was over and I was ready to go, there was more! They used some scented flowers, exfoliating gels and cremes, the softest lotion I have ever felt, a paraffin wax treatment, and on top of all of that, there was a ten minute leg massage. Per. Leg. It was fantastic and the definition of luxurious. AND THEN they painted my toenails! I was quite honestly floored by the treatments I received and I will most certainly be sending anyone who wants a quality bit of pampering to this place! Thanks guys, truly fantastic! read more

FINALLY found my "go-to" nail salon in Bethesda! Love this place. The owner and everyone working there are all super friendly (and talented). Customer service is A++++. Love that with shellac manicures- you can return within 2 weeks to get a nail fixed free of charge- I had a nail chip last week & went back to the salon during my lunch break, they were beyond accommodating & refused to even accept my tip for fixing the nail! The salon is modern, clean & they don't take any shortcuts. Went there on a Friday after work & Hai (the owner) had just run out of wine. He left the salon to get more & treated all of the customers with several glasses to make the perfect ending to a long work week! I'll be a loyal customer for as long as I live here! read more

With all its grecian facade flair---this nail salon is worth visiting despite the many nail venues in Bethesda. I've been to several nail salons in the area as I have been a resident in Bethesda for quite a few years now, and this one is undoubtedly the best in customer service and quality. The emphasis in customer service by all the staff is VERY apparent here and it is hugely appreciated by the patrons. The work here is dedicated and detailed---my mani-pedi came out perfectly. One of the staff offered to let me keep the disposable items (nail file, buffer, etc) since they are discarded after each patron----and as I am all for non-waste, I was very pleased to take them home with me. I am a bit paranoid about cleanliness and detail, so this studio succeeded in allaying all my concerns. Thanks Nail Studio! You guys do wonderful work! I will definitely be returning! read more

It's easy for a business the garner good reviews when things go smoothly. The real test is how proprietors handle bumps and snags. The staff here is lovely and skilled, but unfortunately the owner's behavior in such a situation has ensured that I can never in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone. She was condescending and dismissive to me, and chose to make the bulk of her commentary (directly in front of me) in Vietnamese, despite the fact that she and her staff speak fluent English. I'm also multi-lingual, and the only time I revert to another language when I don't have to is when I don't want someone to know what I am saying. In a customer service situation this is never appropriate. Sadly, her poor behavior did not stop there, but suffice to say the the manager (Hai), was visibly embarrassed by the whole thing, and made an effort to be extra kind after she had given her orders. It was all very distasteful, and disappointing, as I had actually really wanted to return up until the owner got involved. I'm sure that people will continue to get wonderful services here, but I can't support a business owner who would see fit to behave that way with customers. read more

I was in Bethesda for a week on business and had some time for pedicure. Hai was able to get me in according to my availability and got me out very quickly so I could make my next meeting! My gel nails look and feel better than they ever have and I can't wait to see him again. The only problem is that I won't be back for another year! I highly recommend the Nail Studio. They do great work and are very personable. I paid a bit more than at home but Hai is meticulous and I am a perfectionist! Definitely worth the money though. read more

Really obsessed with this place as the go to for nails in Bethesda. I stopped in again on my lunch and they took me right away for a manicure, no appointment. Melody took care of me and was perfect. Shaped and filed my natural nails to perfection while keeping conversation. Even if I was venting about my own life the whole time like a true narcissist. Everyone is very friendly, making conversation and offering drinks. When I had to run out back to work, she went out of her way to find these drops they add on that were little miracle drops that dried my polish instantly as I was rushing back to work. The shop is very clean, they use new tools on every client, price is on point for the rest of downtown Bethesda. It is literally perfection as nail shops get. And Melody is great! read more

Nancy does an AMAZING job with my eyebrows! I discovered her when I lived in Bethesda back in 2015 and even though I now live in NoVa, I still make my monthly/bi-monthly pilgrimage back to see her. She's that worth it! She and her son, Hai, are true professionals and sincerely care about their customers. I remember one time, Hai gave me a pedicure that lasted 4 entire weeks! I totally recommend Nail Studio for the quality of their work, products, and customer service. read more

I gave this place a try... and am not sure how I feel. On one hand, the staff (or one of the staff) were really nice and offered me a soft drink (an entire can! haha)... on the other hand... the person who did my eyebrows and gave me a pedicure kept on pressuring me to upgrade the regular pedi to a sea salt pedi. It was just a bit uncomfortable since she had me pinned down with wax on my eyebrows while trying to sell the pedi. I had politely rejected the offer... but then she brought it up a couple of times more. Other than that, seems like a clean, large place on Old Georgetown road. Plenty of parking nearby ... close to metro. I think I'll give it another try. read more

I used one nail salon for about two years until I discovered this fabulous place. I started working in Bethesda in August and I thought I would try somewhere nearby for convenience. After my first visit, I haven't been back to my old salon. I've been a few times and can give a very informed opinion. As of late, I've been making appointments because I like two people to service me, but even when I don't have an appointment, they normally can see me right away. I love that because it shows so much respect for my time. They are extremely sanitary and always line the wash basin with plastic when receiving a pedicure. Melody does my pedicures and she always does a good job. I've started asking for her every time. At the end when she massages my feet, ohhhhmahhhgahhhhdddd it's like heaven! She's such a sweet girl so that helps too. Hai does my gel manis and they NEVER CHIP. NEVER. If they do, I will modify this review but so far *knocks on wood* they have not chipped. When I go back in two weeks and he takes the gel off, it's always still perfectly in tact besides my outgrown cuticles. He does such a good job and he always makes sure that you're satisfied. If you are ever not satisfied, be sure to let him know. He'll happily fix what ever issue you may have. He is also extremely funny, at least to me, humor is subjective, so that makes me like him even more. I believe the owners name is Nancy and she does my eyebrow waxing. She is soooo kind and efficient and gentle, I always look forward to her doing my brows. I don't ask for her specifically, but every time I've gone (Fridays after 6) I've gotten her. I may start asking for her specifically because she always does my eyebrows well. I am in love with this place. It's definitely a little pricier than the neighborhood salons in DC I would go too and even a tad pricier than my old regular which was in Adams Morgan. My old regular ran me about $54 (they had a special Mon-Wed)-$60 for those three services. Here it's a flat $70 plus I split a $10 tip between the three people that service me. At my old salon, they charged to remove gel (which I hated so I would peel off myself which is HORRIBLE for your nails, don't do it) and here they don't, so honestly it works out to be about even. Please check them out if you're thinking about it! read more

Despite making an appointment, and calling back to reschedule, I ended up walking in way earlier than anticipated. Rick helped me right away, and had me choose a color for my gel manicure. I didn't like my current color, and so he told me to take my time in choosing the right color this time. I settled on a cobalt blue, and we started chatting. Super nice guy--funny, and extremely blunt. My kind of people! He was a perfectionist, and made sure I approved of the nail length and shape. I'm sad it took me this long to finally find a place that I'll want to return to again and again, but better late than never. Everyone there seemed really friendly, the salon was clean, and the music was pleasant. I was offered bottle water, and all in all had a great experience. 10/10. I'm definitely coming back here :) Oh, and he used clean and sterilized equipment. read more

Working in Bethesda meant I had a variety of nail salons to choose from. I decided to give nail salon a whirl and boy was I surprised. Hai (the owner) greeted me so kindly that it would seem as if we knew each other previously. He kept checking to see if I was enjoying the experience and making sure I had the wifi to access on my iPad. My overall experience was phenomenal and will be going back again!!!! read more

Yes this place is slightly more expensive than a normal nail salon. But the quality and cleanliness and attention to detail are worth it. Parking is convenient in the nearby lot on Cordell. I am a fan of Hannah- listens to my random requests of not overdoing the cuticle cutting and is gentle. Thanks Nail Studio! read more

So if you were getting your windshield replaced at Safelite and it was taking way too long, what better way to pass time than with a pedi?!? They were friendly, courteous, and repaired a toenail that had split. My toes feel better! And I am still waiting for windshield! read more

This was, by far, the best pedicure of my life - and I am a pedicure snob! Everything was spotless and sanitary, which is one of my biggest requirements. The pedi lasted about an hour and included fantastic scrubbing and massaging. She even managed to get the callouses off my extremely ticklish runner's feet! The nails were trimmed nicely and she painted them very evenly. She even got in the little corners and crevices where many tend to miss! I felt so relaxed when I got home that the fact that my dog had chewed a hole in the carpet while I was gone (no lie) didn't even bother me too much. All this for the low price of $25 minus 15% for going on a Monday through Thursday (promotion good through November). I will be going back here again and again, and bringing friends when I do! Oh - there is a parking deck just up the street, or you can park for free at the school behind the salon if you go after 4 or so. read more

Everything is clean and the staff are really nice. The pedicure chairs are brand new. I give this place 4 stars because they are a little over priced then most places. And the lady who took care of me didn't really seem like she had been doing it for very long. It took her and hour and a half to do a pedi and gel mani which is ridiculous! Pedicure is $25 Gel manicure is $35 (most places are $27) read more

This place was great overall. I had my legs waxed and they missed a few spots on the first pass but were happy to go back over parts. The only thing is it would've been nice if she had gone back herself with tweezers to pick out those that still remained after that. Very friendly and professional and clean. And the pedicure she really focused on removing my dead skin well rather than doing a mediocre job like a lot of places do. And it came with a nice massage! read more

It was 6:45pm on Saturday and my cousin and I wanted pedicures for Easter morning, but found all the nail salons nearby to be closed. We called Nail Studio and they told us if we could get there in ten minutes they would serve us! We promptly started speed walking and arrived a few minutes before 7. The owner was very friendly when we arrived and after noticing we were slightly out of breath, joked that we need not have run. It was a standard pedicure, light leg and foot massage, a fair selection of polish colors, and very clean! We liked that they used brand new plastic liners in the pedicure tubs. Despite coming in at their closing time, we did not feel rushed to choose polish colors, leave with the polish still wet, or that the pedicure was cut short at all. I'm not sure about the wear yet, since we just got them yesterday but I'm expecting it to last a while. Finally, it was only $27 each for our pedicures, which is cheaper than expected! I will definitely return here. read more

Ok...I cheated on my regular spot and I absolutely loved this place. I came in on a week night because this was one of the few places in the area that stay open until 8. My mani and pedi was so relaxing. My gel manicure was perfect. What topped it off was their guarantee to repair my gel nails for free if i have a chip within 7 days (think it was 7 days). I thought that was awesome. That doesn't happen often, but it has. So, I loved it. I will definitely go back. read more

On Saturday, which was only two days ago, I got dip powder nails done. If you are not familiar with this process, it's generally done on your natural bail and lasts up to 3 weeks and sometimes more. Within hours, both my thumb nails had cracks on them and the following day they chipped. My middle finger nail broke and so the shape is no longer rounded. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING experience and will not be returning. read more

Wow - Really about sums it up. I was getting married on Sunday and my mother-in-law wanted to do some bonding while getting our nails done. I have a neighborhood place I typically go, but thought for my wedding I should go some place a bit better than my normal 2-star on yelp place. Nail Studio didn't disappoint. Made an appointment for both my MIL and I for a Saturday morning. Had no trouble finding a parking space and we were treated great. The option for water or soft drinks was nice. Tons of colors and SUPER sanitary!! I will also say I loved that most of the staff spends their time talking to you rather than about you in another language that you see at so many other places. Just a super nice and professional staff. I might have to make myself a regular. read more

To be fair, I want to say that my poor experience was different from everyone in my group who absolutely loved theirs. We came an hour late to our appt (a crazy day!) and appreciated Hai who was wonderful when we kept calling back to push back our appts. He was also patient with us when we took forever in trying to choose our nail colors. There were 5 of us in the group and 4 employees. I didn't mind at all being the last person serviced. The female owner did a good job w/ my pedicure (although she didn't put the toe separator on me even though everyone else had one). I also thought it was weird that everyone got 2 bags to put their hands in during their parafin wax but she made me put both of my hands in one bag thus making me feeling like I was in handcuffs. It was uncomfortable. When it came to the manicure, she didn't really look down at my nails. There were still 4 nails that had tiny strips of my old purple nail polish. This wouldn't have been a big deal except I opted to get a clear base with glitter on the tips. So yes, my old purple nail polish still showed! Then when she was cutting my cuticles, she started digging so hard that my thumb actually started to bleed pretty bad. It's been 3 days and it's still really painful and I've been having to put on Neosporin and a bandaid which sucks b/c it's hides the manicure! The part that really upset me was when she used ONE coat of glitter. Who puts on ONE coat of color? The color on my nails did NOT match the bottle b/c everyone knows you need at least 2 coats for the color to really show. Anyhow she was obviously rushed b/c she told me to sit down to dry my nails and then rushed out the door within 5 mins. I know we were late so I completely understand that she had plans. But she could've handed me off to someone else to actually do a decent job. I actually had to ask another employee to put on a 2nd coat of glitter. Everyone in my group actually thought I had on light silver glitter but then realized the glitter was blue/green after the 2nd coat! I will never go back but I thought Hai and Kimmy were really sweet and did an awesome job with everyone else. read more

My first time here I have to say Great pedis, they take there time on the foot massage, amazing! Then wrap each foot in a nice warm towel. ( Most places do not take there time on massage which I can not stand) They offered me bottled water, soda or wine and they also have coffee or hot tea which makes the experience more enjoyable. I had the French gel pedi done & it looks absolutely amazing. The nail tech. Hai was my nail tech & he is so great! Hai also said that if anything chips on my pedi within the two weeks to come back in & he will take care of it & fit it for me no questions asked. Overall I had a very pleasant visit to Nail Studio & will defiantly return. read more

My experience at this nail salon was epically fantastic. Let me first begin my saying that I've spent so much time searching for a good nail salon. By that I mean a place where my gel won't chip after less than a week. I decided to try Nail Spa as it conveniently located a couple of blocks from where I work. When I first came in I was greeted by professional and welcoming staff. The ambiance was terrific and I felt very comfortable. The salon was very clean as well. I decided to inform them about my issues with my nails chipping relatively quickly and they advised against getting acrylic (even though that would be more money). Right away I was pleased at their honesty and assured that my nails will not chip but in the event that it does I can return and get it fixed for free. I am happy to say that it is a week and No chipping! Very excited and I will be returning! read more

Being a spoiled LA native, I have searched high and low for nails salons for over 2 years since moving to D.C. By luck I was simply passing by and read the reviews, which drew me into Nail Studio and now I refuse to go anywhere else. From the wine, to friendly staff, to their attention to detail has surpassed all expectations. In the past, I paid $50 for terrible service, but here they go BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL work and treat you like royalty. Let me break it down for you. First you are greeted by friendly staff who welcome you and DO NOT RUSH you to sit and place your order. Instead, Nail Studio cares about the service and overall ambiance. They want you to feel relaxed, comfortable, and happy with the overall result of your nails. This nail studio is CLEAN. They care about service and ensure a guaranteed satisfactory result or they will make every effort to please you. To top it off the price you are paying is very, very reasonable especially for the area. It's a place I can honestly say I look forward to going to whether it's to unwind or to simply update my nails. They genuinely treat you like a queen and they are honestly the most humble and caring people I've met in Bethesda/DC area. This place is truly a hidden gem and if this review helps someone still looking for a nail salon, then my mission is complete. Give this place a try! You won't regret it. read more
