I requested for a receipt from the work and she was irritated (huffing and puffing) just because I asked for a simple receipt. I've been meaning to write this review for a while but after my experience I got really busy with life. I went to Red Bloom about two months ago. It took a while for me to book a session due to my busy schedule but I was able to reschedule and finally book a session for my friend and I with ease! Germaine was excellent! She was attentive and really gave me the healing I was looking for. My friend and I service: Reiki healing: (highly recommend) it gave me the spiritual awareness I needed. I was going though a lot of loss around the time and Germaine made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was able to really release some blockages I was feeling. Yoni steaming: 1st time doing it and will definitely continue this service. It was very private which I appreciated and therapeutic. (She was recommended to me by Mamie--owner of "Skin by Mamie" in NYC, who is the aesthetician for actress Angela Bassett and the secret behind the actress's graceful aging -- because they both trained/worked together and share similar approaches to skin care. when Mamie learned that I had traveled all the way from DC to NYC for her services, she told me that she knew of a local contact with a similar practice. And she was right!) Germaine is aaaaaaaaaaa-mazing, taking a very holistic approach to women's skin and overall health. What I especially appreciate about Germain is that she is not one to push expensive products and services on you in an effort to run up your bill. Rather she is keenly aware of the effect of diet and lifestyle choices on our skin, and she's the first to tell you that the best way to fix your forehead wrinkles is to clear up a digestion issue at the root rather than to focus on purely superficial interventions that would just mask the issue. On first impression walking through the door it looks like it would be a bit small, it is in fact very spacious and has two sides that offer multiple amazing services. We got massages and pedicures that i would really honestly rate 10/10 for both services. Julie did my both our pedicures and was such a friendly and sweet woman, she did such an excellent job I feel like I have brand new feet! Julie's son was responsible for the massage, it was so relaxing and rejuvenating, he definitely knows how to get to those tense spots and take care of all the knots. Robert (massage) and Julie (pedicure) are the best! Hands-down, the best spa experience I've ever had in my life. This spa is reasonably priced for the high quality of their services in a bright, clean, convenient space! I loved having a 60 minute "Radiant" pedicure with Julie. It was relaxing, my toes have never looked better (in a fun neon shade - they have great OPI colors) and Julie was so lovely to chat with. What amounted to a full hour of pampering in a massage chair for only $50? So many places are $30-40 for way lower quality for only 20-30 minutes in more chaotic settings. Julie is an expert and I can't sing her praises enough. I'll be bringing friends here for sure! The 60 minute deep tissue massage with Robert was glorious - I walked out feeling at least an inch or two taller! The massage was effective and relaxing, and Robert dedicated particular time to the areas I wanted to focus on (neck/shoulders), bur still worked out knots in my back. Definitely book with Robert, too! The only tricky part is the spa's hours - book far ahead for a Saturday date if you work a regular 9-5 Monday through Friday. This place does not even deserve one star, I missed my appointment for the first time for a personal reason that I had no control over, and I was charged for the full session/appointment amount. The owner did not care or want to understand the situation; they just wanted the money. She was rude and heartless and sad to say that she just wanted the money even though she did not work for that hour. I do not recommend this business because of the strict no forgiveness policy that she has, if you pay for the visit you better make sure you show up because you will not even get refunded for 20%. I would mind to pay a percentage for the service or a set fee for the cancellation, but this business cannot charge a full amount for service not rendered. read more

Literally the worst Brazilian I've ever had! An hour and 15 minutes later and I still walked out with "sticky wax". The owner tried to make up for the awful job, but there was really nothing she could do. Cortisone cream and warm towels later, I'll never be back. Best facial ever. So good that it deserves my first Yelp review. I found a deal on Yelp and decided to go with it after seeing the good reviews. My original idea was to get the facial and then wait for a couple of months so I should get the next facial at my home country, where prices are more affordable. But honestly, it was so worthy that I did not only book a second appointment, but that I have made my facial with Germain part of my monthly routine and, right now, it is the only place I would consider. Germaine is really attentive and knowledgeable. She examines your skin, applies products thoroughly with gentle massages and, while the masks and other products sit, she gives you an arm/neck and shoulder massage that makes you feel totally relaxed and just happy to be there. Look, one is never eager to get hair ripped her lady bits (though, I could be wrong...you know, whatever floats your boat), but I must say, this particular wax came with virtually NO pain. Not only that, but Germayn is just a doll. She's so kind, a great listener, and has a great energy about her. I literally walked out with greater mobility of my hip and less pain. By the next day I was back to normal mobility.....without taking any pain meds. I have been a client at the Red Bloom since 2010 after being referred to Germaine (owner) by a friend. I absolutely loved my facial by the beautiful Germaine Williams. She has a strong, firm massage style and used great products. The treatment really made my skin glow. Didn't give 5 stars because we had to wait in a small room for a while after arriving, but the massage more than made up for it. I've been going to Germaine for monthly facials for over a year and a half now. She is the most amazing person and is so attentive to my skin's needs. She takes her time at every appointment and my skin feels and looks incredible at the end of each session. She addresses any issues she sees and answers any of my questions as well. Germaine has also helped me get my health back on track as she is incredibly knowledgable about the body and its needs. Germaine has also led to me to the two wonderful doulas I worked with when I was pregnant! When I was pregnant Germaine suggested I speak to Iman and Therese just to get some information and I am so thankful that I did. They were so knowledgable and took the time to speak with me for an hour even before I decided to work with them. Iman and Therese were right there with me throughout my pregnancy to answer any questions no matter what time of day or night. It was so comforting to know I had two ladies to support me before, during my entire nine hour labor, and even after my delivery when I was back at home. I am nine weeks postpartum and they still check in to make sure everything is going well! I believe everything is meant to be, and it was meant for my friend to recommend Germaine, and in turn it was meant for me to meet Iman and Therese to help me through my pregnancy journey. There was some kinda mixed up with scheduling and obtaining my proper email address. I had booked a facial appointment ~2 weeks before my scheduled date with Germaine, via telephone. This upcoming facial appointment was something I'd looked forward to, since I've been following the red bloom social media pages, for sometime now. In addiction, I had made the provisions to take off that day; for it was my birthday. Upon my arrival I was told immediately I was late and how I had this 1:15p appointment? I'd explained my appointment time is scheduled for 1:30 and there was some kind-of mixup. She (Germaine) told me in the same sentence she had something to take care of, on the outside and how she can perform an express facial instead. No way , did I drive more than an hour for a half-hour express facial?! She later checked my email address on file and asked did I received the outlined confirmation? Well what do you know, somehow my email was misspelled, "Ladybug" was spelled "Lanybug"?? Germaine made mentioned she could squeeze me in later that evening and how I could stick around, until 6:30p? What??!!! It's 1:30p and she expected me to do what .....and stick around for 5 hours, not to mentioned I was parked in a paid parking lot too. Germaine had left the premises; off to run her errands, as if she didn't have that time already blocked off with me. As if I didn't matter. I sat and waited for additional 20-25 mins for her return. My facial, must admit was decent, but no way did she spent a hour with me. I'd timed my facial at 35 mins and was charged for a 60 min facial. ???? Overall, Germaine books a very tight schedule, I felt rushed and wasn't throughly taken care of. It appears Germaine gives anywhere from 5-10 mins in between clients (including their bladder emptying, changing clothing, etc).. All my friends knew of my booked appointment with Germaine & of-course I was asked several times over, how was my experience? All I can say: I wasn't late for my appointment (this was something I'd looked forward to for a long time), there was a mixed up with scheduling, never received the confirmation email due to entered misspelled incorrectly, was cheated and charged for a 60 min facial and how I didn't receive the type of facial booked for; lastly, she left to run an errand minus my precious time that should of been justified for my complete facial. All in all, this was my birthday (sad face). Assumption she probably don't care much because she has a large array of clients and you're treated as a number and just money to her. read more
