I stopped by this salon to get a gel Mani and Pedi while I was waiting for my car to get serviced. I looked V nails up on yelp and it has really good reviews. The staff is really nice and they take their time giving you the quality that you are paying for. Tweety has a lot of positive energy and makes you feel appreciated. This salon uses iGel beauty gel polish, this is my first time using this brand. I got this vibrant orange/red color (showgirl) on my nails and it is gorgeous. I have received a lot of complaints so far. They have another color called Mimosa #115, I will try this color the next time I visit. The salon is clean and small, they don't have as many colors as I am used to picking from in nails salons but they have the basics. I walked in on a Saturday they were able to take care of me 15 minutes later. If you can I would recommend scheduling an appointment. read more

My go to. Whenever I have an event coming up or a trip, I go to V Nails to look my best. Pricing is fair and you aren't paying for a fancy name or a "modern nail bar" ploy but actual good quality service. I usually get gel which lasts me up to a month, and the regular polish about 2 weeks. Definitely recommend this place! read more

What a great experience! Tweety and her staff were incredible! I went with my mom and sister on Mother's Day and we had the salon to ourselves for an hour. All the staff were friendly and wore masks. They were personable but didn't force you to talk if you didn't want to. The facility is very clean and the decorations are simple and very attractive. The TV monitor shows the pricing of services brightly and boldly, and they have EVERY COLOR NAIL POLISH YOU CAN THINK OF! Plus they had great parking for a Sunday. Tammy did my nails and her attention to detail was superb! I like square nails and left very satisfied with the shape. She's also really good at transitioning between the mani and pedi so you aren't ever wasting time just sitting around! My pedicure also put me to sleep . Best massage chairs in salon I've ever used. I wanted to try a new nail salon near me, and went to V nails. I walked in and asked if I could get a gel manicure to which one of the nail technicians said "why not?!". Okay already loving this nail salon energy! There were only two other customers when I went so I was immediately seated. My nail technician was wonderful and helped my pick out a color, and made sure my nail shape/length was to my liking. She did an excellent job and was quick and efficient. V Nails is a cozy salon on a quiet corner of Norfolk Street. I visited the salon for the first time a few months ago. I'd had a long day at work and needed a little pampering. I immediately felt welcomed by Karen and Tweety. Karen helped me pick out a beautiful nail polish color and she did an impeccable job on my manicure and pedicure. We had just the right amount of conversation and afterwards she allowed me to sit back and relax in the spa chair for an extended period while my nails dried. Tweety attended to other customers in the salon and cracked jokes that had the whole salon in stitches. I was thrilled with my initial experience, so I returned a few weeks later. This time Tweety was the only one in the salon and she seemed preoccupied with a phone call. I asked about SNS colors, but she only had a handful of pale shades, which did not appeal to me. I decided to stick with a pedicure and have her soak my finger nails since I had an old gel manicure that needed to be removed. Tweety did my pedicure while conducting her phone call. I typically like to talk to my nail technician, so I found her preoccupation with the phone call off putting. I was initially the only customer in the salon; however, another customer arrived about halfway through my pedicure. Tweety finally ended her phone call and started interacting with both of us at that point. My pedicure was fine, but my experience on the second visit did not live up to my expectations. I would consider visiting this salon again if Karen was available to do my nails. read more

30 June 2018; Saturday morning. At the suggestion of my barber of Hanna's Barbershop, I embarked on my 2nd manicure since I was a teenager (now, over 60). Easy metered parking right out front. I was greeted at the door as a walk-in and seated promptly. A quick efficient soaking, trimming & buffering; the full works! They even offered me a free pedicure (I've only one leg) left the other one in Viet Nam. I respectfully declined . I left with a few Xtra free buffers etc. with my promise to return again soon. Search no further. This is the best nail salon in Bethesda! My mani/pedis last so long when I get them done here. The modern, clean space is filled with natural bright light, and the staff are so welcoming. I love that it never has that overpowering nail polish smell some salons have. Helen, David, and Tweety are all so kind and have meticulous attention to detail. Helen gives great hand and foot massages, so you feel even more relaxed while getting your nails done. Tweety has amazing skill with acrylic nails. They have a large selection of nail polish colors and brands, so you will definitely find what you're looking for. The massage chairs for pedicures seem very new and are very comfortable. They also use plastic covers for the foot bath, so you don't have to worry about germs. If you forget your sandals and don't want to mess up your pedicure, they have disposable flip flops for you! They even let me bring my corgi into the salon! Prices are average and worth it. Metered street parking is easy, and there's a parking garage around the corner that's free on weekends. I highly recommend getting a mani/pedi here! read more

Sigh. Yes it's a nice small and clean place. Walked in on a monday afternoon , it was empty and asked for a color change on my toes . French pedi to be exact . I was surprised that they don't do nail designs? He tried his best to make me happy and gave me a discount which I appreciated. Didn't go above and beyond and he had also left some nail polish on my toes. I wasn't happy, but i'm sure in the future they will accommodate anyone. They were sweet and nice but i just was not happy. I won't come back because I like designs. Plus side all of their polishes looked fresh and were elle. Ignore all the reviews about Catherine Nail! I don't review often (I typically use yelp to bookmark places I've been) but this place definitely deserves a shout out. Their sign hasn't changed yet but hopefully it will soon (regardless, definitely give it a try. The new management are two ladies who are warm and welcoming, albeit their English isn't the best. The premises are also spotless, though I can't speak for their waxing. I also saw them take their instruments out of the sterilizer so I could rest assured I was in good hands. Their pedicure was lovely. Their massage chairs are fantastic and the water was perfumed. The four stars is mostly because I felt like they could have spent longer on the massage, but who doesn't wish for longer massages, haha. They were very attentive to detail and even polished off my calluses (the price we pay for heels, am I right?). They were very knowledgeable and even recommended colors for me based on my skin tone and current trends (I'm super indecisive and asked for help). I'm a mani/pedi veteran but I have color regret every time except this time. I always wondered why my nails had horizontal ridges and they told me it was because I was pushing my cuticles back too hard when I paint them on my own. The manicure was phenomenal! Whites are hard to get even and her three coats did the trick. And usually I mess up at least one nail because I'm so clumsy, to the frustration, exasperation, and impatience of the manicurist but she just laughed and even ducked under the table to fix the toenail I bumped while she was painting my fingers. Overall good. They took me at 7:20 even though they close at 7:30. $30 for pedicure is a little higher than $25 on Rugby and $27 on Old Georgetown Road. One star off for doggedly asking me where I'm from because saying Maryland isn't enough. The nicest thing about this place is they cover the foot rub in plastic, a new cover for every customer, so you know they did everything possible not to give you staph. Free wifi! read more

My wife recently visit this establishment and was denied the nail design she desire just because it was not common in this area. We have lived in Bethesda for over 4 years and this is the first time someone has treated her this way. If we are paying for a service you should provide that service your opinion is not needed. If it had to do because we are a minority it's a really sad day since the whole time in Bethesda this has never happened. read more

I went to get my nails done here about a month ago when i needed a gel mani. It went great that time so i decided to go back. So this time i needed a full set and pedi. This was on Friday 3/31. I go in and everything felt great. The staff is friendly, for the most part. I start asking questions about colors and got the gel nail selection snatched twice, once to be given to another customer and another just because they assumed i was done. I asked about getting a design nail. "Tweety" i believe her name is, goes on to tell me designs are not a good idea for this area. Now mind you, I've lived in bethesda for 4 years now so i felt a bit discriminated. I didnt say much except that i always get compliments on my nail designs. So the pedicure was great. No complaints. To be honest, Tweety isnt bad either. I can tell she wants to be a more personal and kind nail tech with her clients. This doesn't bother me, but the final straw was when she was doing my nails. I made a comment that my nails were looking wide. She goes on to tell me "you're used to narrow nails, if i do it any more narrow your fingers will look fat"... i didn't say much else for the rest of my visit, paid and still left a tip. Im looking at my nails and many people are seeing that my nails are wide but that the color is nice. I guess thats ok but im not happy, and will not be going back. Good luck to this establishment, Catherine's Nails was the previous name to this place. In my opinion the place is alot nicer but the staff needs better training in social skills and customer requests. read more
