At the time I made my appointment I made it very clear that I wanted a regular acrylic and even when I got to the place I repeated that I wanted something regular, when I paid they charged me for acrylic gel and I told them that that was not what I wanted but it was what they had done to me and I had to pay a large amount for something that I did not ask for. the design where it is clearly seen that she made a mistake on a nail where she didn't even bother to fix it, even knowing that they were going to charge me more than what they had told me. Not even the shape is right because I have longer or thinner nails than others. I decided to let her do her work thinking that she still had more to file or fix and that's why I didn't say anything to her at that moment but I was wrong and she didn't do anything right. DEFINITELY NONE OF THAT IS WORTH THE $80 DOLLARS THEY CHARGED ME I am very frustrated by how poorly she did her job because in a few days I am celebrating my baby shower and I went to this place expecting good service because of the great reviews they have. but now I don't even have time to fix the mess she made on my nails shm My little cousin swears she would do a better job for only $65 and she just graduated as a nail tech. I got a jasmine pedicure and he suggested I pair it with a jasmine tea (there's a boba tea place attached which they also own and I'll make a special trip when I can for the perfect hot tea.) I'd recently lost my dad, hadn't had a mani/pedi in months and really needed an expert to help me take care of myself. Hai recommended the gel extension manicure, helped me pick a good color (elegant pink?) for nails and something close to Big Apple Red for my toes. The manicure and pedicure were flawless and are growing out well. Mostly, though, I'm so grateful to Hai for giving me such a fun, rejuvenating and healing experience when I needed it most. They charge additional fees for more than one color, for any shape other than square, and nail design per nail. I'm not used to being charged for colors so was surprised about that one, but it wasn't too excessive so I'll come back and just ask for a price quote before I sit down.

There was literally one other customer. No one wanted to do my nails. I asked for basic design with white stripes and the nail tech who did come forward stated she did not do designs and then began to speak to another tech to do my nails. There were 5 available techs going back and forth about the design and no one wanted to do it. I understand that every tech has different skills but their customer service was poor and beyond the design when I entered the salon there wasn't initiative to take me as a customer. They made me wait several minutes even after I stated what I wanted. The other times I been here I've never seen Black women customers so maybe they are only used to a certain demographic. It's just really unfortunate to me that every customer is not treated with the same level of care. I've attached a picture of the design I asked for as well. I left as they continued to go back and forth about the design and won't be a patron here again.
