Great service, great results, and just an easy, relaxed vibe the whole time. Since Sage was nearby, we decided to stop in and see if they could fit us in--and we're so glad we did! The service was excellent, and our pedicures turned out great. Walked in and was never greeted and completely ignored until my name was read off the list. Was a little disturbed that I could see the basins our feet soaked in were never cleaned in between customers and neither were the tools used except that the huge scary "cheese grater" looking exfoliator was rinsed in the dirty water I was soaking my feet in. The lady painting my nails insulted me several times because I didn't want to upgrade my choice of pedicure by calling my color choice "boring" and that I wasn't choosing the shellac that "popular people" do. During the pedicure she asked if I wanted my feet exfoliated. All the previous places I have been to before have never charged me extra for this service- so I said yes. She never explained to me that they charge extra until after I got the bill. When I went to the cash register I was charged $36 and some change. I asked why, because the "basic" pedicure was listed as only $26. And she told me that oh, the exfoliation with the "cheese grater" was $8 extra. I looked at the list of services and it's listed at $5. Regardless, paying almost $40 for simply getting your nails painted and filed (not all of them were even clipped!) is outrageous. I REALLY wish I had read the reviews before coming here- I would have been spared the unpleasant experience from the creaking old massage chair to the pricey, dishonest employees. read more

You're not greeted as you enter, you write your name down and they ignore you until they call you over to their dirty station. I got a regular set, my sister got some "glittery tips". Mine cost 30, my sisters super fancy glittery nails cost a whopping 49.00.What a Rip off. The wait for a set was 15-20 minutes. Once we were taken back the sets took only 20- 30 minutes. My nail beds feel fine, my cuticles are intact. The nails I asked for are uncommon for the Midwest, I asked for oval nails. They are not done all that well. The appropriate oval shape is one sided and flat on another. The nail stylists were kind and knew English quite well. (which one would assume is a racist or prejudice thing to say, but I'm not saying this to be crude) I'm always very uncomfortable about the sanitary conditions of nail salons and I can't vouch for this one either. Had a horrendous experience here - do not go!! The man who was doing my pedicure insisted I had an ingrown toenail when I had no pain, swelling or signs of an ingrown toenail. After brushing that off, he later says to me "I don't want you to kick me!" If this wasn't enough, the man looked back and forth we between my mother (seated across) and I, and then said "are you mad at me because I said you had an ingrown toenail? if so, you need to chill out, man ... *and makes an offensive sound of a cat hissing or screeching*" After that my family and I all walked out. No apology, no acknowledgement. In addition to all of these issues, we were helped after two women who walked in after us (without appointments), their sanitation machine looks like it's from the 1950s and is falling off the wall and rusted, and the other employees were incredibly pushy about upgrading to gel manicure or delux pedi. don't go. make your girls day a fun one and hit Simply Nails a few blocks away. read more

Stay away! Visited this nail salon the day before my sister's wedding. It was supposed to be a relaxing, fun, bonding experience for myself, my sister and her two young girls, and my mom. We were "greeted" by someone at the front desk, who didn't turn around in her chair to say anything to us for at least 2 minutes, when I said "excuse me." She turned around, sighed that she had to put down her phone, and asked what we needed. We told her that we had appointments, and she told us to sit down and wait. Instead of getting our pedicures at the same time, as we had requested several days before, we were taken back one at a time. There was no greeting, no words, just a look. My pedicure was the roughest I've ever had, and my feet are still left sharp and sore. They were in the water no more than 5 seconds before she pulled them out to start with her sharp trimmer. I told her that she'd have to be more gentle because my heels are cracked, and she just stopped altogether and started talking in another language to the man next to her. My very young nieces were treated no better. Instead of this being a treat, both left scared and in tears for the way that they were treated. My youngest niece was too scared to even have anything done. We left, after being charged $160 for three pedicures and two manicures. No one could explain the charges, but they all just talked amongst themselves and evidently this was the price they landed on. If you're looking for anything relaxing, anything fun, or even anything decent, this is not the place for you. read more

Not the fanciest salon in town. I will not be back as I am unsure about how sanitary the instruments and pedi tubs are. Did not see ANY of the tubs cleaned in between clients and this really scares me. They put a blue chemical in the tubs, which I'm not sure is a cleaner? The gal also used a "cheese grater" thing on my heels and I'm wondering now if it was properly sanitized as well. Anyone else experience this? Scary stuff. read more

What a rip off! We were upsold every step of the way without them being clear that every little thing was going to cost $5-10 extra. I ended up paying $178 for a mediocre mani-pedi for my daughter and myself. No massage with the "deluxe", just them lazily rubbing lotion on my hands and legs for a few minutes. Pedicure was fine but one of my toes bled a little after employee trimmed my nails. It was sore throughout the pedi. (I'm just hoping it doesn't get infected.). After drying for at least 15 minutes, the employee sprayed my toes with something and put cellophane over them before I put my socks/shoes back on. 15 minutes later when I got home and removed the cellophane, it stuck and ruined the polish on two toes. I then had to make a trip back to get them re-done. Not a good use of my time or money today. read more

Aside from being painfully overpriced, the Nail Spa not only serviced me with a full deluxe mani-pedi in under 20 minutes, but re-used the flip flops and toe separators without any cleaning or sanitation. The manicurist was hesitant and rude in explaining salon procedures or answering any questions that myself or my daughter had. From the beginning to the end our experience was terrible. I went here with my some of my friends and bridesmaid to get our nails done before the big day. I had called ahead and scheduled an appointment. When I walked up to the counter to a lady that was looking at the sign in sheet I said "hello I have a 2 o'clock appointment" She didn't even acknowledge me... leaned around me and called someones name and then proceeded to carry on a conversation with her as if I wasn't even there. When she was done she simply walked away. I then put our names in the sign in sheet and saw that the rest of the women waiting were walk ins. Only after they had gone through them were we addressed. Clearly appointments don't mean anything nor does customer service. The lady that was helping my sister asked her if she would like to upgrade her pedicure to get all of the dead skin off of her heel. When my sister said no she kept badgering her and insulting my sisters feet. After my sister politely said no each time the nail lady became irritated. One of my friends was going to get a mani pedi but after her pedicure the lady simply walked away and began to help someone else. When that was brought to their attention they screamed to get someone to do her nails but due to the time she had to refuse. When we paid for our services my friend who only received a pedicure was charged twice and instead of apologizing to my friend they treated her like it was her fault that they ran her card twice. I wish I could give this place a 0. They were rude to me after THEY messed up me nails. She started over three times and after almost two hours I told her just take them off I'm already late to work. They CHARGED me for taken off my acrylics and for the shellac up charge that they make no mention is extra, along with a bunch of other things that you are suddenly charged for when you walk up to pay. I asked for an individualized receipt and suddenly my check dropped $15 dollars. The lady that paid before me was the mom of a wedding party and was standing their still gaping at her receipt as I paid. She then asked for the same thing I did, I don't know how it turned out because I had to leave because I was late to work with destroyed nails that were embarrassing looking and painful and sensitive. Terrible expierience. I was a walk-in to get gel polish. Behind the unfriendly receptionist was a pricing board that cearly stated "Gel Nails - $21". The technician worked on my nails and made small talk, she was very kind and professional. Before adding the top layer of polish, she added some glitter to each nail per my request. I was pleased with the end result and thanked her. When I returned to the front desk to make my payment, I was shocked to hear my total, $48.99! I took my daughter and 9 yr old granddaughter in for a pedicure each. Before I knew it they were turning a $26 pedi into a DELUXE pedi for myself and granddaughter. My granddaughter was laughing because were using a cheese grater for exfoliating. Then came the shellac process which I didn't know was going to cost me my life's savings. (I should have asked but this was only the 5th pedi I've ever had in my life so I really didn't know what it was.) Live and learn. Staff really tried to sell the extras without mentioning additional price. Charged to take off shellac for mani, plus up charge for shellac and french for the fingernails, our bill came to $80 each.
