With the many reviews I expected better. I went in both times with a call ahead appt same day with no preference on who took me. When I got a pedicure, the older woman gave a great massage. She was very kind and social. The pedicure was good, no complaints there! I spent a bit more for the pricey option with paraffin and it was pretty good. They have some heated socks during the treatment too! That's different! I wasn't impressed with the dip nails that I received on 2 different occasions. They didn't hold up after one week and had chipped significantly. Don't feel like pricing was ever transparent, despite having the pricing paper at the register, but that not adding up to what I was charged. Overall I had a good experience at Divine. The highlight was the excellent work by the pedicurist. I didn't catch her name but she had purple tinted hair. She had an amazing massage which showed good technique. So often you get a disappointing massage at nail salons, so I've lowered my quality bar over time. But this goes to shoe it's possible! She was thorough and had great attention to detail. The design was exactly what I asked for. The salon itself is well-appointed, but there were a few things worth mentioning that could be improved. I was a walk-in and waited about 23 minutes to get into a pedi chair. There was a movie playing very loudly in the salon, which was a minor annoyance. I wasn't able to relax as much. I wasn't offered anything to drink. The pedicure booties got a bit too hot for my feet. At the end when I went to pay, I was waiting behind a lady already in the process of paying. Then as I stepped up to the counter and employee directed the gal behind me to come pay, effectively just cutting in front of me. It was weird and kind of rude. Like I said, mostly small things. Stellar work done at this salon! Right when I walked into the door, I was greeted and directed to wash my hands in an effort to keep everyone safe. I don't have the most flattering finger shape, so the type of nail I needed was specific. My nail technician was able to accomplish the shape I desired without correction. I haven't been able to achieve that in any other salon in Sioux Falls. During my session I explained that my job is physically demanding and hard on my hands. The technician gave me an extra dipped coat purely out of consideration. I'm thankful that the employees at this salon think about outside factors and not just making a buck. My nails were beautiful while they lasted... one and a half weeks until the polish lifted and peeled off. I paid 91$ and some change, over 100$ after tips for a fill with shellac polish (with glitter) and a coffee spa pedicure. The pedicure was a basic with added coffee scrub. There were no hot stones or paraffin wax used. For 37$, definitely not worth it since I get all of the stuff they offered, hot stones and paraffin for 35$ at home. My shellac lasted 1.5 weeks, usually it lasts 3 weeks. So for 54$ for a full with some shellac that lasted half the time, it worth it. It's not even time for a fill yet, but have to go in to get my nails redone. Very disappointed in the quality with regard to the cost of the services. If I ever find myself in Sioux Falls again, I'll try some place else. read more

Heads up - I absolutely told the truth about my terrible experience. Hysterical they'd call me out on that. A fill is $60! Say what?! Ridiculous!!! Go somewhere else for a better job and a normal price for a fill! Doug, the owner, needs a lesson in respect, some work on his memory, and perhaps a freshener course on how to do nails as he is told. Had my nails done by Doug- he sold me on "dipping" and not the acrylic I am used to getting in California. I showed him my nails and had a conversation with him about how I like them done. Wide and square. Nothing out of the ordinary. He starts on my nails and forgets our conversation and files my nails so much on the sides - the EXACT OPPOSITE of what we spoke about! Thank God I was paying attention and he only messed up on two. Fast forward 12 days later...... When you have the "dip" done on your nails, and you come back for a fill, you have to sit with your hands in stinky acetone for 15 minutes so they can soften to be taken off. (Give me acrylics any day and skip this time consuming and stinky step!) Now in Douglas chair and I request acrylics because the duo is so thick, it looks completely different on your fingers - especially when they start to grow out, it's really obvious. He stars he cannot do acrylics any thinner than a dip. Say what? I'm sure it's not difficult to do a normal acrylic set. Lol! He had every excuse why he couldn't do acrylics. Ok. I get it, dip is easier and takes no talent. Ok, so go for the dip again- CAREFUL to remind Douglas that I like my nails wide and square. Well, I am sure you e guessed it by know, he he's filing away on the sides and I remind him. By this time, four nails are toast. I remind him about keeping them wide and our two conversations about that. Doug states "he can't remember" and "he didn't hear me"! He has one way of doing nails and that's it. A one trick pony. He then tells me that next time he will do the acrylics and fix my nails back to the way they were. He refused to fix my nails. So now I have all sorts of different shaped nails. This guy thinks he's good, his first problem. Lol! Suffice to say - go somewhere else if you want to have nice nails and if you want to be treated with respect. The little man had a tantrum because I spoke up. Such a jerk. read more

I was excited to come here after reading a lot of reviews and i have to say my expectations were met above and beyond. I paid 55$ for a French manicure which, would of actually been cheaper at my usual salon in Minneapolis. However i didn't mind the price for the great service i got. Trung (i hope i spelled it right) did my nails and he was super friendly, was patient with me in explaining everything after i changed my mind like 20 times. I got a little cut under my middle finger but my skin is really sensitive and it is rare if i don't get a cut whenever i go get my nails done. I got exactly what i wanted! They also offered drinks which was great although i didn't want any. The salon was very clean including the bathroom and you just got a sense of relaxation when walking in here. read more

I went to this nail salon this past weekend with a girlfriend. I am from out of town but this place had great reviews so we decided to try it out. First thoughts when we arrived was that the place was bright and clean. I appreciate that they asked everyone to wear a mask and wash their hands before their services. My friend and I got a basic pedicure and it was pretty disappointing. The services felt very rushed- the person doing my toes ended up buffing too hard and I have burns on my cuticles to show for it. He quickly painted the nail polish on and it appears almost chunky for not letting it dry in between. After the service- I hadn't even made it to the drying station and the employee was already on the next customer. I would recommend taking your service somewhere else. Update to original review: Wow. After the owner reached out to me on my previous review- less than an hour after posting- I decided to return to get my manicure corrected. A bit hesitant, I called and when I said my name the gentleman who answered instantly knew who I was/what I was calling to schedule and asked when I would like to come in. I was 20 min away and he said to come right in they would put me down for then. He created me warmly on the phone, not w a hint of annoyance or negativity. When I arrived the owner came up and apologized for the way my nail service went the previous day and much to my relief, that was the last time my review was mentioned. I was anxious that a negative review would affect my service but never did I feel like I was getting a "comped service" or begrudgingly worked on simply for a better review. We chatted away about my recent move, what I do for a living as it is why I keep my nails so short, kids. This time we did the gel polish and it's Amazing. I now know what the hype was about! The polish went on smoother than any manicure I have ever had, the shine doesn't dull once dry- btw, the quick dry time is enough of a reason to upgrade than any, no smudging or worrying about dings in almost dry polish. I could tell she took pride in her work and she showed me why she did certain things like smoothing the nail and placing the polish a bit from the cuticle (something that in my opinion made it look so much more polished and well done),reshaped and trimmed to perfection the jagged skin around the nail, then oiled them up to soften and moisturize. Honestly if this had been my first experience I would have been posting rave reviews along w the others they have on here. After, she mentioned they did speak w the technician and appreciated me being so candid and the pictures helped them know what areas to work w the other technician on. I'll be back. I'm really glad I took them up on their offer to do the manicure over, and when I do I'll be getting the gel too. I came here with my daughter to have a mommy and me day for her 5th birthday. It was her first time getting her nails done and my first time coming. It was a whim and the only place we found that had space for walk ins. I wish I could say we had a great experience. The girl doing her nails spent the entire time scolding her. My daughter wasn't wiggling or moving at all but she kept scolding her to make sure she doesn't when she's done because she won't fix her nails if she ruins it. I could understand if she was moving around or being difficult but she was sitting still. She kept asking her for her name and introducing herself to her and telling her it was her birthday, just excited, but that seemed to annoy her more. I asked her to be nice to her and she didn't have to talk to her but she didn't need to be rude to her, I mean she's just an excited 5 year old. I also asked her to be gentle with her nails because my daughter said ouch and told her to just file no cut. But still did it anyways. My poor daughter sat there stiff as a board to scared to move. Even when she wanted to go to the bathroom, she was scared to go and was whimpering because she said the girl told her to not move. I tried to smile through it for her to try and make the most of it for her. Now I wish I could of spent more time keeping an eye on her, HOWEVER! The lady doing my nails nearly cut the tip of my toe off. Yes, the tip of my toe with a nail clipper! I don't know how she mistook the meat of my toe as a nail! I yelled ouch and she didn't stop until I pulled my foot away. That was not the only injury. Once the other girl finished my daughter's nails, she moved to help the lady that hurt me. She did the cuticle care and sliced the big toe! I was bleeding non stop. She put some liquid to stop it from bleeding and I'm assuming antiseptic. It did not stop bleeding the entire time! She didn't even say sorry. I was mad and they knew it but apparently me telling het she was being rude to my daughter made her angry. Also! I asked for a specific package, at one point the First Lady asked if I wanted to add a callous treatment and I had said yes. I was also getting a dip manicure simultaneously as well which they kept nipping during the cuticle care. That was the only thing I wanted added on. I wanted to just leave because this whole experience was painful for both of us, my toe was still bleeding and they were not nice what so ever! I couldn't believe they were making me pay full price for everything after injuring me, hurting my daughter's toes after I asked her to not cut her nails just file, being rude to us. I didn't want to argue I just wanted to leave. Now when it came to pay...1 kids mani/pedi, 1 dip manicure - I was charged $189.34!!!!! Apparently when she asked if I wanted a callous treatment with my pedicure, they ADD AN ENTIRE ADDITIONAL PEDICURE PACKAGE ON TOP OF THE ONE YOU ALREADY AGREED TO WITHOUT TELLING YOU UNTIL ITS TIME TO PAY! You're supposed to apparently know they add an extra full pedicure package ON TOP of the one you pick. Horrible experience! I went 8/13/22. If I hadn't been in the process of moving at that time, I would of gone back when the manager/owner was available. My toes were so tender and sensitive for weeks! Especially the one that she tried to literally cut off with a nail clipper because she had already pushed down on the clipper onto my toe. Beware! Management needs to train staff on customer service and apparently skills as well. I've never had this type of experience and issues at any other salons I've ever gone to. I don't remember their names but if management has cameras, she should check them for 8/13/22. I can't speak for the other techs because this was my first and only time here but these 2 ladies were horrible! I was on business in Sioux Falls and needed a gel mani and regular pedi. I liked the look of this salon/reviews so I booked. I lowered the score because even though I was 5 minutes late I waited over 1/2 hour. Lexi was my nail tech and she was great!! She does a great job and an awesome massage! If you can extend the massage do it! She was really nice to talk with and made me laugh. I wasn't crazy about a top color we added to the gel but that was no problem for her as she suggested other options. I never felt like she was rushing or wanting the appointment to be over even though I'm a pain sometimes lol. One other note is my cost for a regular pedicure and gel mani was $68! I was in town visiting, and I wanted to get a shellac manicure done before going out with some friends. I made an appointment about 24 hr in advance, and they fit me into their tight schedule. You need to sign in at the desk when you arrive, as that is the only way they can keep up with who is next. However, no one mentioned this to me when I walked in, and I didn't realize that I'd missed something until I saw an employee look at the list and call someone's name ahead of mine. So, be sure you sign in!! Their gel manicure isn't much of a manicure, she filed a few of my nails and just barely trimmed my cuticles. However, I was very impressed with their selection and quality of shellac (gel) polish. My technician was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had regarding nail services.
