UV Gel fill in with regular OPI polish.
    Stephanie V.

As my best friend and I waited for my car to be worked in Sears we decided to walk around the mall and get our nails done. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I specialize in nails as well but instead of doing them myself I decided to treat myself. Since this winter has been so bad my nails are brittle and chipping so as I wait for the winter to get warmer I have been using UV Gel extentions. So all I needed was a fill. My nail tech had no name tag but was in the first station on your left when you walked in the door. She never looked me in the eye, nor shook my hand to introduce herself. No personality what so ever and I was very stand off-ish. She started to file off the gel polish and I warned her to be extra gentle around the fill line and cuticle area. And I also requested that she use a regular buffer than a Dremel tool for the fact if filed down too many layers of the nail when the UV Gel cures it has a painful burning sensation. She never answered or acknowledge that she heard me and kept filing away. As she put the UV Gel she made it really thick by the cuticle area and bumpy down near the free edge. She would do two nails and make me cure them. Argh....the burn...I was seriously biting my tongue and cheek. She also put the gel so close to my cuticle line you can still see the edges of gel on my cuticles which has it causing me to pick at it....she filed it down to attempt to smooth it with the Dremel tool. Then filed it again with a regular buffer. She smoothed it down (not perfectly smooth but fixed alot of the bumpiness), nice and thin, so at the free edge they look so natural however she did great with my left hand, my right hand not so much. She didn't use a cuticle pusher or trimmer. She gave a hand massage which my 4 year old son could do better. She just drag her hand over mind for 5 seconds. I look forward to this part because my hands are sore for doing the same thing everyday. I do a good, long hand massage for my clients and it's their favorite part. Heck, she could of made up for the crappy fill if she gave a great massage but I was extremely disappointed. Paint job she did good. They mainly use OPI, gels & polish. A few Essie, CND Shellac, some other brand I am not familiar with. But she did not use a base coat. She attempted to up sell me gel, since I originally picked a OPI Hello Kitty regular polish, but I wanted to leave so badly so I said no. The place is small, even without many people there it was wicked crowded with pedi chairs and manicure tables. Besides my nail beds burning I felt so nervous, due to the fact I am claustrophobic and with trying to move around in there it was a main reason I wanted to leave so bad. My friend got a regular manicure and she said it was good, however it seemed she was with her manicurist for only 15 minutes, which a manicure should be a 30 minute service. It's cheaper than the place on the 3rd floor. $30 for a UV gel fill, $15.00 for a manicure. I don't think I will be back at this location anytime soon.

24 hours after getting my eyebrows waxed- a few layers of skin was removed by the waxer. Please don't go here for your sake!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I had an awful experience. I've been going here for 4 years for every 3-4 months to get my eye brows waxed. The last time I went will easily be the last. I brought a friend who's in cosmetology and she said the tub of wax they use (since she came with me the second we went back about my eye brow burns) they sell at Sally's beauty salon for $7. The last time I went the lady severely pulled off a layer of skin under my eye brows in the top crease of my eyes. It did ooze a bit a few days after and scab up taking a total of 8ish days. I went to meet up with my friend who's a cosmetologist and her mouth dropped and she and I headed right back (mind you this was 20 minutes after I had them waxed and being probably my 30th time within my life it shouldn't have been nearly as inflamed as it was). As at times it was confusing to understand the staff I had told them to look at my eyes and under my eye brows. The first thing they did was try to play it off by "oo you're eyes sensitive". They brought me to the back and applied aloe - which she should have done right after she waxed my eyebrows. Thankfully they refunded me otherwise I would have had to seek a higher authority. Of course as you can imagine there were people there listening and looking and a few ladies getting their nails done wanted to see and couldn't believe what had happened. My cosmetologist friend said they're fortunate I don't want to pursue this in a case since it could scar. I've gotten my nails done here before and I would say you're better off investing in another place worth you're money and face! There's a picture a long with this to see of my eyebrows. Which is 24 hours after I had gotten them done.

I love coming here for pedicures. They are very good. I love the hot stone massage you get as part of the pedicure. It is sooo relaxing!

The second I entered, I was greeted by the woman at the counter she helped me with my purchase.. I peeked around to check the salon out because it was GORGEOUS! Plaza can get busy but lots of free parking . Walked in, no appointment but i didn't have to have to wait. There were a lot of people there getting their nails done. They were very professional. My bail tech, Phuong Tran, was courteous and quiet. He didn't say much during my pedicure other than to check if somethings hurt. He ended up re-doing one nail, he didn't explain why, but at least the end result was good. I got white with gel, which i always get before summer starts. I didn't have cash on me, since i decided to go there last minute, but the Tech had Venmo so i was able to send him a tip. The pedicure cost $55 which i think is good price for a gel pedicure. I will def go back.

Unfortunately I had a less than pleasant experience. Much of it was based on established practices,…read moreso a revisit wouldn't do much. I would have left at arrival but I felt committed to write this review. Yelp, I did this for you! Pros: 1. They did the job and painted my toes. 2. I did not develop an infection. (I waited a month to write this review.) Cons: 1. Despite scheduling ahead, a basic pedi for two took over 1.5 hours. 2. A large number of the bottles of polish were separated due to age. 3. There was a collection basket (not trash) for your used flip flops. 4. While they put a tissue over the chair to prevent my pants from getting covid, they did not like the tub with a plastic liner like Im used to seeing. 5. They filled my tub with cold water and never asked me about the temperature. My partner had to soak their feet waiting for me to finish for half an hour. 6. They did not put on a top coat or a finishing spray. No was there a drying table. (There seemed to be a half disassembled one by the door.) My polish started wearing off the next day. 7. The floor could have been cleaner. 8. A bright yellow metal "Hazardous Materials" cabinet was not the calming touch I'm used to at a salon. 9. No massage was offered. Also, I was uncomfortable. At some point I had frozen in an awkward position and my partner asked me what I was doing. I was so tense I had forgotten to put my arm down. 10. Price. While it was reasonable and about what I'm used to paying, I'm used to getting much more at my regular salon (or pretty much any salon). The sign on the wall pretty much summed up the experience: "What happens at the nail salon, stays at the nail salon." Except... it goes on Yelp.
