One of the worst Dip with extensions full set I ever had !!! I said short, but I never said, cut my nails till almost hitting the skin, this tech was my second visit !! No listening!! Just assuming These Nail TECHS need to pay attention more to their customers NEEDS rather than talking in their language all through my visit the woman didn't even ask me how short I wanted it. She just assumed what to cut and by then it was already too late. I'm very very upset I didn't even leave a tipl!!! I just don't know what's going on with these salons. Everyone said this place is great and now I know why. Went for mani pedi and I called an hrs before. No problem I was seen right away. Spotless place. Someone is always cleaning something but not so you would notice. Very calm peaceful atmosphere. Ann was my nail tech and she is MAGIC! Took her time and made sure every detail of my mani pedi was perfected. Tried the powder dip for first time and it's wonderful. But not yet! I have to mention that I left the salon more relaxed than I've been in many months. It's very big and beautiful inside yet tranquil and calm. These folks are true professionals. I got my nails done with gel and nail art. I was going to do a pedicure too but decided not to after. My nail tech didn't talk much but asked if it was okay. Did not come out like the picture I showed her. It was just a bunch of lines in one color but it was inconsistent. Lines were faded and off centered. I mentioned to them that it was off but it was painted over the same design to make it bolder. I just felt embarrassed by my nails that I just didn't want to stay longer. I just paid and left. I even tipped. I had high expectations as I read good reviews and my nail tech switched last minute to someone else and the new person sounded confident in doing the art. I also felt rushed. I did not have an appointment. No temp check, no 6 feet away from others. I am vaccinated but I still wore a mask for safety. Only thing was the access to hand sanitizer. I didn't feel comfortable either when I came in, like I was an inconvenience and when I changed my mind about the pedicure, they asked again if I wanted the pedicure. Picture ref below. very nice people and offered to redo my nails but I did not have the time. good pedicure but got dip nails and probably the worst I've ever had, I myself have DIYed dip nails better than this. asked for a shape, said tips were okay if needed to make it work. she said she could do it without the tips, spoiler alert. she could not. the dip was lumpy, all the nails were different lengths and shapes, some crooked and some at an angle. I was able to file them after into a better shape but still not great. no cuticle care so I had to do that after too, the dip was uneven so the color is uneven. once again, very nice people, but a waste of money and time unfortunately read more

Came here with a friend yesterday for the first time. Very big salon, so many colors to choose from. I immediately noticed the nail techs were friendly and social (and funny), which is always good in my opinion. My friend and I had Jamie and Sonny (Sunny?) as our techs and they were amazing! One thing I loved is how gently they remove gel here. The salon I usually go to tends to rush and really gouge/excessively buff your nails - leaving them thin and brittle. After getting another set of gels, my nails still feel thick and healthy! Jamie was very careful and attentive to detail - she got the shape perfect for me and was so polite. Also, the pricing is better than all the places I've been in providence. I will definitely be coming back here in the future, especially for my wedding nails later this year. read more

I understand that red can be a difficult color to work with... but it just did not turn out like my previous dip manicures. Once I got home, it looked like some of the nail was not even covered with the last polish and dried in sections. I really liked the atmosphere in the salon. It was $45.00 for my service, which is similar to others in the area. I'm still up to giving them another shot on my next dip service. Went here for the first time tonight with my sister for her bday. When we first arrived we were greater by a wonderful young gentleman. We picked out our colors and was seated right away. I had a woman named Katie and she had a woman named Tiffany. Both woman were very friendly and talkative to us. We all were laughing. They were both very helpful when looking for a color that I wanted. The atmosphere here was amazing, friendly and welcoming. It was very clean, and positive environment. I loved the set up of the nail station rather then the normal set up of individual stations. This place made a u shape and I got to sit next to my sister rather then half way across the building. Went to OPJ for the first time today. There are usually 5 of us that go to get our nails and feet done every two to three weeks. This is now our go to place. The salon is spotless, the staff incredibly nice. The owner never stops he makes sure that the clients are taken care of and are happy with the service. i've been going to OP, on and off, (partly bc I am in and out of town) for a while but I felt compelled to write a review after the delightful service that I received this past week. The ladies were running the desk this time -- a first that I could remember. They were so sweet and warm and kind, saying thank you and have a nice day, etc. as I was leaving. At many businesses this is standard operating procedure, but I'd never experienced it here before. I felt that I was welcome and that my business was appreciated. It's the little things. : ) David, the nail tech whom I had had once before, gave me a pedicure. I was especially impressed this day because he pointed out something I hadn't even noticed -- a rather large crack in the nail of my L big toe. He brought it to my attention and then immediately presented me with a solution, patiently explaining the whole thing. I was so grateful because A) I had not been aware that the nail was cracked and B) I wouldn't have known at all how to address it. With David's service, I felt well cared-for and valued as a customer. I'm looking forward to going back this week to treat myself to a manicure for Valentine's Day. read more

Chopped my nails pretty short at home and came here for a fresh mani while I let them grow again, Cindy did a very quick yet detailed SNS dip mani on my short tiny nails, she cleaned them up nicely and it was all pain free and appeared to be very sanitary. BEWARE: Gave out personal information to another client without permission. After a mediocre pedicure and dip manicure (that had to get fixed) for $80, the salon gave out my friend's personal information to another client without permission. The salon messed up and instead of handling the issue in a professional manner, they gave out someone's name and phone number to an unhappy client so that we could deal with the problem instead of the business. When I called asking for a refund I would strongly recommend you give someone else your business since this company is doing some pretty shady stuff (and the mani/pedi was not great). read more

Came with a party of 9 ladies. We were taking my grandmother out because her husband, our poppy, passed this week. I like that they could accommodate such a large body. We had an appt at 2 and it did take until about 2:15 to take us but it was extremely busy Saturday. The salon is much larger than expected. It seems very clean. They use plastic tubs in the pedicure chairs that they dispose of between each person. I like that they also have dividers between the pedi chairs if you want it more personal for some reason. Price is a little on the high end of the nail salon spectrum but I like that they offer the dip. I haven't done it yet but I think I will come some time to get a dip to see if t really last so long. Quality wise I got a pedi and gel mani and they both came out really nicely. He gave me such a long leg and foot massage. Yesssss. The guy who did my grandmother was also so nice and polite and even sang to her! The two ladies in my group who got acrylics also go designs and the girl who did my aunts smudged the design and she wasn't very happy. In all I will come back to try the dip. read more

Since moving to the area, OPJ has been my go-to nail salon. I have been here too many times to count and have never had an even slightly negative experience. I've probably had at least 10 different people do my nails (I can never plan ahead to make an appointment with the same person!) and have loved every one of them. This salon is consistent and efficient without making you feel rushed. The salon itself is aesthetically pleasing, open, and always feels clean. I can't really talk about how prices compare to surrounding places since this is the only salon I've been to in North Smithfield. I think prices are comparable to salons in Providence, but even if it were a little pricier I would still choose to come to OPJ! read more

I tried this place for the first time... very clean, Cindy was very nice and did a great job... however the mask nazi at the door needs to relax on his pull your mask up reminders.... I'm an adult... I was sitting by myself at the light to dry.... this is madness... I will not go back until covid is over. I understand that they are complying but do not mask shame me and treat me like a child... if I need a mask break and I'm not sneezing or coughing In people's faces then what is the problem. They do so good with designs and making sure my nails are perfect before I walk out the door. The space is very clean and so are their tools. I can't stop raving about how much I love this nail salon!! I recently relocated to providence and would still make the trip all the way back to this salon rather than go to a new one, they are that good! After I moved I tried 3 other nail salons around providence and still did not find the quality of the work or the cleanliness of the environment to that of this nail salon. I have been here several times over the last few months (pretty much every 2 weeks) and have had wonderful experiences. I've had many of the nail techs and all did a good job. Kim especially was very kind and detail oriented. Cookie is a lot of fun and very quick. If you book online make sure to do it at least a week in advance! My only complaint is that the online system doesn't show you what appointments aren't available so they will reject your time if it's already taken and you have to submit again. For that reason I would recommend booking pretty far in advance online or just calling in. read more

I went to at least 15 different salons trying to find the best nail place before I found this one and I love it here! The prices are fair. The services are amazing and my nails have never looked better. They give discounts via a rewards program and if you pay in cash. A little heads up you can only tip in cash here. I've been a loyal customer for years and my past 3 sets have just been okay. But with the spike in business that happens during the warmer months I thought they are just swamped. The last set I received was awful. She had to restart a few times and when she was finally finished the dip was so thin I knew a strong breeze would break them. But I paid and tipped out. Within an hour my nail broke from me putting on my coat. I called and was told I would have to wait until their last appointment to get it fixed. Whatever it happens. I go back and get the broken nail fixed. And was told I could leave because my nails were dry. Not the case as I was rushed out of the door- they smudged instantly. I walk back in to see if they could fix it and the young man who runs the front desk had to fix my nails. As the week has progressed I've lost 5 nails! My lazy butt is not very active so I don't understand why this is happening. It's literally impossible to lose nails like this unless you walk around punching walls- which I promise I'm not doing!
