After a long, traumatic move cross-country, my feet were a mess, but she put them right in a single session. After trying a different salon, I ended up with issues which, again, she immediately set to solving when I returned. I won't stray again. She's pleasant and easy-going, and I leave with my feet looking good and in the best possible shape. If the massage were slightly longer and deeper, she'd be sheer perfection, but the rest--and her reasonable price + no annoying upsells--makes me grateful to have found her.

I called ahead of time to see if they could fit me in for a gel manicure, it was 2 hours before…read moreclosing. They said "yes, come in" and I said I would be there in about 10-15 minutes. 8 minutes later, they called me asking where I was. This has never happened to me before so I was a little taken aback. I told them I was still on my way and I would be there shortly. I arrived a few minutes later and was directed to a nail table with Gloria. There was one other customer and 2 other employees there. Gloria didn't make eye contact with me and didn't speak to me the entire time. My manicure was very aggressive and rushed. The hand massage lasted all of 10 seconds per hand and she did a terrible job, clearly not enjoying herself at all. The color of the polish didn't at all match the color of the bottle (#408 OPI Dance Party Teal Dawn). I wanted a blue teal color and it is much more Kermit the Frog green. Each one of my nails is a different shape and length. The UV hand lamp was totally crusty with old sparkle nail polish and an unknown sticky substance. I paid $35 plus $10 tip. 4 days after getting this manicure, the polish is peeling and cracking. Really terrible quality. I wouldn't give this place another shot based on this singular experience.

I brought it to her attention, and she canceled the transaction and assured me I wouldn't be charged the $15. She then processed another transaction charging me the correct $10. Fine. Well, yesterday I received my credit card statement, and there was BOTH a $15 and a $10 charge for that day from Amy's (see photo, but click on it to see the whole thing with the charges). Today I went into the salon and showed the statement to a woman who identified herself as Amy. I reminded her of what happened, showed her the credit card statement with the error and asked for a refund of the $15. She refused to refund me because she couldn't find evidence of the charge on her receipts from that date. This was AFTER I showed her my credit card statement clearly showing the $10 charge and the $15 incorrect charge (see photo). She argued and argued. In both charges, it clearly said Amy's Nail lounge. Then she takes my credit card statement along with her receipt records, walks over to another customer, and starts explaining to the other customer why she was right, and I was wrong. I could not understand why she would get another customer involved, and it was clear that other customer was uncomfortable and didn't want to be involved either. Then she came back to me and continued arguing. She said if it wasn't showing up in her records, then the charge never happened. I continually pointed out my credit card statement to her (see photo), but she wouldn't budge. I just ended up walking out without my refund. Never again.

She kept nodding, but she wouldn't look at it. I explained that I'd struggled with ingrown (big toe) nails in the past, and it took years to solve it so I asked her to look. She nodded and said she got it. Then she started to work and I thought she was being a bit aggressive since I didn't actually *have* a problem but wanted to avoid one. I explained again, don't cut down the side b/c that's where it gets ingrown. She glances and WILL NOT LOOK CLOSELY but nods and says she understands. So at the end of the pedicure, I look down, and she has cut BOTH sides of both big toe nails more than half way down the bed! I have never seen such a thing. Anyone who has never had a problem would after this treatment--and now on BOTH toes! I tell her I'm definitely going to have a problem and she says no the round shape is better. She swears it'll be fine. 5 weeks later and it's hurting b/c of course the corner she created more than halfway down my nail bed has grown into the skin that has moved into place around it. This is Feet 101, and this is how I got into the problem it took literally years of careful, regular pedicures to solve with someone who understood and worked faithfully on it. So now my inexpensive occasional pedicure will end up costing me regular pedicures for years IF I can find someone who is good enough to stay on top of this. If she had just looked for 3 seconds when I asked her to, she wouldn't have done this to me. But she will never understand (1) the pain, (2) the literal years of inconvenience or (3) the expense she will cost me. I wish I could give her negative stars for that.
