Reflexology is listed as a service so I'm still unclear with this. My pedicure was fine. The technician was pleasant and I was satisfied. My friend, however, received a terrible pedicure. This technician (I believe she was the receptionist or something) was very unpleasant and discombobulated. She spent most of the time wringing out her long sweater sleeves (that she kept dunking into the foot soaking basin) over my friends feet and complaining. It is also worth mentioning that she kept wiping her nose with her hand and then going back to the feet. Then the massages. My technician, albeit very kind and pleasant, just rubbed lotion on my feet for 30 min with no compression, or even pressure. My friend was luckier in this department and an actual massage therapist came and gave him a proper massage with stones. I was very jealous to see it as we paid the same price & a foot massage was the main reason for my visit- but, it is what it is. Side note worth mentioning: the girl with the wet sweater sleeves literally came back and interrupted my friends massage to complain about a gift certificate to the massage therapist (issue involving another customer), literally halting my friends massage for almost 4 minutes. Lesson I learned and why I'd give it another shot: if looking for a legit massage, ask for an actual massage therapist. This therapist's name was Clara I believe *and my friend claimed she was legitimately good. Some other positives- the place was clean and beautifully decorated. Manager seemed tentative. Most of staff was engaging and pleasant.

I was never asked if I wanted a massage, nor was I told it would cost extra -- let alone $80 extra. The second time, the same thing happened: services were added on that I didn't ask for, and when I questioned the total, she panicked, clearly realizing the mistake, and offered a discount for next time -- which doesn't make up for overcharging me in the moment. This place consistently adds on charges without transparency or consent and then can't get their story straight. I highly recommend getting your nails done elsewhere. You deserve to not be charged for services you didn't receive or ask for.

Poor service of a pedicure and manicure - I was completely rushed through it; no scrubbing of the…read morefeet (the person next to me was getting a proper scrub and massage); it was the fastest turn around I ever had for a pedicure. I really wanted to ask if that was it after literally 5 seconds of a scrub. The manicure was worse - no massage, not even a double coat (it looks like there is no color at all) and she was aggressive and made my thumbnail bed bleed with the cuticles I believe. Oh - that stung a lot and she said nothing. That is a first for me - I've never had my nails bleed or been treated so badly. From the moment I entered, this person had attitude and threw my shoes in the corner. She did not apologize and when I spoke to the manager and she requested that the person, Elaine, apologize but then there was more attitude - shocking! I have no idea why this person was in a terrible mood. I had hoped that they would make it right by offering a re-do or to give me a pedicure or pampering treatment another time for free which might have had me come back to them - but they didn't. At my request, they refunded the manicure but they lost two customers (my friend was with me). I have used them for 4 years and found them 'okay' as it's a good location and convenient for me but this is the push I needed to find somewhere else that has good service. It wasn't a good experience at all - I left quite upset and wished I hadn't entered that day. The manager said the service was still given even if the attitude was poor when I asked what she would do to make this right (she said she'd speak with Elaine afterward). However, attitude is PART of the service AND I didn't get my feet scrubbed, I didn't get the hand massage and I didn't get the second coat of varnish. The only comfort was there were two other staff who overheard the whole thing and they were supportive.

Resumed my search a few days ago and found John Regal Salon with a lot of positive reviews. Close to my office and in a pinch because I needed them done, I made an appt. I was taken on time and John is so nice! Warm and friendly, a little music playing. He has his own suite within Sola Salon so it's one on one time. Today, I opted for a gel mani and I'm impressed with his work. I didn't say much, I let him do his thing to gauge him. Great job! Nicely shaped, cuticles clean, nice polish application. When Willow did my eyebrows she first looked at them while I was sitting up and we spoke about her plan. I have notoriously wild eyebrows and it's very difficult to get them right so I often let them grow out after someone has gone too thin, or misshapen them. That was the case when I went to Violet- they were fully grown and bushy, and you can see the fantastic result in my photo. Willow is clearly very experienced and great at what she does.
