I really enjoyed my pedicure here today. The place was very calming and I only had a short wait. I was offered a beverage which I appreciated. The woman who did my pedicure was very attentive and she did a great job. I liked the products they were using and they felt nicer than other places offer. As a salon, this one had a steady clientele. I could tell that many of the women were regulars and even had appointments. I know I was a walk-in today and they were able to accommodate me, but I'm sure on a busy day the wait would be longer if I had shown up at a peak time, but then again, I'd expect that at a good nail place! read more

I've been to this salon at least 5 times in the last 6 months and have been impressed with the work they've done every time. The first few times, I got acrylic nails done by the guy -- I can't remember his name! I think he may be one of the few nail techs who "specialize" in doing acrylic. He takes his time, makes sure you like everything, and has always done a great job. This last time, I got a gel manicure and was very happy with her work! Your hands get a "pre manicure" moisturizing, a warm towel wrap, and a massage with warm lotion at the end. They really take their time with you here. Somewhat biased from the standpoint that I have been going here for over 8 years now for waxing, manicures, pedicures and an all out relaxation. The only nice thing I can say is the owner does remember her regulars names. The quality of the technicians work was the worst. I posted photos in hopes that others will be warned what to expect. I wanted matte but owner talked me out of that by saying it would look bad after 3 wks. I'm traveling overseas for the first time to meet my in laws and will get them done again there but I thought ok she has a point I can just get a fill in when I get there and they can add color later so agreed with the clear nail. Btw I haven't had nails done in 10 yrs and went by other reviews online saying these people did good quality. Shame on those of you who say these people are good. I should've been able to trust my fellow ladies. The owner started with gluing the extensions on but she ended up gluing a good portion of my skin under the nail but didn't notice until after it dried, and then proceeded to pull my skin to the point it almost ripped under four of them. I also ended up with glue on skin above the cuticle, still can't figure how that happened. Where the extension was added to nail you can see cracks where it's glued. I'm assuming that happened while they were filed before the acrylic was added on top. From the technician over filing into my cuticles and making three of my fingers bleed. The length I wanted kept getting shorter and shorter with each time the technician filed. Then the application of the acrylic is very uneven. My almond shape is inconsistent and crooked. I asked for thin tips since I work with tiny beads and they are so thick I can't pick up a pin. Also the acrylic dust under nail didn't get cleansed and the extra acrylic got under the nail so when I did the light under the table it set both to be hard and since u can see through the nail it's very ugly. Now I'm watching the three nails that bled and praying I don't get infected! Beware! read more

Overall, not a friendly nor thorough experience at Nail Envy. I did not make an appointment prior because of their signage that say they take walk ins, but I think my advice would be to absolutely make an appointment. It was very busy at 2:00pm on a Monday. They seemed almost annoyed that I did not have an appointment. However, I waited to write my review to see how the gel manicure lasted. It has been about two weeks now without any chips or cracking, which I'm happy with. I would like to try them again, pending I've made a concrete appointment with them. read more

I wish I could give them 10 stars. They are seriously, in my opinion, the best. I've gone here for over 8 years. Lovely staff, the owner is so warm and welcoming, kind and sweet. Over the years I have found two favorite techs, but all of the staff have been fantastic. They offer you complinentary wine or water or tea while you are there and encourage you to relax. They put on shows like Lifetime movies or E Tonight, Ellen Degeneres, Oprah, or Steve Harvey. The ambience is calming and decorations are tasteful. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and they always remember your name. Love them! The best experience I've had at a salon or spa, bar none. read more

I came here last Friday to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. I asked the nail technician what brand of gel polish they carried and she said "OPI" and then seated me at the pedicure station she then asked me if I would like water, wine, or coke. I said I would like a coke and she brought me a tiny bottle of water. She then had me put my feet into the pedicure bowl and asked about the temperature of the water which was good. She filed and buffed my nails while my feet soaked and then proceeded to put my hands inside of bags filled with cheap watered down lotion for the ENTIRE length of my pedicure...I couldn't even use my hands to drink my tiny bottle of water. Or use my hands to entertain myself with my phone since they cater only to old bougie housewives by playing soap operas on their two flat screen TVs directly in front of the pedicure stations *eye rolls so hard* as my pedicure was taking place the lotion became cold and very uncomfortable and annoying. And I'm still wondering why put ANY oils or lotions in the nail plate if you're doing a gel manicure?? the Nail plate needs to be dehydrated for those services. I do love the color I chose for my toes though. So when she gets to the massage part of the pedi she wasn't even paying attention and honestly a kitten with broken paws could have done a better job. She was looking all around and not focusing or putting any passion or thought into what she was doing at all. After the pedicure she took me to the station to have my manicure done and pulls out gelish brand polish. But was using a different brand base coat and different brand of top coat.. she used two coats of base coat (why?) three coats of color (again why?) and two coats of top coat.. (WHY??) and then out of no where an argument between an employee and a young girl in a back room breaks out and lasts for an uncomfortable amount of time... she then had my nails cure under the lamps for 4 minutes. honestly the entire experience was just awful and not relaxing whatsoever.. then she told me it was $60!!! I paid but WILL NOT return...Ever..and honestly I'd like a refund and to speak with a manager. read more

A little disappointing for the price. We paid $40 + for the spa pedicure and it wasn't any different than a regular pedi I've received anywhere else. There was no leg or foot massage and everything else about the pedi was average. The good was just how nice and friendly the staff is, how clean and nice the facility is, and the complimentary glass of wine.. I would not go back however...just wasn't worth the money. read more

My daughter and I went here on a Friday morning while in town visiting. We chose this place based on Yelp reviews and I honestly can't believe it was the same place. I had a gel manicure and my daughter had a regular manicure. It wasn't until I got in the car (in better light) that I realizes what a horrible job she had done. Polish all over my cuticles, the tip of my thumb, missing spots on the edges and a rough overall finish. I would have thought I just had someone new when my daughter commented "it looks like a kid did my nails". She had the same problem. Polish all over the edges, bubbles in the polish. Seriously the worst job I've ever seen. We were late to meet friends or I would have gone back in to show them. Instead, I will just get them done over in 3 days when I back home. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and spoke good English. The manicures themselves were nothing special. Just basic. That would have been fine if the end result looked even somewhat professional but our nails look terrible. I am in town from Atlanta visiting my husbands family for Easter and decided last minute to treat myself to a much needed manicure and pedicure. I read the reviews and was concerned that not having an appointment would be a deal breaker, but I called when I was on 5 minutes away which was perfect timing. While they were not able to do both at once, there was a very short wait time between my nails being done and the next gal being able to do my pedicure. The place is very unassuming while perfectly clean and the service is top notch quality. They stayed busy for the entirety of my two hour visit. Don't go here for a regular manicure. I went with a friend who ended up not getting anything done due to NO communication. I felt rushed and had awful service. My nails are squared off (usually get asked round or square) ... also at most nail salons you pay $12-15 for a good service, that includes the typical hand massage. Nope. I have been going here for about 3 years and am very happy. The technicians are very good and customer oriented, especially Ann, who I always ask for. I especially like it because it's owned and run by a woman who also works there, and I think this makes a difference. In some other nail salons there are male managers or owners who seem to only be in charge of overseeing the employees. I always get a gel manicure and am always happy. I have been going to Nail Envy since 2005 and only recently did I have a issue at the shop. Only recently did I discover that I don't get the same treatment as the white customers that have been going to the shop for the same length of time or shorter. I went in to get a polish change and pedicure with the paraffin treatment on both hands and feet. The shop was pretty empty and only three people in the massage chairs and I was asked to vacate my chair for another customer even though there were at least six other chairs with no occupants sitting in them. I talked to Ms. Vanna and she felt like nothing was wrong even though I expressed I was upset and felt like I was being treated differently. I expected more from Ms. Vanna since I have been going for 7 years in customer service to help smooth out the incident, but nothing so I have decided to find a different nail salon. read more

Visiting Greenville on a girls' weekend and stopped in for pedicures. They were great! The spa is super clean, the staff was very friendly and professional, they have awesome massage chairs for spa pedicures, and offer complimentary beverages too! Highly recommend. I have been going to nail envy for about 3 years now off and on. I have ran into several issues throughout those 3 years ..I was looking for new nail salon in the area since I had just moved saw nail envy near the mall passing by and stopped in Vana was really nice at first ...she did my nails really good I made an appointment and came back I always make appointments before I go because she told me that I need to. Well I made appointment with her but when I went there someone else did my nails that was fine until my next appointment someone else did my nails I made it clear that I want her to do my nails but she said she was always booked. One time I made an appointment when I got there she told me I had to reschedule that was fine inconvenient but fine. But it kept happening several other times I made an appointments I get there I wait for 30 minutes to an hour they tell me they're booked and have to reschedule. I thought this was rude the place wasn't even packed so I found another nail salon to go to. Some of the nail technicians in there are good and some are not they tell you you need an appointment and then they make you reschedule ....they have their favorites. They take some walk ins and only certain nail techs can do certain jobs. read more
