I came here because of the great reviews and because the yelp app has the 10% discount. While my technician was friendly, I was rather disappointed in the quality of my dip manicure. First, the manicure was way too thick. There were so many layers that the surface was no longer smooth, it was kind of grooveSecond, the manicure did not go all the way to the sides of my nails, as shown in the pictures. When I tried to use the 10% discount, the technician told me she didn't know about it and would not honor it. I also asked about a cash discount, and she said there was none. I will continue looking for a better nail salon in Greenville.

I'm sooo happy with my nails!! I went to a place in Simpsonville and it's barely been 2 weeks and they looked horrible. I didn't get his name at VIP Nails but he fixed the shape, made them smooth and they just look beautiful. I'm very VERY picky about my nails and this will be my go to salon. Plus they made me laugh and had HGTV on so it was a good relaxing day. My predicure was nice too, very detailed. Highly recommend them.

First time at VIP nails because I thought I could use the 10% Yelp Check In discount - that doesn't work. They did do a fantastic job on my nails for $35! At first I felt like they were annoyed that I walked in and I didn't feel very welcomed but by the end of it, they were very sweet and complimented me.

The nails feel so thick and sturdy and the pedicure was very fast and efficient. The staff was really friendly with a good sense of humor and everything felt clean and well cared for. I called ahead around 5pm but no one answered. Yelp said it closed at 7pm. I called again and a male answered and don't speak English at first. I was persistent. He said they close at 6pm but after some conversation he said come at 6pm. So I did! Helen was meticulous and thorough. I got the VIP pedicure for $50. I charged it but tipped in cash. I chose the peppermint flavor. My biggest gripe was that she did not put on a quick dry. My nails were wet for hours and a few needed touching up. read more

I went in to get French tip gel on acrylic with square cut and they barely greeted me which I got over quickly. They had a YouTube short clip on repeat the entire time... same 30 second video and audio was incredibly annoying. The person I had glooped the acrylic mix and barely filed it down till I said something and did it again but barely. The square was not square at all and he started doing the base for French coat and one coat thinking it was fine but barely covered the needed color so I asked to do another layer. He started doing the white was it was just horrible so I told him to leave it... still paid 40 bucks for this... .... I let things go a lot but this was just horrible read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted and the guy says he can do it then later he says he can't do it and he could do chrome instead. I said okay even though I was already annoyed but we were halfway through my service at this point so then he proceeded to put a plain pink polish on my nails. Once he puts the polish on he says it'll be $15 more for chrome and I was like we already established a price so why am I paying extra when you couldn't even do the original design I wanted? He pulls up the picture of the nails I wanted and zooms all the way in and says "it looks like one color" when you can clearly see it's ombré. He says he would've had to do dip powder to achieve the look I wanted. He then tries to "discount" the price of the chrome but I refused anything else from them because they have ZERO INTEGRITY. read more

My husband and I have been on an extended road trip and were really looking forward to getting our nails done (him just to get his feet massaged!). I booked a pedi for him and mani/pedi for me. I specifically asked when booking the appointment if I could get the mani/pedi done at same time so my husband wouldnt have to wait while I had the 2nd service and they said yes. So we get there and someone starts working on my husband's pedi pretty quickly. I waited about 10 minutes before someone came to start mine. I asked about the mani and was told it would be after and they laughed when I mentioned getting it at same time so I said I'd skip it, disappointed. The pedicure went fine until she started to put cotton between my toes and I asked about the massage that's inc, she said it was still coming. I found this odd since my toes would be wet then but said okay. After polishing she pulled down my leggings and said all done...I asked again about the massage, this time she said I already got it.. what the?! I absolutely got no massage believe me, not one second of massage. Mind you this was after watching my husband close his eyes and enjoy at least 5 minutes of massage, lucky him! I gave up at that point and we paid and left. Oh and my polish wasnt the one I asked for (you dont get to touch the bottle, they go get it based on a color stick) but I didn't want to bother at that point so I have pink toes instead of purple. So $70 with tip for 2 basic pedis, one without a massage. 3 stars since my husband had a good experience, if just me it would've been 2. read more

Girl left before pedicure was done to go to the mall for an anklet. Some guy said they were done, so I paid. I didn't put on shoes for 2 hours and they smudged. Returned the next day and the girl who did them was lying down and told me it was impossible that she messed up. Also, why don't they have dryers? She did them again, messed them up with the little flip flop, scoffed, did them again, and told me not to wear shoes for a few hours. Trash place. read more

1st time visit to VIP Nails. A great location right next to the Haywood Mall on Haywood Mall. Was immediately greeted by the owner who asked me if this was my first visit and where I heard about them from. Always a great sign that the owner is engaged. They have a TON of color options including gel/SNS . Was offered water and the chairs were comfortable. My nail tech was very friendly. I did their spa pedicure. She did a great job and I was in and out within a half hour. Will definitely be back! read more

I've been to several nail salons in the Greenville area and I've yet to find my "regular" nail place. I'm picky about my nails and if I'm going to take time out of my day I want to be happy with the outcome. This place did an amazing job. I'm so happy with both my pedicure and gel mani, I will definitely be going back. I really liked how they didn't rush or make me feel like an inconvenience, especially since they were short-handed the day I went. I'd much rather wait and have it done right. Worst place ever!! John was great to fit me in but the lady who did my nails was awful. Didn't tell me I needed a mask until after she was doing my nails and then said they would charge me for it. Told me she didn't get why they accepted me as a walk-in (I had an appointment). Told me to get up and go to the next chair then told me to sit back down. Then 10 seconds later tells me to move to the front as she had to clean the chair I sat in. She also told me my feet were ugly and weird. Literally done with this place! read more

It started with her not paying attention and filling my skin. It did t hurt but I was slightly annoyed. I've never had a pedicure where I had to flinch multiple times when she was pushing my cuticles back. It was painful! Then using the cuticle trimmer she cut my skin somehow. Proceeds to put maybe alcohol on it? It stung like a dickens. And I I might have not posted this review but, the pedicure itself is terrible! I can paint my toes better that this. Would not recommend. read more

I took my young grand daughters to VIP Nails for a special Glam Day. Not only did the technicians do a fabulous job, but the were so friendly and attentive to the girls. They made it so special for us. My nail technician was very detailed and was so careful due to my feet issues with diabetes. The salon was immaculate. The staff is super funny and friendly. I enjoyed the staff a lot, but the work isn't the quality I was looking for. I went in for SNS manicure. It was not the usual dip powder manicure. The nail tech dip his brush into the purple acrylic liquid and dip it in the SNS powder and it put on my nails like if he was doing an acrylic overlay. Then the tech topped it off which a gel top coat. Now it made the process much faster, but it took away from the color I wanted from the powder. Also, the tech did not do a great job filing my nails, he rounded my nails (which I like my nails square) and they were filed a little uneven. My nails don't look bad, but I'm also very picky and it wasn't what I was looking for. I still have hope in them I will try them again and give the tech more direction to what I want & I hopefully will get the results I'm looking for. read more

I must admit, I'm disappointed. I went during my lunch break and there were two women working. One did my manicure and the other did my gel. The woman who did my gel was working on three other manicures including mine. She was going so fast and my nails are sloppy. The place is also messy and not well kept. I will not go back. read more

The woman who did my dip on the other hand made me feel so unwelcomed. I could tell from the moment she sat down she wanted nothing to do with me. She made two of my fingers bleed with the drill and my dip nails definitely lack quality. Uneven drilling, sides of nail with no dip at all, hang nails, bits of the dip hanging over my nails, and dip under my nails! When I went to wash my hands I noticed a good amount of build up under my nails so I sat back in my seat to get it filed down. She was so mad!! And when I said there was some left after she filed a bit off she literally shooed me away. I am willing to try this place again but I will refuse to have that same woman work on my nails!!

We made appointment for nine of our family members to get either our mani and Petty's done . Because we were in town to to surprise my sister who has stage 4 cancer . After all none of us showed up at the shop the rest of the family follow and it was like a family occasion ! We had a bunch of fun as we were getting our nails done and VIP was very accommodating! That even offer water to those of our family members who are not even there to get services. As a result two more family members had manicures done making it a total of 11 people ! You must try VIP NAILS! I have been twice and was very pleased! Michelle took great care of me both times and I have already made an appointment to return! Believe it or not...the first time I went was just before Thanksgiving. The last 2 months have been so hectic that I did not make it back until LAST NIGHT! At other places, I've had my dip manicure crack and at VIP nails, I've never had that issue. I had a dip manicure and couldn't be happier. Lots of colors to choose from and they did a great job.
